I am happy for everything. Top class, no complaints. The care I am receiving is More than I expected. I am happy with the room and all the services being provided. The nurses and all staff are very good, they are very attentive.
My experience coming to the home is excellent, except for entry when the office is unmanned. Twice when there was no one in the office, I had to wait 15 minutes to gain entry to the building. A diggestion is, that when the office is unmanned, an entry code should be left on the entry pad and removed when the office is manned so entry is not hindered.
The staff are all so friendly, caring, helpful and really take time with my mother going over and above to make sure she is ok, safe and looked after. They take the time to engage with her and also with the other residents. The management team are very approachable, personable, professional and helpful. We have seen an improvement in the meals and snacks recently. Housekeeping is good, staff is helpful. The activities team do an amazing job making such an effort to put on a variety of activities for the residents including those who don’t leave their rooms. It is evident how much the residents enjoy this time. The garden is lovely and peaceful. There is also a great hair salon. My mother is very happy at St. Vincent’s nursing home and we are also very happy that she is there as she is well looked after and safe. That is a testament to all the staff and the care given at all levels from carers, nurses, support, housekeeping, kitchen, admin and management etc. Thank you St. Vincent’s.
Management has been swift to respond to any communication and issues. The staff at the care home are always friendly and quick to fix issues. Communication between everyone at the care home sometimes goes wrong but they always own it, learn and move forward. I think more could be done to make the garden space more pleasant to be in. My mother very much enjoys the food provided at the home and the singing entertainment.
The care home take amazing care of my mum. The staff are friendly passionate and always friendly to my mum which she loves it makes her smile. When I leave the care home I never worry about her well-being they are so attentive.
I am very pleased that my mother is staying in St Vincents House. She is well looked after. It's a very caring and comfortable home. The carers are so spot on.
My niece and I visited my cousin today and we were very impressed with everything in the home. Lovely, helpful carers, pleasant staff and a really pleasant sitting room looking out on the garden, where my cousin enjoys seeing the birds and squirrels!
My mum was in St Vincents House for just over five weeks. During this time, each and every member of staff provided the best care and showed kindness throughout. It was very fortunate that my Mum was placed here during the last few remaining weeks of her life. I have nothing but praise for this establishment.
The staff are amazing, residents are well-engaged. Lots of activities being offered. The staff know their residents well, Lots of comfort and love including assurance that they need. Residents are treated with dignity and respect. No issues, excellent service.
I received a warm and friendly greeting when I visited the care home to consider it for respite for my father. The staff member put me at ease and was able to answer all my questions. When I went to finalise the paperwork, I also met with another senior staff member who was also friendly, courteous and again responded to any questions. The day my father was admitted to the care home, the unit manager called and confirmed his safe arrival. My father himself spoke very positively about the staff and his stay at the care home, which convinced me that I made the right decision to place him at St Vincent's for respite. I would recommend St Vincent's without hesitation.
Very good all round, very helpful staff.
Good experience for my wife during respite. Most staff are caring and dedicated in their work. The facilities are excellent, the room was good, communal rooms and gardens are wonderful. Rate this care home as very good.
My mother was transferred to St Vincents House when discharged from hospital and it became evident she needed more care than we could provide at home. We chose St Vincents House based on a visit, reading reviews and the CQC report. My mother and the family were welcomed and although we were all heartbroken at not being able to keep her at home, the care shown by the staff reassured us and they were mindful at how difficult we found the transition. There have been a few minor issues but they are usually dealt with quickly. There is a great range of activities for the residents and the staff always encourage the residents to take part. Since my mother has been there we have had two family celebrations and on both occasions one staff member in particular and their team have gone above and beyond to make these special. There is always someone on reception to welcome us when we visit.
My mother is well looked after. She is happy and relaxed. The staff are great with her and the home, including her room, is always clean.
My mother has been a resident at St. Vincents House Care Home for the last seven weeks, I could not have asked for a better place for her to stay, on arrival, you are always greeted with a warm welcome from reception. All the staff (every single one of them) I have meet are caring, professional and kind to myself, family and my mother, her room is spotless, clean and tidy, her clothes always washed and ironed, hanging in her wardrobe, mum is always clean and beautifully turned out, mum had lost a lot of weight due to a stay in hospital, since being in St. Vincents she has now started to eat more and is gaining weight, the staff are very patient with her and make sure she's eating and drinking enough. The entertainment and activities, well what can I say, the resident's love it, (me included) I've never seen so many happy smiling faces in one room, everyone signing along to the music, it's great, thank you so much, mum loves a sing song. Big thank you to all at St. Vincents.
Very happy with the home. My husband is well looked after. Happy with activities and staff are friendly.
Overall, very pleased with the premises. There is room for improvement in cleanliness. Staff are very cordial. Nurses are excellent.
My husband was looked after with kindness and sensitivity. I, too, was cared for in the last days of my husband’s life, with meals provided for me and my family. We all have good memories of the staff who supported us and felt they were not only carers but friends.
My mum, who has dementia, settled in quickly. The management and daily staff are exceptionally caring and professional. They are aware of what she likes, and the daily activities are very much enjoyed by Mum and the residents. The building is well-maintained. There are various activity rooms and a delightful garden. Her private room is an adequate size with an en-suite bathroom. The building is in a fantastic location with riverside restaurants and cafes literally within a few minutes walk.
