View Full Details of Manley Court Care HomeIt has been a year since my brother-in-law had to move into Manley Court, when he first moved arrived at the care home, he was in a bit of a sorry state, a good few health issues, bed-ridden and confused. One year he is a different person, he looks so much better, healthier, is now able spend time sitting in a lovely padded adjustable chair, more importantly he is happy, settled and in a safe environment. I would like to give a big thank your too a particular member of staff and her Team for the patience they have shown him, the great care they have provide, without their help, support understanding he would definitely not look like he does now, today was a prime example, before we arrived her and team who take care of his needs on a day to day basis , had decorated his room with happy birthday banners, presented him with a cake and sang happy birthday, the daily task they have to undertake is not easy and yet they took the time to put a smile on his face well done Manley Court.
I am especially pleased with the attention my cousin was given and surprised at the presence and care taken with the activities the residents were invited to join. My cousin only came here on the 3rd of December 2024 from a care home she has been in for many years. (She has been in care all her life). She settled so well and quickly. The staff are also careful and the activities are a real surprise. She is really happy to join with the other residents and the caring staff. The food is excellent and a great improvement on what she has been used to. The activities ladies must be complemented on their imagination and ideas.
My Dad stayed here for a period of respite (2 weeks) funded by the local authority. This home appeared to be struggling with staff shortages meaning my dad was left alone a lot of the time. During his stay, he was not supported to wash regularly meaning when he returned home he smelled unclean and looked unkempt. The wing Dad was placed in was difficult for him to cope with due to some other residents being very distressed due to their advanced conditions i.e. dementia, which made him frightened and struggled to be left. My Mum struggled to receive contact from the home to get updates on how Dad was doing. He had better respite elsewhere and would not send him back here for respite or care.
On my visiting days I normally arrive early to help assist with Mum as it makes me feel more connected with her and she with me although she is non-verbal. The staff are very nice at all times even when extremely busy. I am glad I chose this care home as residence for my mother.
We are surprised and impressed with the accommodation at Manley Court Nursing Home, more importantly at the care my brother-in-law is receiving. The staff are brilliant, they undertake unpleasant tasks but still they continue to smile and are extremely patient. Each time we have visited, he's always well cared for, they even managed to cut his hair and beard, he looked a different person. We mentioned he loved his garden and would spend hours outside, when we went back to visit him, the staff had taken the trouble to move his bed so he could see very clearly into the garden. We came away feeling very reassured he is in safe hands and well cared for.
Our family friend was transferred to Manely Court Care Home last month. Following several visits, I have been very impressed with the friendly, caring staff and the welcoming environment. The rooms are bright and clean and security for the dementia unit is well-controlled. The management have been helpful and with a lovely personal touch, a birthday cake was made for our friend on his birthday. Now much more reassured regarding his care. Thank you.
Nurse in charge and all carers/girls are very good.
Always a friendly and warm welcome! Such lovely staff on the Lavender Unit! Rooms and common areas always clean and tidy. My father is always clean and has a change of clothes. His beard and hair kept tidy. He is usually out of his room in the lounge or at the least sitting in his room out of bed.
Short term respite care for my brother in law straight from hospital. With great care a bespoke package was arranged . His prospective care was assessed and individual needs addressed. The staff showed care and professionalismMarcia was especially outstanding and helped the family tremendously. Even though my brother in law can demanding and particular he was accommodated. He enjoyed the food and his hot chocolate. I was able to visit whenever I wanted and able to see how well the home was. I remain grateful that the home helped us so much. And throughly recommend Manley Court.
My sister moved into Manley Court Care Home on the 28/7/23. I visited that afternoon and she was relaxed and already settled in. Her room is large and airy and clean, staff were extremely helpful, a good atmosphere. I visited again today for her birthday and she really is looking so very well, is much calmer than I've known her in a long time. I'm pleased with everything so far. Thank you.
My Stepfather stayed in the Hibiscus ward giving us two weeks of respite. It was far better than expected. The staff very attentive and welcoming. The facility was clean. He even enjoyed the food. Medical care was also top-notch.
My mom has been at Manley Court for a few years now and we have been very pleased with the treatment which our mom has received. Her health has improved incredibly and every time we visited, it was obvious she is well looked after. Mummy's relationship with the staff and vice versa means she has found a home from home. We are very pleased with the care mom receives at Manley Court.
My mum spent her last two and a half years at Manley Court before passing away in November. Although she had dementia she settled in very well, she adored one carer who always called her mama, which my mum loved. When she was in her last days I was made to feel that nothing was too much trouble.
My mum has been here for five years and the whole team has been great, she has been very well looked after here. My mum was in another home before this one which was terrible, we were so happy to have this fantastic place for our mum. One nurse, in particular, is wonderful.
I love the care that the staff have given to my mum. They are very friendly and helpful to her.
My partner has just returned home after 10 days of excellent care at Manley Court Care Home. Naturally, I was anxious to find the best possible care for him, so when a close friend told me that her mother had spent the last year of her life happily and comfortable there it was the obvious choice, and it couldn't have been a better decision. My partner was treated with kindness and respect at all times. The nurses seemed to go out of their way to please him, going above and beyond their duty, I am really grateful to them.
Manley Court Care Home is a wonderful place to put your family, if you are looking for a home for them. At first, I did not think much about it, but I said to my friend 'lets give it a go', and we did, thank god we did, cause we have never looked back. We now enjoy every bit of it and my partner is very happy at Manley Court. Through my experience in Manley Court and if my partner had stayed where he was before Manley Court, he would have been dead by now, no joke.
The staff are very friendly and look after my mum really well.
I visit the home regularly to take a service of Holy Communion as well as doing 1 to 1 visits in the resident's rooms. All this is facilitated by the staff who oversee residents' activities. The staff not only greatly assist my visits, but also are models of the respectful loving care of the people I meet. Their work is not always easy, but I have never seen them flustered or irritated. I have recommended the home on two occasions to members of the congregation but sadly on both occasions, the home was full. With lockdown, their safety measures have been exemplary.
The interview was quite informative and useful. To know what the plans are for the future was useful and hopefully, as we all move forward, we can start visiting again on a regular basis. The team at the home are always available to help with any issues that arise and are most helpful with everything that is needed.
