My experience has been positive while my mum was resident in the care home. My observations while visiting the home I observed care delivered with respect compassion and dignity. The staff were outstanding as a team. I also saw young male carers who showed patience and care at times difficult situations. The staff were welcoming to us as a family and I was reassured that my mum was safe and cared for. I can't praise the staff highly enough they are outstanding and hopefully get recognition for their efforts. Thanks again.
My dad has been a resident here since December and he loves it. He has settled in with no problems whatsoever. I am always made to feel very welcome when visiting and there are always plenty of staff around tending to the resident's needs. This is a very nice care home and I wouldn't want Dad to be anywhere else. I would recommend Hutton Park to anyone considering using this kind of place for themselves or loved ones.
Mum has been in Hutton Park for over a year now. She is very settled and happy at the care home. The care provided by the staff is excellent, but that not only includes the carers. The chefs, kitchen hands, housekeeping, laundry staff, activities coordinator and managers all care about the residents. They know the residents by name, they find a way of engaging with the residents that is personal to them and you can see the joy this brings to the residents, they feel that they matter. Hutton Park is a breath of fresh air and I just wish so many more care homes provided such an excellent and caring environment for our vulnerable elders. As a visitor and a local it is a joy to visit the home and Mum. There are so many different types of activities that take place and all residents are encouraged to join in, but there are also activities for smaller groups, and one-to-one engagement. Families are also encouraged to join in, creating shared memories.
Our dad receives the best care here - the staff are attentive and responsive to residents' needs at all times. The entertainment manager, also does an amazing job, with a wide range of activities on offer. The location couldn't be better - my dad's room overlooks the Clyde, and there is access to a garden at the back of the house too.
My mother has been a resident at Hutton Park for more than 5 years and I can honestly say that in all that time the care, attention and genuine affection from all the staff has been outstanding. Nothing ever seems like too much trouble for the amazing team of carers and they somehow manage to create a lovely family atmosphere for all the residents. It makes such a difference to know that our mother is living in a place where she is not only safe and looked after, she is genuinely cared for too.
Dad has been at Hutton Park for over 4 years now, and his care has been excellent throughout that time. He is healthier and much better cared for than before when he was living at home. Visiting is easy and the level of interesting activities available to keep residents engaged is very impressive. He needs a lot of support and personal care these days but that is all provided very professionally and sensitively.
The staff and management are all friendly and find time to talk to you on visits. The entertainment is great. My dad loves to dance and there are many opportunities for him to do so. It's like one big happy family. Long may it continue.
My father is very happy at Hutton Park and the staff are excellent. There are lots of entertainment events put on for the residents and staff always make us feel very welcome when we visit. Staff accommodate wider family get-togethers with Dad very well e.g. birthdays.
Mum has been in Hutton Park for a year now and has blossomed since she arrived, l cannot fault the staff and the care Mum is given is second to none. There are always lots of activities going on, and the residents really enjoy them. I cannot believe how much entertainment they put on with lots of outings to local restaurants and theatres. Everyone is treated as family.
Our mum has been at Hutton for a year now and is very settled and happy. Was telling me as we sat on the promenade watching the sunset that she liked where she was, and that everyone was so nice and helpful. Mum enjoys her meals and no dishes to wash after she says.
This is the second time my brother has been in Hutton Park, first time as respite and now as a full-time resident and I cannot fault them in any way. My brother is looked after very, very well, I live abroad and I am kept up to date on his progress regularly. I was over visiting this week and saw his room for the first time and I was very impressed. My mind is at complete rest now regarding my brother, wouldn't want him anywhere else but Hutton Park. Thank you all for your care and attention to him.
My dad moved to Hutton Park in March this year. He has Vascular Dementia and after a week there his condition and behaviour unfortunately deteriorated and became very challenging. After a further week, I received a call from the management telling me that he could no longer stay there and must be removed that day. After protracted negotiations and with pressure from other relevant professionals he was allowed to stay until I found a more suitable home for him. The matter has now been investigated and dealt with by the Care Inspectorate and my dad is happily settled elsewhere. The staff at Hutton Park are all lovely and very caring. They work extremely hard and provide a high standard of care. It is a generally good care home but I would advise families to prepare for the worst if your relative’s condition should deteriorate.
My wife has now been in Hutton Park for three and a half months. She feels completely at home in it and I feel more than happy to leave her there. I experience the friendliness and caring of the staff on their patients/residents of a very high quality. They are obviously well-trained and handle all situations with kind care including doing the laundry for them. In fact, the standard of behind-the-scenes work is of a very high standard and I feel very happy that my wife is in such an environment.
Since my wife entered the home in early July 2022 my family and I have been greatly impressed by the care received. The management and staff's level of dedication, friendly demeanour, patience and understanding under what clearly are very challenging and stressful circumstances is evident at every visit. In all that they do they create a "substitute family" atmosphere with compensates for the reduction in "blood family" contacts. Not having been created for care home purposes the property is not ideal in design and layout but the new purpose-built home is about to be constructed at the south end of the town should give staff, residents and visitors a massive lift.
My dad entered Hutton Park In May, we were very concerned that he would find it hard as he is a very private man. He surprised us as he settled in brilliantly, the staff are so friendly, and he has mixed well, going into the lounge and joining in activities. He has been eating food that he would not have normally, which is brilliant. Nothing is too much for the staff, if we ask, we get. We have just attended a jubilee garden party which was outstanding; they could not have done any more for us, excellent day
Excellent home in a beautiful location. The level of care my Mum receives is awesome. Lots of activities and nothing is too much trouble. Visitors are always made welcome and staff are eager to help in any way they can.
Excellent staff always going the extra mile to help everyone. Brilliant level of care and meals are lovely looking. Management very supportive and activities very well organised. Home is located in a great area so close to the seafront. Can’t praise staff well enough always going above and beyond for relatives and residents.
My mother transferred to Hutton Park from the hospital after the initial assessment was completed. The home was the 1st on our preferred list of suitable options. The staff and management have been extremely helpful with settling my mother into the 24/7 care environment and supporting requests submitted where possible. My mother is enjoying her stay and looking forward to getting more frequent visits and hopefully some outings soon.
The care staff are amazing and go above and beyond to look after the residents. My mother-in-law always looks happy when we see her and staff keep us informed of how she is doing. My husband and I are so happy that his mum and my mother-in-law has settled into Hutton Park care home.
The home is in a wonderful location, so Mum has fantastic views looking out. There is plenty to watch from her window, but it appears she does not have much time to sit and watch, as the wonderful staff have a full schedule of afternoon tea, Spanish lessons, baking, mocktail evenings and bowling. All these events carry on despite additional pressure on the staff during COVID restrictions. The staff have made a tremendous effort to make Mum welcome, settle in, and it is much appreciated.
