View Full Details of Bridge House Care CentreMy mum was cared for well for the time she was at Bridge House Care Centre. Sadly, she passed away October 29th this year. However, I am very disappointed that after being told Bridge House always sends a representative to a residents funeral, there was no one in sight on the day. After Mum living there for almost four years. I really was expecting better.
Excellent care given, above and beyond by all staff. We thank them for also accommodating us, giving of sandwiches and drinks, leading up to the passing of our mum.
Mum is very well cared for at Bridge House Care Centre. She loves going into the garden and feeding the birds. There are daily activities, various parties, days out and musicians visiting. Her healthcare is followed very carefully by the nursing tea and the carers are very helpful and friendly, knowing when to respect privacy. The house is kept extremely clean and laundry is handled well. Management and admin are always available if you need them. It's a lovely, happy place.
The minute I walked into Bridge House I knew my aunt would be well looked after. The staff were brilliant, kind, thoughtful and happy. Alas, my aunt was only there for a very short while but while here she was treated with kindness and the best of care. I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to pass. On her last day, she was treated with dignity and kindness, while staff made her comfortable. I would give them 100 out of 50, the best care and kindest of people.
I visited the care home today as my friend has been admitted here. The reception I got when I arrived was lovely and the staff are lovely as well. I am so pleased my friend is here, I can feel the warmth and loveliness of all the people that work here; they are an asset to you as a company. I would like to personally thank you for the help and assistance my friend is receiving, it is amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My father spent his final days at this nursing home, the care was outstanding, providing a safe, warm, kind environment in such difficult circumstances. They made sure my father was comfortable at all times and they were led by me for pain relief. The nurses who looked after my father treated him with dignity, respect and compassion this was also extended to our family. All staff were so welcoming and always offered cups of tea and food to whoever visited. Staff including the management team wanted to make sure we were all cared for, the wrap-around care was so crucial at such a sad time. The room was always kept clean and tidy. The smallest criticism is the decoration in the rooms and the en-suite toilet, this needs a complete redesign and decoration it looks very rundown, however, the care and support surpassed the peeling paint and holes. I feel incredibly blessed my father passed away pain-free and peacefully. Thank you.
My father had been a resident at Bridge House Care Centre for 11 months before he sadly passed away. Caring is often a very thankless task, especially when caring for those living with dementia. However, the care and comfort my father and our family (Mum, Sister and myself) received during a very difficult time was incredible and we were and are incredibly grateful. We were able to make his room a home from home with touches like the memory boxes outside of the room, which are very sympathetic to those residents who are unable to communicate and for all to see how residents lived their lives. Dad passed away in December and, despite it being a very distressing time, he and we were shown such care and compassion and were all incredibly well looked after before and after his passing. As a family, we have such fond memories of his time at Bridge House and often reflect how we miss seeing all the staff. We cannot thank them all enough and we will be forever grateful.
My father really enjoyed his experience in the Bridge House home. He was very well looked after, and all the staff knew him well and understood his needs. He was even taken out on trips. It was ideal for him.
My mother was a resident and I found the staff and the management incredibly sympathetic. They really do care. It is so reassuring to find genuine people who do everything they can to help vulnerable residents.
Fantastic care home for my Nan. Amazing staff and owner always contactable. I will be putting my mum and dad in the care home when they are ready. Thank you for all your love and support. Cannot thank you enough for all you did.
I think Bridge House Care Centre, is a very good care home. The management and staff are very good. They all work very hard. They are lovely. The activities are good. My partner is cared for very well.
My mum has been in Bridge House since March 2021, and I've found all the staff very helpful and friendly. All clean and well looked after. My mum has also had a bay trip and bowling, which is lovely. Mums room is adequate and clean.
I have only visited my friend in the Covid-19 designated area of the kitchen/garden of Bridge House since the lockdown in March 2020, therefore, I cannot comment on her own personal room. I would say, however, that the outside of her window is in need of re-painting and a cleanup. I had to fight my way through bushes, brambles and weeds to see my friend through her window. The visiting situation has not always been ideal; the kitchen door to the garden has been open during the hot weather, and given my friend's hearing issues is a nigh on impossible to have a conversation because of the traffic noise, likewise, when seated in the garden area. This area could also do with some maintenance given that visiting takes place there too. My friend is always clean and neatly dressed; she tells me the staff do all they can to make her feel good. She has access to the hairdressing facility, which is a great boon to her. The staff are always polite, courteous and go out of their way to ensure any requirements are met.
Always find the staff kind, understanding and caring. Would highly recommend.
Always greeted very well. At the moment have to be tested for Covid which is good. Always shown to room of resident. Left till ready to leave and shown to door. All very good.
I would like to thank all the staff for everything they do for me and my room is clean and tidy.
Staff at Bridge House have always been very welcoming, caring, friendly and helpful during my father's stay for the past year. You all were his family and did everything you could to keep him safe, comfortable and happy. You put a smile on my father's face! We all thank you for all your efforts. The only issue was that my brother who lives abroad couldn't video call to talk and see my father. We were given a mobile number and promised video calls but the mobile was always switched off. Please offer this service to a family who cannot visit the home. It will make a big difference to the resident and family. Also, I wanted my father to have a different room, as the room he was in got very hot in the summer, but this request was not given. I had to buy an air-con unit. In spite of this, my family and I are very grateful for taking good care of my father who was seriously ill. You all did what I could not do. Thanks a million. Take care and keep safe.
All staff are so caring, rooms are very clean. Food - always something different every day.
Bridge House is a lovely place. Staff are very helpful. Rooms are always clean.
Our father was 92 and was put in care after a hip operation because he would not co-operate with the physio's to walk. The carers had a lot of patience and encouraged him daily to the point where he began to use a walking frame to shuffle along. We would visit our father daily, one of the family members would be with him from morning till evening. We believe his mobility would have continued to improve, but sadly we were all locked down. The home, in my opinion, acted correctly in isolating the residents and stopping visits from families. We continued to contact the home for daily update and where possible a video call or conversation on the phone. Sadly our father passed away in his sleep, it was not due to Covid, nor was there any trace of the virus within him. We could not have asked for any better care for our father and thank all the staff for all they did prior to Covid and during Covid.
