View Full Details of Stormont Lodge Care HomeMum has been so much better since she moved here. She is much more alert, she is eating well, and has much more attention. She is always telling me how happy she is here. She knows she is in the right place. It is always a pleasure to visit. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. The reports are comprehensive and reassuring.
My mum moved here in March 2024 and was very poorly when she arrived. She has now gained weight and has her old spark back again. Here at Stormont they not only deal with her physical needs but also her mental health. She is now 97 and says she is looking forward to reaching 100. Our thanks go to all the staff.
Overall we have had a good experience since having contact with Stormont Lodge. All staff are caring and attentive, food is good and plentiful. The home is generally in good decorative order, bright and pleasant to sit in.
As a family, we cannot praise the staff at Stormont highly enough. They treat our mother with so much love and kindness and with the utmost of respect and dignity. Our mum has been in the home since February of this year and settled in very quickly and this was down to no small part of the hard work and dedication of the staff. Only the other week she commented to us that she was so pleased and happy that we had managed to get her a place at the home. Mum loves all the activities, especially the dancing and very much enjoys the social aspects of mixing with the other residents in the lounge. Communication with the senior staff is always first class, they are so welcoming and nothing is any bother.
Overall, a really high standard of individualised care and I feel very fortunate that we chose Stormont Lodge for my mum to live. Staff warm and welcoming when we visit. Share information that's relevant and always open to change or to improve things. Always a positive approach to the challenges that everyday care brings which is really reassuring. Really believe the team are so hardworking and do this with kindness and understanding. Definitely strong leadership too - management team are so helpful.
Majority of staff are wonderful and so kind and thoughtful. The only downside is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of activities. I get monthly updates emailed to me, plus six-monthly assessments, which are helpful for assessing the person.
I arrived today at 12.30 to visit Mum - had not realised that this was lunchtime. However, this gave me the opportunity to see lunch being served. There were two courses, soup and a choice of Sunday Roast or sandwiches. Mum took soup and the Roast Beef, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The catering and care are of a very high standard, and I am very grateful for the way Mum is looked after.
I am very happy with all the care my gran receives. The staff go above and beyond for my gran. Stormont Lodge is an amazing, special care home. I am so thankful to all the staff and managers for everything. I can't put into words how grateful I am. The manager is amazing, and all the staff are. Thank you so much, and my gran's sister is very grateful.
It's always a pleasant time visiting my mother. She looks well and is obviously very well looked after. The staff are very helpful and they all care for her needs. Thank you to everyone who is assisting my very needy mother.
Our mum has been a resident now for six weeks. It was a very big step for her and the family making this decision but we could not be more certain this was the correct way ahead and 100% correct choice of home. Mum is almost 97 years of age and has been living happily in her own family home that she’s been in since 1957. This makes it all the more remarkable that she settled in immediately with no concerns about not being in her own house. This we can only put down to the exceptional care and kindness she has received from all the staff. Mum had been very ill with a chest infection prior to being admitted to the home. The massive improvement in her health and overall wellbeing within only a few days was heartening for all the family, it was simply wonderful to see. Mum loves all the activities and entertainment that is provided, the staff really go above and beyond to see the residents receive plenty of stimulation and enjoyment.
The home is clean and warm. Also, the staff are very committed to good, quality care.
I am more than happy with my mother's care. The staff are all really lovely towards our family and nothing is too much trouble. Mum is happy, clean and eats well. The manager is so helpful and friendly and goes beyond her duties, supporting me when my dog died and taking time out of her busy day when she noticed I was upset. Staff should feel proud as they provide excellent care to both residents and family members.
Respite care for my elderly father. Professional care, kind and caring. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Staff are always welcoming, my aunt is well cared for. She is always well-dressed and clean. My aunt can be a little grumpy but all the staff know how to deal with her.
I was very happy with all that was discussed at the review and pleased with the care being provided from staff at Stormont Lodge.
The difference in my Mum's health and quality of life since moving into Stormont Lodge is amazing. She looks so much healthier, her skin is better and she had put weight on. I love to see her smile and the staff are so kind to her and myself.
My aunt has been a resident of Stormont for 18 months. She is well cared for, enjoys the company of the staff and residents and feels safe, emotionally and physically. The communication from the home is excellent. We can visit or talk to my aunt on the phone at any time. The care staff are genuine and caring and know my aunt well.
Mum is happy and enjoys the activities. Loves the staff, like family now. Had Mum out for lunch and on returning they were so pleased to see her and made her feel special. Mum was so pleased to see them too and tell them about her lunch out. This is fantastic to see. All the staff are great with Mum.
My mother did not want to go into a home but has settled better than expected due to staff attention and care. Some areas I have limited knowledge of care homes, but definitely would recommend.
I am very pleased with the treatment my mother receives. She is well cared for, well fed and the staff are very attentive to her needs. The only problem we have had is the way they did not follow up on an eye appointment she was expecting from hospital.
