View Full Details of Forrester CourtMy mother was transferred from hospital to Forrester Court following a severe stroke, which left her immobile ,with Apraxia and sadly, with a range of hospital acquired infections and a hospital acquired Category 3 bedsore. The admission to Forrester Court was 'seamless' and the whole team made my mother and me feel welcome, safe and comfortable. Although she was only there for a short time, during her stay my mother was cared for by a wonderful group of people, the carers, nurses, the palliative care team, housekeeping and catering staff, as well as everyone in 'admin' and she was treated with dignity and respect, and I can truly say, with love. Furthermore, all the staff at Forrester Court extended their compassion and care to me at a difficult time. I could see this compassion extended to all the residents and their relatives. As much as I shall miss my mother, I have to say, I shall also miss everyone at Forrester Court too.
I am happy with the way that my husband has been treated. If I need any help I know who I go to. Because I am here almost every day I know all the staff and they know me.
Everyone from the management team right down to the unit that my aunty is in, is absolutely superb in every way. The care that my aunty receives is absolutely brilliant in every way. I always get updates as to how my aunty is via phone call or by message. When we visit my aunty, we find the whole staff and nursing team that look after my aunty, professional, curteous, kind, flexible, warm, compassionate and understanding in every way. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they talk to you on first name terms which makes you feel like part of the care home. All the staff are hard working, dedicated and very kind and caring. The care home manager leads a very caring, hard working and compassionate team and when we leave after visiting my aunty, we feel a sense of peace of mind that she is so well looked after.
I was taken aback when the nurse took me into my partner's room as he just said to her "Who is that?" He didn't recognise me at all. Seeing my reaction to being ignored, the nurse explained that his reaction would change as I visited more often and he would recognise who was - I had been his partner since 1968. I visited him as often as I could and saw how he was taken care of by the staff there. And he began to enjoy the meals provided each day. He had his own room with a TV set and photos of his on-stage work and his Gown Shop in Knightsbridge.
Everyone from management to staff on the unit my uncle is on are absolutely brilliant. I get a phone call if he has a fall or is unwell. The care my uncle receives is brilliant. They do a lot of activities, they also celebrate every resident's birthday. They make sure they take the time to get to know everyone etc and family members by their first name which I like. The care at the care home is fantastic.
The staff are fantastic including Dad’s carers who I don’t think are directly employed through the care home. They do everything they can for my dad and are always available to discuss anything with me. Thank you.
The weekend staff were very helpful and friendly. Show care towards the patient. The Ambulance crew was treated with courtesy and respect. Happy to visit. Friendly staff and great value for money.
The staff are very good and welcoming to me. The carers are good to the residents. Very professional and helpful at all times. I am feeling supported by staff on the floor and management team. Thank you for your support.
Such amazing care and support provided by everyone at Forrester Court. Special mention to the carers who treat the patient, my friend and former neighbour like she is a cherished family member.
I visit my mother and the carers, nurses and other staff are friendly and willing to answer questions. They are caring towards my mother.
On the times I have visited my mother, I have found she has been well cared for. The staff have been helpful and kept me informed on her medical information and any health issues. I am happy in the knowledge that she is well cared for.
Staff were incredibly helpful in organising a birthday party and making it a great success - they baked an excellent cake and entered into the whole occasion with great good humour. The garden was lovely and it really lifted my husband’s mood.
My husband is very disabled and needed help very much. On help, my husband is clean and tidy, if possible, always if they can. Thank you.
One staff member has been my father's carer on Richmond Unit for over six months now and has developed a strong bond with him. She has shown dedication and professionalism towards him and this gives me peace of mind when I have to leave the unit. We correspond by text and video call, as and when.
It has been a pleasure to bring my late wife to Forrester Court and she was very happy here. The care and attention she got from all the staff and nurses was tremendous I can't thank everyone enough and I will look forward to coming to see everyone often. Thank you all very much from the bottom of my heart.
a. Thank you for letting the carers assist me in walking as walking is the best exercise which is part of my rehabilitation program. Please give them more shifts and working hours to them. b. You need more staff for the care and support to achieve satisfactory and good care for your residents. We have to wait for a long time for help or care because of the lack of staff in each unit. We need two members of staff for each resident. I will be happier if the manager would listen.
I usually go to the Forrester Court Care Home twice a week. I've always found the staff and care persons very helpful, always willing to help my brother when he has needed help. He seems quite happy there since he's been there which is about seven months.
I found that most of the staff on day shift are hard-working and dedicated at Victoria Unit. I'd like to see more musical/singing entertainment provided to the residents, especially my husband who dislikes sitting-down games. The former entertainment team led by the co-ordinator were excellent. Shame that she has gone. Your reception staff are very good.
The experience at Forrester Court was very good. Friendly and helpful, very clean rooms and large en-suite facilities. Overall, a pleasant visit and I would recommend highly.
A very clean and comfortable home and the staff are all very respectful and friendly towards my mother and us. Plus she is treated with care and dignity.
