View Full Details of Windmill Lodge Care HomeMy relative was on the groundfloor in room 18 for respite, he was excellently looked after. I will always rate them outstanding. All excellent, no complaints. Activities excellent. Home clean and friendly staff always welcoming. All staff are well trained to meet individual needs. Thank you so much.
I am very happy with the services and my Dad (resident) is very happy and comfortable with the care. I will highly recommend Windmill Care Home.
The staff are very kind and patient with my dad which I am very grateful for.
Very happy with the care received here for our mother. Since she came to the care home she has been very well cared for by the nursing and personal care staff. There is a wonderfully relaxed 'buzz' about the place. Particularly impressed with the relationship with the local kindergarten which brings smiles to everyone's faces.
Since coming off end-of-life care. My husband has gone from strength to strength. This is because of the total dedication of all the wonderful staff who have nursed him back to where he is today. These lovely ladies and gents will be forever in my heart. I am truly honoured to become part of the Windmill Lodge family.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to the staff in Windmill Lodge. Their friendly and professional attitude cannot be overlooked. The care and consideration they gave my uncle while he was with them was excellent. In fact, he became more of a family member to the staff. Everyone got to meet "Samson" his favourite teddy who was never missing from the room. While he had a hard time settling in the first few days of moving to the home due to a change in his circumstances, the staff made him comfortable and relaxed. The atmosphere made it easier for me to relax knowing he is having some of the best care possible.
A really excellent place. The staff I've encountered are friendly, approachable, professional and show genuine affection for the people in their care. The home is spotless, clean and has a warm, welcoming glow. I couldn't ask for more for both my parents.
My mum is very happy here. All staff are very friendly and welcoming. She is well looked after and in great hands.
Excellent knowledgeable staff, clean environment. My friend that I went with said his Dad was well looked after. Good variety of food. Great activities and exercise sections. Rooms are tidy and spacious. Nice big garden.
Everyone is really helpful and kind to the residents from what I observe. Really happy in general.
My friend has been treated with great care and understanding by the team on the 2nd floor since his arrival in February. Special shout out to four staff members in particular for their warm and kindly attitude in what must be a very demanding job.
My mother has been living at Windmill Lodge for a year now. I would really like to thank all the staff, particularly the carers and the nursing staff who always keep in constant touch with me regarding my mother's care and medication. Mum is always clean and tidy and her room is immaculate. The care and compassion that the staff always show is so reassuring and I can relax knowing my mother is in safe hands and I do not have to worry about her. Thank you for all your wonderful support.
My mum went into Windmill Lodge Care Home last May. I cannot thank the staff enough for their valuable support and care and understanding they have given to my mum in the time she has spent there. They encourage her to engage in all the fun activities which she really enjoys. When I visit I always have so much fun with Mum and the other residents - it's so lovely to see them happy and smiling. I have really built up a great relationship with all the carers and senior staff at Windmill. It offers a safe and caring environment. She has a lovely room with en-suite facilities and it always looks neat and tidy when I visit. Staff are patient and kind. My mum is so settled now in Windmill and finally I can rest easy knowing she is well cared for and safe. It was the best decision my sisters and I made to ensure her wellbeing. She has made lots of friends and the staff call her the Dancing Queen! She loves dancing and so wonderful to see - it melts my heart. Thank you.
Our friend has been in this Care Home since January 2024 and I have seen nothing but kindness towards him. He can be noisy but this does not make the staff treat him any less kindly. I have never smelt human waste smells in the home or his room. When I ask him how's he finding his stay, he is as happy as his situation allows.
Windmill Lodge Care Home is truly a caring place. The staff genuinely show compassion in talking to my brother and work hard to get to know him. My brother presents with a complex set of issues that limit his independence, especially his mobility and his memory. The staff have developed a care plan that attempts to address important limitations for him, especially encouraging him to do more for himself, while at the same time giving him the help he needs in a dignified manner. I am thankful to all the staff for their diligent care for my brother and all the other residents.
Whenever I visit my friend in the Windmill Lodge Care Home, I always find the staff are very friendly towards any visitors and very attentive towards the residents, regardless of their wants and needs. The staff are always proactive with the residents. Today when I visited, the Lifestyle Coordinator had organised a sing song with another staff member playing the piano, everyone was encouraged to join in, both residents and visitors alike. You could see the enjoyment on the faces of all the residents who joined in.
It was so great to see the Windmill Lodge choir. The musician was playing the piano and the residents were joining in. I viewed it on their online page, I was so pleased to see this new initiative it was fabulous. Every time I come my 103-year-old mum is taking part or watching the activities.
My mother was always fiercely independent and happiest helping others. So I was very nervous when she had to move to a care home. But Windmill Lodge is not just any care home, it really is like a family. I see my mother given warmth, affection, respect and interest. It has become clear that staff have watched, listened and learned what helps her specific needs and they show the same care and kindness to me. There is often laughter, hugs, staff being patient if anyone is distressed. The manager is open to discussion of ideas/feedback and there is an ongoing, progressive sense of exploring new and varied ways of providing entertainment, engagement and activity for residents. My mother is happier now, at Windmill Lodge, than she had been for years. She has mental stimulation, fun and has been given purposeful things to do. She has friends among the residents and staff. Chef makes a fantastic birthday cake for residents too! The premises are clean, fresh and bright, like the welcome on arrival.
The professional manner in which the Windmill Lodge Care Home is run is second to none. From the daily activities to the clean resident's rooms. All staff conduct their duties with care and compassion. As the son of a resident, my family and I are so grateful for the care shown to my parent.
Very friendly staff. Informative and accommodating staff.
