View Full Details of Adelaide Care Home - Avery HealthcareMum went to Adelaide Care Home for respite care. She stayed for just over four months. During this time she was very happy. All the staff were very kind, caring and professional. They always kept us up to date/informed about mum's health. If I had any concerns about mum's health they were very attentive and got the appropriate professionals involved. As a family, we had complete peace of mind that mum's welfare was being looked after. They organised everything including medication. Thank you so much Adelaide we have no qualms about putting mum into the home as a permanent resident when the times comes.
My mum was looked after at Adelaide Care Home for almost 3 years until she passed away in December 2024. I cannot fault the care and kindness she received during her battle with dementia. Thank you to all the staff for your professionalism, and also for the care and support you gave my dad on his daily visits to Mum, which always left him with a smile and comfort on the hardest of days.
My husband has advanced Alzheimer's and moved into Adelaide Care Home in April 2024. The management and nursing staff caring for my husband have been first-class. The staff treat my husband with the utmost care and dignity. He is always clean and happy when I go to visit him regularly. I'm also kept well informed by the nursing staff of my husband's well-being. Choosing a care home for a loved one is always a difficult decision. My husband has settled very well and the staff are friendly and caring, nothing is too much trouble. I am pleased I made the right decision in choosing Adelaide as my husband's new home.
I was very pleased that there was a room available when my brother was discharged from hospital, as he had been very happy when he had been in the Adelaide for respite care in September. He is now well settled into his new home and enjoying life. He is looking very well.

Could not wish for a better care home for our mum. She is so happy and contented. The staff are lovely and always make me feel welcome with a cup of tea.

Although Mum only had a short time at Adelaide Care Home, I cannot praise the staff enough for their care and compassion shown towards Mum. She had dementia and wasn't easy all the time, so I also have to thank them for their patience. I would highly recommend Adelaide to anyone facing the heartbreak of letting a loved one go into residential care. Thank you all.
My mum has been in Adelaide House for just over two years. She has been looked after very well, although she can be trying at times. The carers are very good to her and understand her needs. Adelaide House is very homely, clean and comfortable. It also has a lovely large enclosed garden with a pond. They have activities to keep the residents occupied, but Mum usually prefers to nap. The food is good and Mum eats very well. Overall I am very happy with Adelaide House.
Mum was on the first floor residential dementia care. She received exceptional care from all staff members.
Caring and professional staff. Individual needs of residents immediately picked up due to staff training and intuition.
My dad was admitted for a two week respite period. The initial admission process was swift, professional and reassuring. They even extended it by a week at very short notice without any fuss. The home is fine but not super flashy. The care given by all staff is wonderful, supportive, caring, passionate and kind to residents and families alike. They showed so much affection for my dad and concern for my mum. Faultless stay.

The people who work at Adelaide are lovely and update my brother and I on our uncle's condition. He is well-cared for which we are extremely grateful for. I was very worried about my uncle before he became a resident of Adelaide as he was getting very forgetful at his home and was a danger to himself but now I don't feel any worry since he became a resident at Adelaide as I know he is being looked after. He always looks clean, and shaven and his room is very comfortable, clean and warm. The staff are very welcoming to me and there is always someone to answer my questions. Before my uncle's dementia deteriorated significantly he did say he would like to talk with people more. I raised this with Adelaide who said they will make sure he is talked to. They did ask him to come and join in the tea gatherings and other social activities but said he wanted to stay in his room quite a bit. The staff do care about the residents from my experience. I would recommend Adelaide!
My mum was a resident at Adelaide Care Home for only three short months. In that time, she was well looked after and genuinely cared for. The staff on my mum's wing, went over and above to look after her and also to look out for me. Nothing was too much trouble. They genuinely care for their residents. They work tirelessly, in a challenging environment and not just carers and nurses, but all the staff, the admin staff, the cleaners and maintenance. You only need to ask and a job is done. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
From the moment we walked through the door we were met with warmth and friendliness. The care and commitment to patients and their relatives was obvious and so reassuring. To know that kindness and respect are at the forefront of each and every one of the wonderful staff is so very important, and at last, I feel safe in the knowledge that my loved one will be extremely well cared for at this extremely important stage of his life.
If there are ever any health issues with my dad I am always kept up to date. I'm always reassured by visiting Adelaide. There is a very happy and jovial atmosphere. Everyone puts the residents at the heart of their efforts. My dad I know is in the best place to meet his needs, healthwise, emotionally and mentally.
