View Full Details of Pinewood Residential Care HomeThe staff are all wonderful to me and also they are all happy working together, that makes a difference.
Mum has been at Pinewood for the past two years and in that time she has had such wonderful care from all of the staff. We are extremely grateful for the dedicated staff ensuring Mum is in a safe and comfortable place. There are weekly visits from a hairdresser which all ladies love, hopefully when there are long periods of absence due to holiday these could be covered in the future. Overall we are delighted with the services provided and heartfelt thanks to everyone.
Pinewood is a welcoming and pleasant residential facility with friendly and caring staff and management. The main issue with the facility is that it's dated and tired and could do with a major freshen-up. Whilst centrally located, parking can be a major issue but appears to have improved recently.
Both my parents moved into Pinewood 8 months ago due to ill health. We have been really happy with their care, and with all the attention the staff give.
An excellent environment for my mother. She is well looked after in a caring and safe home. The staff are extremely friendly and kind.
My father is a resident as he was too much for me at home. The carers and all the staff are magnificent and so genuinely caring. Dad is very happy and I think this has been really good for him and he's met lots of new friends.
I have been delighted with everything at Pinewood. The food is absolutely brilliant. as good as a five-star restaurant. The staff are all so caring and nice. Lovely bedroom, bathroom, lounge and dining room, all bright and airy. I would not hesitate coming back to have full-time care if I had to. I'm so grateful for this experience.
The parents moved here in January 2023 and they were made to feel very welcome and secure quickly. They are very well looked after laundry and food etc. However, Mum's hygiene could be better but unfortunately, the staff can't force her to shower. The staff are all so nice, helpful and friendly.
My mother-in-law had nothing but praise for everyone at Pinewood. She said the staff couldn't have been more helpful. When we first went to visit Pinewood, we sat down with the manager who immediately put my mother-in-law at ease. Showed her around etc, and she felt very comfortable knowing where she was going and which room and my husband and I were happy leaving her there knowing she was in such good hands. 10/10.
I feel that mum is being very well cared for she is happy the staff are so good with her it makes me feel relaxed and comforted that she is safe in their hands. I have recommended Pinewood to my friends.
Whilst the home is caring and warm, it lacks a number of facilities that are required for the residents such as a wet room. The shower rooms are pathetic and require refurbishment. There are several cracked and broken tiles. Some rooms would benefit from an en-suite shower. The food, when delivered to the rooms, is often cold as there is no heated trolley to deliver it. Many of the residents accept this without complaint. Some of the food is very badly cooked. The soup is good, as is the fish. Chips have improved but some of the desserts leave a lot to be desired, especially the pancakes. New carpets are desperately required. They are stained and out of date. The decor in communal areas looks very tired. The home is short-staffed with cleaners and carers covering for waitresses. The call bells sometimes don’t work and it can take as long as 20 minutes to be answered.
Both my husband and myself are very happy to be here. We find management and staff extremely helpful at all times.
Our mother was with Pinewood Residential Care Home for two weeks care while family members off-island. She was very happy with her room and found all the staff nice, popping in to see all ok or if she needed anything. It was spotlessly clean. Her compliments to the chef, food was always hot and very nice. She always felt safe and happy.
Very pleased, staff are lovely and very helpful. Food is good, lots of choices and nicely presented. Very clean rooms and there was nice and relaxed entertainment for everyone. Very pleased to come back again.
An amazing experience for us both. My husband came here for respite whilst I was having a knee replacement, and then I joined him for a few weeks at Pinewood. A wonderful example of 'care for the elderly'. Delightful management, and all staff of the highest calibre, friendly, helpful and the kindest team of all. The overall standard of this establishment is of the highest and we thank them all for a great experience.
I'm so glad I chose Pinewood to aid my recovery post-op. From entering the building you are made to feel extremely welcome. All the staff are a great testament to how you should be treated with the utmost care and compassion. Nothing is ever too much. The facilities are a wonderful statement of making your stay feel like a home from home. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend.
I have been in Pinewood for over three years and I have never had one complaint to make. I love my room. The glass door opens onto the lawn, there are shrubs and pine trees. There is a lovely view over the countryside. Everyone from the matron to the staff and cleaners are excellent. I can't say more.
I had hip replacement surgery and the day before discharge my husband tested positive for covid. He was able to book me a room at Pinewood Residental Home, Jersey for respite care. I have been most impressed with the level of care from all the staff and every meal has been delicious. I have been able to recover in the best possible way.
The process of sending my parents-in-law to Pinewood was made very easy by the very helpful and friendly staff. They first came for a look around and had lunch, then later when they come out of hospital their transport to Pinewood was all arranged. All the queries we have are answered, the items they require are provided with efficiency and they are enjoying the food and the environment. My father-in-law has signs of dementia and he is looked after well when he gets confused.
I stayed at Pinewood for a period of two weeks while my wife had a delayed holiday in Cornwall. The management and staff were first rate and provided help and care in very practical ways when required. Activities were well organised. I would thoroughly recommend the home.
