View Full Details of Nightingale HouseThe help, advice and personal involvement by the staff is invaluable. One of the staff is an absolute gem and must be irreplaceable. His care and attitude are quite extraordinary.
As a long-term volunteer helping with activities, I am constantly reminded of the dedication, care and patience shown by every person I come into contact with towards the residents. They really do go the extra mile to keep them engaged and stimulated in whatever way works for each resident's needs and interests.
To early to make any significant opinions but treated with respect and care.
Nightingale House sets the bar on how, in my opinion, all care homes should be for our elderly. The care is exemplary in every way. The facilities are fantastic. It is such a comfort to know my mother is here.
We couldn't wish for more - caring, experienced staff, lots of activities, a smashing new CEO - everything is fine.
My husband went into Nightingale House Hammerson in May. When he arrived he was welcomed by staff at the door and given a welcome card. From that moment I knew I had made the right care home choice for my husband. The staff in his household have been excellent. Not only caring for my husband, but if ever I am upset they spend time chatting to me, which makes me feel better. Every time I go whenever I pass anyone who works or volunteers at Nightingale House Hammerson, they always say hello. This makes me feel part of the Home and not just a wife that visits her husband. The staff provide us with updates, are patient and caring with my husband. Although he can't tell me, I know he has settled in well as he has always got a smile for the carers. The facilities and activities are excellent and while my husband can, I or the staff take him to them.
My mother stayed at Nightingale House for 3 weeks while I was on holiday and, once she was back in her flat, she realised that she would much prefer to be living there. She missed the company and the environment. Mum has been there for 3 years and, now 99, I feel that she has hardly deteriorated in that time. I attribute that to the friendliness and encouragement of staff, the range of activities, access to beautiful gardens and interaction with other residents, who have become her friends. Nightingale management realised the importance of family visits during Covid and put great efforts into creating a successful and safe system, for which we were very grateful.
Our centenarian Aunt's previous care home in Highgate closed unexpectedly and we (my sister and I) were extremely pleased that Nightingale House could find a place for our Aunt. The move was obviously difficult and traumatic, especially during covid. Everyone has been very helpful and kind.
The health and care administered to my wife are centred on her. The organisation of the multi-discipline teams allows for my wives needs to be recognised, monitored and met with regular and ad hoc reviews which follow changes in her condition. The establishment generates a family feel to the care given and the whole package enables my family to sleep at night knowing my wife is well looked after.
Very well managed transfer of relative from another care home which was closing. Admin and care staff did their utmost to ensure a smooth transition in difficult circumstances (Covid limited etc).
I could not be more pleased with Nightingale House. They are quite simply excellent and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
My dear aunt has been living at Nightingale House for nearly 3 years. Before that, my mother was lovingly cared for in her final years with dementia. The care has been exceptional with great attention to detail. A lot of effort is made to encourage the residents to continue with interests and hobbies. My aunt loves reading and poetry. She has had one to one discussions about poetry with a wonderful volunteer and has had considerable help using her Alexa device to listen to talking books. Before the pandemic, she also took part in a French discussion group. She is also helped every week to make contact with her relatives and friends via face-time by another volunteer. The home is beautifully kept with attractive public areas, a lovely garden and a cafe.
