Barchester Westwood House Team excel in making there environment feel not only safe and secure but a very much loved and welcoming environment for all the residents. Simple examples I have noticed this month are the care and attention to the dining room, tables always immaculately set with table linen, flowers & menus and even during recent kitchen upgrades excellent food that residents come together to enjoy. The entertainment team and front of house ensure fun days and no important date passes without acknowledgment. As one would expect personal and medical care is excellent. It is with great comfort that I entrust them with the care of my mum.

the care home is a lovely place for my mum who is looked after very well staff really good cant do enough for her home is always spotless and looked after lots of activities going on to keep her happy the food always looks very tasty too.

All visitors are warmly greeted in reception and invited to participate in the extensive activities. Daily menus are mouth-watering. The carers actively engage with the residents. It is a pleasure to visit here.

My mother, who was reluctant to move into residential care, is now settled and content. She became a permanent resident towards the end of April 2024. She is safe and secure and I have felt very supported by the staff and managers through this difficult period of transition. Thank you all.

My grandmother has been living here since September 2024. She is happy and safe, which is the most important thing for me as a relative. The management and admin team are always available to talk to and will pass on messages to her if I can't get to visit her. The carers, one in particular, are amazing and so caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I have no complaints.

The team at Barchester Westwood House Care Home looked after our mum extremely well. They are kind and attentive. The facilities are excellent and the food is first-class. All the residents seem happy and content. Thank you all.

This care home is highly recommended. The caregivers are professional and have a caring attitude towards the client. My sister and brother-in-law are well cared for and appears to be settled. The only negative thing I have to say is that sometimes there is a strong smell of urine but apart from the, no complaints.

My mother has been a resident for a number of years here. We are, in all aspects, extremely happy and feel at ease Mum is in very good hands. Staff are excellent, management is always there to talk.

My dad was anxious about staying in the care home for respite care but he was happy here. He stayed for eleven nights and was well cared for. Staff were very friendly and caring. We wouldn't hesitate to place him here again for care if needed.

My mum has been a resident here now for the last three years and we're very happy with the care that she receives. The care staff are excellent. Overall, we're really happy with the excellent manager and care from everyone.

Mum has been in since 17th July 2024, if Mum is happy I am happy. Rooms are satisfactory. Staff good. My mum has also had her hair don which is great, it is good value for money. Mum is also getting her feet done.

My wife has only been a resident for over a week but in that time, I was reassured by all I've seen in this care home, by the safety aspects, the caring staff and the relaxed atmosphere allowing her to settle in. Many thanks.

Barchester Westwood House Care Home is a very good place for Mum, they are caring, understanding and think of the person. The rooms are good, food and staff. The security is also good with combination codes throughout the home. Overall experience is good.

My grandfather resided at Westwood house for around 2 years, before he sadly died on Monday. I could not have asked for more from a care home. The staff go above and beyond and the manager is so passionate about the resident's wellbeing, as well as the family's comfort when visiting the home. This is what Westwood House became to me, a home and a family. I cannot thank the manager and her team enough.

My mum came into the home in April and is gradually settling in. I find the staff always very positive about my mum and welcoming to us. We visit at all times of day and evening, and always find a calm and friendly atmosphere, despite the challenges that many of the residents have. I feel the carers manage the residents well and are patient and kind. The communal areas are comfortable and inviting, and the whole environment feels clean and hospitable. Some of the meals that I have seen could be improved with more variety of vegetables.

Since there has been a change of management there has been a great improvement in the home as some things had declined previously. The staff are a great joy and bring a lot of compassion and caring to the home. They are the glue that holds Westwood together. My mother has made some great friends with the residents and staff and I don't have to worry about her as I know she is well looked after and cared for and never lonely as there is always something going on to entertain the residents.

The people at the care home have been wonderfully patient during this difficult transition for my husband living in care. They are generally very very kind and create a positive atmosphere. It has been a godsend and a great relief for the whole family.

Would like to say the staff are very good to my mum, she struggles sometimes to understand why she is in a home but they really comfort her. There are no staff I have issues with, all great. The only issue I have there is laundry a lot can go missing and have to chase to find it.
