View Full Details of North Inch & North Grove HouseA good home. The staff are all very good and helpful. No complaints.
My mother-in-law is very happy at Balhousie North Inch. All the staff are wonderful, her carers seem to understand her needs so well and nothing is too much bother. She can pick and choose from a range of great activities that are well-organised and interesting. She has made many friends since she arrived last year and we have been well informed and involved in making decisions about her care. Thank you everyone at North Inch.
I am very happy with the care my sister receives at her care home. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The care assistants work to a high standard and I am always impressed by the care my sister is given. They act professionally and maintain the dignity of the residents is so important.
My mother has settled in well, the staff are all very friendly and professional. Compared to the last care home mum was in. Balhousie North Inch & North Grove House is far better. The care home is well run and any issues are discussed with myself promptly. The food and snacks are vert good and Mum loves the home baking.
Moving Mum from hospital to Balhousie North Inch & North Grove House Care Home was easier than I thought it was going to be. Staff are so caring, compassionate and also so friendly and easy to talk to if any problems should arise. Doing various activities has also helped as Mum loves to cook and bake so loves this part of being included. The manager is also very supportive and knows her job so very well.
Mum settled in well, all staff are excellent with her. The interaction between the staff to my mum is really good. There are always lots of residents about so she's never lonely. The menu has a good variety and carers prompt her when needed. Menu and activities are on a notice board so I can see them well in advance. The activities are brilliant. I have been with Mum taking part and she really enjoys them. Her bedroom is a good size and lovely and clean. There is a window she loves looking out. I'm glad I got a place here for her.
I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I am always kept informed of the care given to my partner. I have seen how kind they are when he has a fall or is upset about something. I have no worries about leaving him in this home.
My mother has only been in for a few weeks but has settled well. The staff have been very good with her and supportive of us as a family.
My mother moved into North Inch House approximately six weeks ago and has settled in well. She is enjoying the company of the other residents, is eating well and putting on weight. The staff at North Inch are always friendly and helpful and deal with any issues promptly. Plenty of activities every day which my mother is encouraged to join in. Because of the layout of the home, she can move around on her own and I know that she is safe at all times.
I cannot praise everyone enough. Their care and attention to my mum have far surpassed what I would have been able to do for her myself. I have cared for my mum for many years now and it was hard to let go but seeing the devotion and dedication of all the staff here has made the transition so much easier for mum, myself and all my family. My mum has a lovely room, with space for her own bits of furniture and lots of home comforts. She was meant to return home once a care package was available but sadly this is unlikely to happen so I'm very happy we initially chose Balhousie North Inch to look after her. Thank you so much, everyone!
Serious concerns about ways things were dealt with and poor communication. The main concerns were management related and safeguarding. Some staff were so committed and caring, but they carried the rest. Concerns I raised were either ignored or brushed under the carpet. I am still waiting for management to contact me and tell me the outcome of a serious issue that happened the day before my Mother left and I was never officially notified about.
Balhousie North Inch House Care Home is well managed and the staff are amazing and very caring and helpful. I appreciate everything they do for my husband. The food is great which is important to residents' health and well-being. Please keep that up. The rooms are relatively small, not the fault of the staff, and some rooms with ensuite showers would be beneficial. The staff work hard on activities but for the more active residents, it feels as if more, especially in the evenings, would be beneficial.
Mum has been and continues to be so lovingly and professionally cared for at Balhousie North Inch House while she awaits a suitable package to allow her home. December is always a difficult month for the family as it was this time 13 years ago we lost Dad. This year has been so therapeutic for us all seeing Mum participating in activities and events in Balhousie North Inch. Thanks to every member of staff who has touched her life (and mine) this year - thank you all - God bless.
Staff are kind, and the care is excellent. My brother can be difficult, but the staff are tolerant without complaint.
My husband can often be unresponsive, so I was delighted to see him on Facebook enjoying himself with the activities coordinator. He was throwing a ball and returning a ping pong ball with a really happy smile or a look of deep concentration. It was great to see him so involved. The staff are all so patient and caring.
I am Power of Attorney for my uncle who had to spend a number of weeks in your care home for respite care while his wife was in the hospital. The staff went out of their way to ensure that he had everything that he asked for and they couldn't have been more helpful. If l had to phone the care home for any reason whatsoever, the staff were all very pleasant and passed on any messages if required. On the other hand, if my uncle required anything at all, the staff at the home phoned me to let me know. Very good service all around.
Review was as expected. Resident is happy and looked after. General decline as expected, but home and staff cope very well.
My mother has now been a resident for about six weeks, in which time I have seen her grow stronger and more confident every week. She is enjoying her stay and is now starting to participate in the many activities that take place on an almost daily basis. I have always found the staff to be helpful and knowledgable in every aspect. I feel confident in leaving my mum in the care of the staff. As a "picky/plain" eater, she is enjoying her meals and is always keen to tell me what's on the menu. I would have no hesitation in recommending North Inch House on the evidence I have encountered so far.
After a horrendous experience in my cousin's previous care home, I knew from the minute I entered Balhousie Noth Grove that she was in the right place for her ongoing care. I find the staff whenever I visit to be so polite, helpful and attentive towards my cousin and I. The care home is exceptionally clean and tidy, and the food served to the residents is second to none. Overall, the staff are a credit to Balhousie.
During the time my mother has been in North Grove, my impression of the staff has been favourable. I feel that she is getting good care - and her condition makes her an awkward person at times. Staff are cheerful and positive. I am kept informed of issues arising. PS visitors toilet is badly ventilated and often smelly.
