View Full Details of Brymore House Care HomeA wonderful home. My mum had dementia and moved into Brymore House Care Home in January. During her stay there, she seemed more alert and constantly told us that everyone there was so nice to her and the food was delicious. When we visited, she was always clean and wearing fresh clothes. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. There was often entertainment for the residents and a lovely garden for them to enjoy in the summer. Mum interacted with the other residents and enjoyed the entertainment provided, especially the singing and she even got up to dance. A big thank you to the activities coordinator who organised all the entertainment and even painted my mum's nails for her. I couldn't recommend this place any higher if you are looking for a care home for your loved one. Thank you so much for being so supportive and putting my mum's needs first. Mum sadly passed away in August and staff from Brymore House attended the funeral which was wonderful. A big thank you to everyone for everything you did for my mum.
Although my mum was only a resident for six months, I cannot speak highly enough of Brymore House Care Home. Mum was almost in the final stages of dementia when she went into the home but the care she received whilst there and in her final weeks was excellent, everyone was so helpful and supportive, especially the activities coordinator who was always there with a hug and fantastic smile and Mum's carers, especially two carers in particular. I know Mum ended her days comfortably and I cannot recommend Brymore enough.
My mother was a resident at Brymore House Care Home from January 2022 to July 2024 when she sadly passed away. During that time, the care that she received was excellent, the staff were attentive, caring and showed her love and affection as though she was a family member. She was always treated with compassion and dignity. I'm certain her life was extended as a result of the care provided. The support and consideration also extended to me, as I was always able to make contact with a team member with any queries. A big thank you for everything you have done for my mum.
My husband has been receiving excellent care at Brymore House Care Home for four years. I am so pleased to say he is happy, content and settled in his home from home. The dedicated nurses and carers treat him with respect sensitivity, good humour and understanding. They really know him. They keep a sharp eye, monitor closely and act on any changes in his condition swiftly, expertly and compassionately. Indeed, the level of care is exceptional. In addition, there is a befriender for all residents, a wealth of events and activities organised by the activities coordinator and the catering staff who work tirelessly to ensure residents receive maximum nourishment each day. The premises are spotless and the cleaning staff take pride in this essential work. The nurse manager and deputy manager keep a watchful eye on all proceedings. They ensure all staff have the latest health training, that standards are upheld across all aspects and hold regular meetings for relatives. I always try hard to attend these as we are fully informed of all updates on Brymore House Care Home systems and we have a chance to ask questions. I commend all staff for their excellent work and trust them completely with my husband's care.
This was not a great experience for our mum or the family. Her care was far less than satisfactory. Most of the staff are lovely but they do not have the time or resources to provide nursing care. Residents were observed spending a large amount of the day in wheelchairs rather than being encouraged to mobilise or indeed being transferred to more comfortable seating which was available. There was little interaction in the dark day room. The home looks worn and in need of updating. Mum was often left in wet clothing for hours unless we requested directly that she was changed. Medication which was ordered by the outreach nurse from the hospice was not provided and when pain relief was requested by me, I was told there wasn't any for her. In three weeks, she was not showered nor was her hair washed. This is not acceptable and even though it was requested - she did not see the hairdresser. I would not recommend Brymore if your loved one needs care.
My sister was a resident at their home and I gather she passed away last night. But, I have to say that in all the hospitals she had been in for nursing care, that I am glad she was in your care as I visited her lunchtime and she was comfortable, she seemed to be breathing ok and I managed to speak to her, she stated she had seen the priest and I knew that would calm her. I also noticed a member of staff tried to feed her, definitely more than any of the nurses ever did at the hospital she had stayed at treating her COPD and Lung Cancer. Plus the food definitely was nice and edible. I had worked in a home as a carer and assisted several senior members of my family, as well as worked in the NHS (similar to Cardiac Physiologist) and I would definitely recommend your home to anyone who needed care.
I would like to commend the outstanding care and support given to my mother-in-law, who has recently passed away, having been a resident at Brymore House for almost eight years. She was always treated with compassion and dignity. I'm certain her life was extended by several years under the care of the amazing nursing and care teams, ably assisted by the outstanding activity coordinator and administrative team. The support and consideration also extended to me, as I was always able to make contact with a team member with any queries.
My mother was a resident at Brymore House Care Home for four and a half years. The administrators were always willing to listen to any concerns I had and responded quickly to improve issues so that my mother was more comfortable and stress free. The kitchen staff accommodated my mother’s ever-changing food requirements throughout her residency. The care staff were always patient and kind and I am grateful for their constant attention and for the friendly relationships they formed with Mum. The entertainment manager worked hard to ensure that all the residents, including Mum, were able to access a varied social life. The nursing staff regularly talked to me updating me on the changes to Mum’s care plan. They were vigilant and always had Mum’s best interests at heart. I have no hesitancy in recommending Brymore Care Home to others.
The staff cared for my mother with professionalism and great care. They were genuinely fond of her and showed her affection. Thank you to everyone involved in her care. What a great team you have at Brymore.
This was a great time for my dad to build on his strength, and Brymore House Care Home helped and supported him, so he able to go home. The staff was lovely and welcoming and encouraging to Dad. He was fed well and had personal needs with help with washing and dressing, always there to help him, just want to say a big thank you and well done.
I could not say anymore, but excellent from me coming in on a stretcher. All the staff were so kind and made me welcome. Brymore House should all be pleased with themselves; they are all a treasure, and they are all nice. Love you all.
My dad was in Brymore House Care Home from 17/02/23 to 17/03/23, during his stay at the home he was cared for very well. He loved the food, he had a lovely room to stay in and it was very clean. The staff are very caring and helpful, great place.
My family and I have great ease and appreciation, knowing my grandfather is amazingly taken care of by staff and management. The care home has an outstanding dynamic, and everything seems well-operated. Staff are always friendly and willing to help; they also ensure a guaranteed safe environment for residents. I have always found staff and management have genuine care for my grandad and maintain healthy/supportive relations with residents. The care home is always found presentable with amazing hygiene.
My mother was in Brymore House Care Home for approx three years. The care was brilliant and she settled in very well, not easy as she had dementia and was not always easy to deal with. We as a family could not fault the care towards the end of her life and would recommend the home to anyone looking for a place for a relative. A big big thank you for everything you have done for my mum.
A big, big thank you to all the staff at Brymore! My mother recently spent four weeks there and the staff were fantastic. The day and night staff work so hard and made my mum feel so comfortable during her stay. I was very apprehensive about her staying there at the beginning but the business administrator, put my mind at rest from the start. They catered for all her needs, put on loads of activities and encouraged my mother to interact with all the residents. The rehab team were amazing and my mum has improved greatly and is getting back to the way she was. A special thank you to one of the nurses, who was incredible. I cannot thank Brymore enough for everything they have done for my mum and would fully recommend them.
Mum's care has been second to none. She has been very comfortable and well cared for. The home and the staff have done extremely well in coping over the covid period as they were very pro-active frin the very start. The staff always kept me informed on mum's condition.
On visiting Brymore Hosue for the very first time, I was amazed at the cleanliness, the layout and the home, and the kindness of management and staff. I had no hesitation after being shown around that my mother would be really happy here. Nothing was too much trouble. The care was brilliant, the activities are a joy to my mother. Nothing was too much trouble, even down to the chef who catered for my mother's requirements. She was truly happy during her time at Brymore Hosue and that is all one can wish for, although mum has sadly passed away now, it is also a comfort to stay in touch with Brymore.
Pleased with the treatment for exercising leg muscles, improving slowly just need more confidence. Managing with a walking frame at present.
I have been well looked after and given support and encouragement with the exercises, which has helped me to make progress. The staff are friendly and easy to chat with and I've looked forward to seeing them each day.
My aunt was transferred into Brymore House residential care for rehabilitation following a long stint in hospital. The staff and entire team were so welcoming. Upon admission, her physio contacted me to explain the level of care that she would be receiving. The conversation was so thorough. I was so happy that this professional took the time to explain to me how Brymore works and how the team can support my aunt on the day that my aunt was admitted. The level of care and support in Brymore is high. Throughout the weeks that my aunt has been a resident at Brymore, I am given regular up to date information on how she is progressing. When talking to my aunt she warmly mentions the care and support that she receives from her physio team and the staff. I booked a visit to see my aunt in Brymore (as I hadn’t since she was discharged from hospital). My aunt looked incredible. She was alert and her mobility had improved significantly. There was such a positive difference.
