View Full Details of Ashmead Care CentreThis is the second time my husband has been to Ashmead. He remembered the room from his last visit, also the staff who made him very welcome as they did me. I find the home very clean, the staff are always smiling, cheerful, which is lovely to see. I'm very grateful for the care, and the way they look after my husband.
Since my wife has been in Ashmead I have no reason to complain, as everything is of good standard and all staff are always friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately from May last year, I have had to have my husband placed in Ashmead Care Centre. As a retired nurse myself I found this very difficult as I was also a dementia nurse and believed I was more than capable of his care which proved not to be the case. After 5 years of caring for him at home, it soon became obvious that the time had come to have him put into a care home, finally, I settled on Ashmead Putney I could never have believed these people who run this home could have been such amazing people. They show empathy for both residents and families, the home is beautifully clean, I have always felt welcomed, I could not have ever asked for more my husband is well cared for their meals are amazing in beautiful dining rooms. The staff are gentle and caring. I'm kept informed of all his care and any issues, they go out of their way to make it feel like home management acts on any issue immediately thank you so much you are amazing.
I would like to thank you for the loving care everyone at Ashmead showed my husband and us his family. There was always an open-door policy and we could come and go as our timetables allowed us. Grandchildren visited with great delight and Gracie our dog was also welcome. This was all a special bonus for my husband. The staff were always friendly and committed and showed a deep empathy. Considering the challenges of their profession it is truly impressive. Thank you for looking after my husband during a difficult part of his life. Best wishes.
We cannot express enough how kind and caring all the members of staff at Ashmead were, with special thanks to a couple of members of staff. I would highly recommend Ashmead Care Centre to anyone who is looking for care.
My Great Great Aunt recently celebrated her 100th birthday. The staff at the nursing home went above and beyond for her. Decorating her room with lights, balloons and an incredible cake. We really appreciated it.
Overall experience is good. The staff are caring, friendly and responsive. It feels safe and warm for the residents. However, the rooms and common areas need to be updated, furniture wise and freshened up/decorated. There should be more attention to the healthier food, more vegetable variation. Management is friendly and approachable.
Just a few words: It's difficult to find a home that cares like this and everything has been excellent, food, service, they care for me 24 hours. Thank you.
I find the home very good clean and the staff are nice I think my wife is looked after very well and can't find anything bad about the home.
Mum was at the home for 6 weeks of respite care, I was apprehensive when I first left her. The place was very clean and the atmosphere calm but still I wondered about how the care would be, but I need not have worried. They took care of Mum kindly, could see she was clean and well taken care of.
My grandmother stayed here temporarily whilst her home carer was away. She was well looked after and her personal care was immaculate. Staff seemed friendly. Thank you for looking after her.
My husband was transferred from hospital to Ashmead Care Centre for ongoing care following an allergic reaction to a prescribed drug. The care received at Ashmead has been wonderful, the nurses, carers and all other staff are so friendly and very helpful. All staff have contributed to my husband's recovery and I am pleased to say he is now well enough to come home.
My dad passed away yesterday after being in the care home for just over a year. Throughout he had the best care and compassion shown by all members of staff. My mum has been a resident for over five years and she also receives great care.
Ashmead provides outstanding dementia care with nursing. The staff, regardless of their role within the home, went out of their way to show friendship, kindness and compassion to my dad - even the cleaning staff knew his name and greeted him. On my parent's 6th wedding anniversary, the staff made up a training room with banners and balloons and served a family meal to us all. I will never forget the kindness shown to us. Thank you all.
My father was admitted to this place in May 2023 for end of life care. We were met on May 5th by staff including the manager, who said 'we can turn people away for arriving at the wrong time' in full hearing of our terminally ill father who was lying on a stretcher in the entrance to the home. What kind of person would say such a thing? Even the ambulance crew were disgusted. In the 7 weeks our father was there we had minimal contact with the manager. A wholly unsuitable and unfeeling person to be in such a position! Her Deputy was so much more humane and understanding. She is management material, not the manager! Best member of staff was a nurse! On the day my father passed the manager didn't once come to us as a family, despite us sitting with our father from 8am until 4pm, to offer sympathy or condolences. Eight hours! What kind of person does that? Utterly disgusted!
Very happy. Two members of staff - great people. Ashead Care Centre is marvellous and splendid.
The service staff are all very commendable and especially two particular nurses. As for general staff, nurses and carers, nurses are mostly caring and friendly - unfortunately, a small few sulky agency are rude or bad understanding of English. Male staff all good. Housekeepers and cleaners are all top-notch. Front-of-house staff polite and polished. One lady is nice, in pink, excellent and very kind. Would recommend My main grip was good, very samey - much better in the hospital.
Since my mum, was admitted to Ashmead, I try to visit as much as I can. When I visit, I find my mum well looked after, she is always fresh and clean and well dressed. The staff are all lovely, caring and professional. One of the nurses is always prioritising my needs as well as my mum's. The rooms are massive.
My mother has been here for about five weeks. Ashmead lives up to the good reviews I had read previously, it seems to have improved the activities to more choice and daily. This is very important for my mother and the others here. good stimulation improves everyone's well-being. One staff member, in particular, is lovely and kind, everyone appreciates her. She did a lovely job with my mum's manicure. Four other staff members are all very caring and attentive, it is good to be able to communicate Mum's needs to professional caring staff.
Never having been in a care setting before, this has been an interesting experience. The matron and staff have all been extremely caring, kind and considerate, I appreciate all the help and support they have given me.
