View Full Details of Templeton HouseMy mother was admitted to Templeton House for emergency respite. The process took only a few days to organise prior to being admitted. She had a lovely co-ordinated room with a view of the garden which she commented on. Her room also had her name on the door, a welcome card and box of chocolates, which was a lovely touch. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Sadly Mum passed away overnight that night. I cannot praise the staff and management enough for the respect and dignity shown to Mum and to myself. I would have no hesitation in recommending both the home environment and staff to anyone looking to rehome a loved one either permanently or for respite.
You instantly get a homely feeling when you enter the building. The care, compassion, and friendliness shown to my friend never changed during that time. Every single member of the team contributed to looking after her every need. As a visitor, I was always made more than welcome. Many thanks to the wonderful team of Templeton House.
My mum moved into the home in November 2024 and was quite apprehensive about the change. I could not be happier with the support my mum received from the day she arrived. Friendly, helpful staff who went out their way to make her feel welcome. I have noticed a vast improvement in my mum's health and well being, which makes our own family reassured. There are activities on a daily basis and my mum looks forward to attending the home hair salon on a regular basis. Staff have also arranged a special wheelchair for my mum so she will be able the beautiful gardens when the weather gets better.
My aunt moved into Templeton House Care Home in the middle of December, prior to this she had been in hospital for approximately 10 weeks where she had become institutionalised. Since moving in she is back to her old self, she has regained her independence, confidence and sparkle. The home and staff are amazing, they are very patient, pleasant, helpful, respectful and understanding. They provide various activities throughout the day, which make such a difference to my aunt's life, it is very sociable and helps her to meet and spend a lot of time with other people.
The care my mother receives at Templeton House is outstanding. Cannot fault a single thing. She has settled so well and joins in all activities. The staff (all of them) are fantastic. What a weight off the family's mind to know how well she is looked after.
My dad has been a resident at Templeton House for over a year. The care he has received has been brilliant. I am continually impressed with all the staff caring for Dad. They seem genuinely fond of him, even when his behaviour can be a challenge. Dad has had a few health issues lately and his team have updated us regularly and taken every step to ensure his wellbeing. The home itself is very welcoming and the garden is lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Templeton House to anyone considering options for their relatives. It was a difficult decision handing over his care to others but I know he is receiving the best care available.
My Mum has been a resident of Templeton House for some time now and is very content there. I know she feels safe and I am so grateful to know that the staff will contact me straightaway if they have any concerns. The staff are all excellent and truly care about the residents, they are always finding innovative ways to make the residents' days interesting and brighter. The residents are always treated with respect and dignity and many of the staff have been there for several years which tells me that they too feel valued by the House management team. I always feel welcomed when I visit, Templeton House is bright and warm and the grounds are truly beautiful throughout the year.
My mum went into the care home in December and has settled in really well. The staff have gone over and above the call of duty to make sure Mum’s experience has been very positive. The facilities are excellent and all the activities are well attended. The many lounges and garden are just beautiful. The residents are always happy too. Hand on heart, I cannot recommend this home enough. I am delighted by the care Mum is receiving.
My wife recently enjoyed a week's respite in Templeton House allowing her family some much-needed respite as well. The care she received was exemplary. Not only was her care attended to but the friendliness and professionalism of the staff made her stay all the more enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxed and she felt included in activities and with other residents. The facilities are great and she took advantage of getting her hair done in the on-premise hair salon. There's plenty of choice at meal times and the food is plentiful and well cooked. This is the second time we've used Templeton House for respite and she's already looking forward to another visit soon. Thanks from all the family.
After a lengthy stay in hospital where my mum began to significantly deteriorate we made the difficult decision to move her into a care home. After visiting a few homes we decided Templeton House would match her care needs and support her to make this life change. Her first weeks of adjusting to a new life were difficult for her and she was not the easiest resident, but the staff at Templeton House have been fantastic. I never fully appreciated what being a carer meant until witnessing what all the staff at Templeton House do. Nothing is too much trouble and they are so proactive in anticipating Mum and our needs. They have a difficult job, but do it with an outstanding attitude of love and care for the residents. They are all true professionals and I can't thank them enough for what they are doing for my Mum. The facilities and environment are superb and now Mum has acclimatised she is also enjoying the daily activities. The most important aspect though are the staff and they are amazing.
Care by staff very good, however the administration relating to payment is seriously flawed. Promises of on site hairdressing facilities were never fulfilled. They found it very hard to get staff apparently. One of the features when selecting the care home was that of on site facilities like hairdressers etc, sadly it was rarely available and had to take my mother out to an external appointment. Always an excuse why this service was not available! Also still awaiting a refund of initial deposits nearly two months after my mother's death after a bad fall at Templeton on this account, radio silence from both the home and accounts, who cite internal procedures.
My dad went into Templeton House for respite after a spell in hospital. The care that dad received was excellent. Thank you so much to the Manager for arranging dad to come in and stay with you at very short notice and to all members of the Team at Templeton House I’d like to say how much I appreciate all the care and expertise that dad was given.
My sister and I were very nervous about my mum moving to a care home. Especially with her dementia there was a high chance of regression when moving home. After only a few days Mum was completely settled in. This really is down to the staff who are all so genuinely warm and welcoming. Mum now calls the staff her "friends," she refers to Templeton as her "home". The facilities are excellent with inviting communal areas, a gorgeous garden for sunnier days and spacious rooms full of natural light. Mum is busy every day with fun activities that keep her smiling and engaged. The photo updates from Templeton are really useful, as Mum can't always remember what she has been doing. It is wonderful to know that Mum is in such good hands at Templeton. Fully recommend Templeton to anyone in the local area!
Mum entered Templeton House a few months ago but wasn't too happy about leaving her home. To begin with she kept asking when she was going home and when we left her after visits, we felt very sad and guilty. Now, I can't believe the difference in her. She has settled very well, she's happy, content and very comfortable. We only viewed Templeton House, we had other appointments made to view other homes before we made a decision. But after visiting Templeton House, we cancelled the other appointments as we were very impressed with Templeton House. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and you can see straight away that they all love their jobs. They are all very caring and do their utmost to ensure the residents have everything they need. They are very well cared for. We are very happy with the care and attention Mum gets. Well done to all the staff. Thank you for making our visits quality time spent with Mum.
If you need a care home for a long or short stay go to Templeton House. If you want a well-maintained home go to Templeton House. If you want a cinema, a library, beautiful gardens and many leisure activities go to Templeton House. If you want endless cups of tea and excellent home baking go to Templeton House! But most of all, if you want kind, compassionate, hardworking staff day and night go to Templeton House.
My beautiful mum was only in Templeton House Care Home for a short while, in that time, I couldn’t ask for anything more from the amazing staff. When I say they care, I mean every word, not just the residents but families too. The staff made my mum’s last few weeks as comfortable as any family could ask. If anyone is reading this review considering Templeton House for a loved one, I can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you!
Mum has been a resident of Templeton House since August 2021. I have nothing but praise for the staff. The patience and compassion demonstrated in challenging situations ensure every time I leave, I am confident Mum is in safe hands. The food is nutritious and varied. Entertainment every day and birthdays are celebrated enthusiastically. When a family has to make the hard decision to place a loved one in a caring environment, having Templeton House as an option is peace of mind all day, every day.
My lovely mum spent a year in interim care at Templeton House Care Home which turned to end-of-life care in the last few days. The staff had to work extremely hard to care for everyone in a safe and secure way through Covid months. I think they coped well under the circumstances. It was just lovely to see how things bloomed once everything opened up, activities started up, concerts were arranged and entertainers came in. The home really treated everyone with dignity and individuality no matter what difficulties each resident was facing. The staff and management are wonderful, not just the nursing staff and carers but the receptionists and the hair and beauty salon staff. Everyone treats the residents with care, independence, and dignity. They are also very welcoming to relatives who are often going through difficult times themselves worrying about their loved ones. I will miss seeing all the staff, they lifted me up many times when I was feeling anxious. Mum and I thank you and I miss you all.
I would like to thank the management and team for such a lovely welcome into the home. The home is immaculate and the care is outstanding. The amount of activities they do for the residents is amazing and the pictures on Facebook are lovely for friends and family to see. First class all around.
I would like to thank all of the management and staff for their continued support while caring for my wife at Templeton House Care Home. The service is first class and the level of care is outstanding. My wife has MS and due to this, her needs are now more complex which the care team at Templeton House have adapted to very quickly. Today, my wife is receiving a new wheelchair that she requires to support her and to allow us, as a family, to take her out for walks. The team arranged this and kept me informed at all times. All I can say is to all the management and staff is to keep up the great work that you are doing as it is showing tremendous results.
