View Full Details of Nazareth House - HammersmithIt's now just two days before her friends say a final farewell to a remarkable lady. In her local area, her name was a byword for great conversation and intellectual curiosity. Her last days were spent in the loving care of Nazareth House. There are no words to express the beauty of the compassion she received from the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are peaceful. The entire establishment literally glows with Christian piety and simple humanity. Both are rare and precious. Ignore the view from the street. Enter the gates and discover within an atmosphere of compassion; quiet efficiency and even fun. We should all be blessed to spend our final days and nights in the care of Nazareth House. Perhaps the greatest gift the staff provides to their patients, is calm reassurance. To visitors; it's a genuine welcome and instinctive understanding of the needs of individuals.
Choosing Nazareth House, Hammersmith was the best decision we could have made for our mother's final weeks. The care given to her was of the highest standards across the board. What was very special was the staff's ability to sense when Mum just wanted to have a chat and be reassured, even when they had other pressures. Thank you all.
Thank you for looking after my father while I had a break. My father was very happy at Nazareth House - Hammersmith. What a friendly, supportive group of staff you have. He liked the fact that there was interaction with him and your staff were very patient, caring and kind. Thank you. Keep doing the excellent work you do. Thank you very much!
Nazareth House is a loving and caring environment which provides a familiar ambience for older residents. Staff are genuinely caring, responding to individual wants and needs. There is no smell of stale urine or cabbage. Residents are always clean and well presented even when visits are unannounced. The reception and admin staff are helpful. Nurses and care staff are genuinely caring but honest. I feel that it is like a family in which I am included.
My husband had been at the care home for eight years. During his time there he was very well looked after, contented in himself, and got on well with all the carers. The entire staff at Nazareth House were so good with my husband and it was a very comfortable atmosphere. All so friendly. His funeral service in the lovely chapel was so special and just as he would have wanted.
I find that the staff at the home are excellent. They take the time to get to know each resident's particular needs and quirks. I find them to be gentle, considerate, professional and everything is done with a smile and good humour. They also get to know the relatives so that there is easy communication and respect. The admin staff always look at what can be done to make life better for the residents both in care and entertainment. The kitchen staff have a four-week rotation of menus and are always happy to accommodate any particular requests. As a relative, I feel part of the family and am happy that my parent is cared for.
I am very happy with Mum's care at Nazareth House - Hammersmith. Mum has a beautiful room and care is exceptionally good as are the menu options, they meet her every need. All the care staff and managers are so hands-on, flexible, wonderful, kind and caring to meet Mum's needs. The activity programme is amazing - I've sat in to sessions and mum is so engaged and I enjoy them. One staff member in particular organised an amazing birthday celebration, with cakes, refreshments, music and singalongs. Thank you to all staff, it was a truly beautiful celebration.
Excellent staff, kind, caring and go above and beyond to make residents feel safe. Grandma is always happy, clean and looks well and safe. Dinners and meals are on time and have excellent nutritional value. I am so happy with the care my grans receiving, I am extremely grateful. Well done and many thanks, God bless you all.
We loved the place, the nurses, etc. Our friend was well cared for and you can see the love of the people who work there with the residents. We have visited many care homes and so far it has been the best. Thanks for all you do for others.
My mother was a resident of Nazareth House for eight years until her death in January this year. We loved Nazareth House and the kind staff. It looks a little run-down but the love and care I can't criticize. We visited about four times a week until lockdown and I stayed 24 hours a day for the five days before her death. Her care was exceptional and she was treated with dignity and love. Thank you.
Nazareth House is a wonderful care home, the staff are warm, caring, kind and very professional. The care at Nazareth House is excellent, well maintained and clean. The food is extremely good. I would highly recommend.
The care and love given to the sister in my congregation is excellent. The staff are so kind and patient with her, showing real affection. Her medical needs are watched very carefully and I am kept fully informed. The building might not be the most attractive but in the end, it is the care that really matters. I wish to thank Nazareth House - Hammersmith, sincerely.
The level of care is very good.
Our mother has been a resident at Nazareth House, Hammersmith since the beginning of 2022. Prior to moving there, following a dementia diagnosis, we were constantly worrying about her. She was extremely anxious the majority of the time and took little pleasure in anything. Since becoming a resident she is a lot happier and nothing like as anxious as she was, as she always has someone around to talk to or care for her. All the staff are helpful and considerate and she has settled in so well. It is a huge relief to all the family knowing how well she is cared for.
We as a family can tell by our mother's/wife's persona, she is very happy within this care setting. We are still coming to terms with her not being at home but it has been a great peace of mind to us to know that the staff are genuine and have built a great rapport with Mum, with warmth and kindness. She looks happy, the food smells homecooked and appetising. We are relieved Mum had the chance to come here.
The staff who care for my mother are professional and empathetic and it is evident they know my mother well and are able to meet her needs. The extra activities are well coordinated and play an integral part in maintaining the well-being of my mother's care. Nazareth House, Hammersmith is a god send in providing the care my mother needs, embedded by faith, care and respect for the needs of the individual.
As shown by my rating of mostly good or satisfied, but always room for improvement. Some carers care more than others. For my wife, its a bonus that several members of staff speak Italian. Could staff be asked to leave parking spaces for visitors and may I suggest the spaces lines are repainted? Perhaps 2 or 3 spaces could be designated for blue badge spaces. What is the news regarding the refurbishment of Nazareth House? Payment by direct debit wa forgotten for 3 months?
My friend has been a resident at Nazareth House for over three years. He has early onset Alzheimer’s Disease. The staff at Nazareth House and particularly those on the third floor where he is a resident, have been consistently outstanding. I visit two or three times each week and my friend is always clean, clean-shaven, and dressed in clean clothes. He has deteriorated greatly as a result of his disease but the love, care, and attention that the staff have shown towards him, particularly the manager on the third floor, has been consistently very good. It was a painful decision to move my friend into Nazareth House but, under the circumstances, was the best possible decision that could have been made. There is a real sense of community there and my friend and those who visit him are made to feel a part of that. I wholeheartedly thank Nazareth House for all they have done for my friend, and all that they continue to do.
My cousin has been well looked after for over two years now, all through the pandemic as well. She is very content in her situation and feels safe and cared for. Many of the different members of staff stop to chat with her as they pass her door and she enjoys the various activities that happen on weekdays - it's a bit more boring on weekends! She's also grateful for the opportunity to attend daily Mass in the chapel as this is why we chose this care home, and the sisters also make her feel part of the family and spend time with her. There were recent outbreaks of Norovirus and flu/covid but these were handled sensibly and carefully, only closing the home to all visitors when absolutely necessary so that the residents didn't feel cut off again like in the national lockdowns. The viruses didn't spread far and many residents weren't ill at all.
My dad has been resident at this service for a little over two years. When he arrived he was extremely unwell and unable to do anything for himself, literally. The family was preparing to say goodbye. Within a few months he was able to sit up and to say a few words. Now, just over two years later, he is much more like himself. He leads a full life and is well cared for. He still needs help with personal care and such, but its delivered with care and respect. I really can't say enough good things about this service. The staff are amazing. They have given Dad back his life, and his family and friends more time to make precious memories. I'm forever grateful.
