View Full Details of Luncarty Care HomeMy mum moved in a couple of weeks ago and is settling in fine. It's a really friendly peaceful atmosphere and the staff are pampering her, doing her nails and making sure she's happy. The place looks great as does the grounds. I'm trying to think of something negative to say about the place but I can't so well done.
Very tidy, well-run establishment. Clean and staff are very friendly.
Mum feels safe in the home. Staff very friendly and caring. The only downside is not all rooms have private toilet facilities.
This home needs a deep clean and redecoration. I often had to clear away dirty plates and empty the bin. There are some lovely carers who were kind to my mum, but there are problems with management in this home. My mum's buzzer often did not work as this was a lifeline to her, this was reported several times to management and to community nurses. This home should not be offering palliative care as there is not a registered nurse on-site to give pain relief. My mum had to wait for community nurses to give pain relief. Therefore I cannot recommend this home as I feel that it's not a safe environment.
My aunt arrived in June/July 2022 aged almost 100. Thanks to the wonderful staff, she had the most wonderful year until she passed away in August. The staff are a credit to the profession; everyone could not do enough and were so good at keeping us informed. They were so kind and caring. So grateful for all the kindness. Would highly recommend.
Please do not put your loved ones in this care home. My relation was in this home for many years, but recently the management changed and the care has lacked in many ways. There are few good carers in this home but many sit about on their phones with not a thought for the residents. Many things happened in this care home that I couldn’t even bring myself to list ie: physically and mentally, under investigation) Please do not recommend or use this care home for your loved ones. You seriously will regret it.
My mum went into Luncarty Care Home on a temporary basis until a care home closer to me became available. However, I soon noticed how happy when was there and how relaxed she was with the staff who seemed to genuinely care about her and the other residents. So with this in mind, I decided to make it a permanent residency at Luncarty House and I have no regrets. They have activities for the residents which my mum really enjoys and with it being a smaller care home, staff have gotten to know my mum well. Couldn't fault it.
Balhousie Luncarty Care Home is one of the best I have come across for the caring and compassionate staff. They are friendly and welcoming to both residents and family.
The care and attention given to my mum was excellent by all staff. She was very comfortable and well cared for at Luncarty Care Home. Her room was warm clean and comfortable. As a family, we were always kept well informed of any health issues by staff. We are very grateful to the manager and all the staff they do a truly wonderful job.
Kept well informed of all concerns. Dad is well looked after and is happy in his surroundings. His room is comfortable and well-heated.
No complaints whatsoever. Very good all around.
My father is extremely happy and well cared for at Balhousie Luncarty Care Home. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. The staff go above and beyond with the care given.
My mum was a resident in the care home for 11 months. The staff were kind, patient and very caring towards her, making sure all her needs were met. They were approachable and answered any questions we had. As a visitor, I was always made to feel welcome by the staff who took the time out to ask how I was as well as my mum. Near the end of my mum's life, the staff could not be more helpful and caring to all the family, and we will be eternally grateful.
I find the staff very approachable. My mum is always presented well. Appears to enjoy the food and has put on weight. Has a lovely room, which is well kept, always very clean and tidy. The family are more relaxed that she is safe and well looked after.
The home is a great environment with staff who care about their residents. Upgrades to the home continue to be completed which is important for the morale of the staff and residents. Although the building is old it doesn't look or feel rundown. Covid rules for all visitors are always followed. It should be a point of pride that the home went 2 years covid free. Transparency and openness between the home and the next of kin are critical. I always get a call if there has been an issue with my dad falling down, no matter how trivial the fall was. This gives me the confidence that I can rely on knowing exactly what is go8ing on. There is always a member of staff to answer any questions I may have. Recruitment, retention and illness cover seem to be problematic. However, it is a common theme across the industry. The staff are definitely committed to their roles with some staff doing back to back shifts. Overall, I am so impressed by the standards of the home staff. If someone could reserve me a room for circa 2040s that would be great.
My mother is being well cared for. The staff are always friendly to visitors and are very kind to my mother. We as a family are happy to leave our mother in their care.
Mum settled in from day one, she praises the staff and loves the attention she gets from them. The food is delicious and the sandwiches gorgeous (her words). She says it's a pity a lot of them want to sleep a lot but that's her only negative. Overall her family are put at ease knowing she is being well cared for.
A very happy home both for residents and staff. The staff carry out their duties assiduously, sensitive and swiftly as appropriate, and with enormously considerate patience. I cannot state too highly the quality of the home and fixtures and fittings, the care and the professionalism of all the staff.
My grandfather was a resident at your Balhousie Luncarty home. There he received the utmost care, love and attention from your wonderful staff. They made a very difficult situation so much easier for us all to bear. Five-star, gold plated, all singing, all dancing, top drawer caring staff!
Following a stay in hospital, my uncle made the move to the home in February. Having lived an independent and reclusive life for many years and sadly recently falling into neglect the transition wasn't going to be easy but the care home staff recognised this and went out of their way to settle him in, nothing was too much trouble. As my uncles next of kin and living over 400 miles away the care manager went out of her way to keep my husband and I informed of his progress. Due to the unusual circumstances, the home pulled out all the stops to authorize and facilitate a visit so that my uncle's possessions could be collected from his cottage ensuring all Covid safety precautions were met. It was very pleasing to see my uncle looking so fit and well and seemed very happy with his new situation telling the staff they were all marvellous and the home wonderful. He compared it to a five-star hotel and now considers it his permanent home, praise indeed!. In all our dealings with the home manager and her dedicated team, they have been exceptional, nothing being too much trouble.
