My husband has been a resident since March 2024. I cannot fault this home in any way. All the staff are extremely caring and kind. My husband is bedbound, he has no bed sores, always clean and well cared for. He is now putting on weight thanks to the lovely food that he is given. The home manager is excellent, any queries and she will sort it. Can't find fault at all, everyone is so friendly.
My wife's room has an exit to the garden which she likes. Staff are very helpful and take their time.
Some very good staff, let down by one or two who need to learn a few basics about caring. Cleanliness not a reflection on cleaners but on carers. Activities - most of the patients not in a position to do any activities.
Generally speaking, I found the whole experience much better than I thought it would be. The atmosphere of the home, staff and carers were very friendly from the start. The therapist team were very knowledgeable and patient which helped me make good progress. Thank you.
My mum has been at Upminster Care Home for three weeks now, and I can't speak highly enough of all the staff who go above and beyond to make sure my mum is receiving the best care. I can ask any questions or for anything my mum needs, and the next thing, it's done straight away. My mum is in the assessment stage and council stage, but I really want my mum to stay here, as it's just what the Doctor ordered! Again thank you for all your help, and please pass this message on to all the staff.
I was happy with the way that my uncle was treated and looked after in Upminster Nursing Home. He arrived there without the best of briefings from the discharging hospital but they made him feel welcome and very quickly took away any stress being caused to him from leaving hospital in his confused state.
Moving into a Nursing Home is never an easy decision to make, but I'm pleased to say that my father was treated with care and dignity during his stay. Upminster Nursing home was one of many that we visited and I would have no reservations upon recommending this home.
My mother has received very good care in the home, especially when she became ill. She has been treated with care and dignity, especially by her nurse and carer.
Having been rather forced into finding a care home for my mother after a bad fall in her home, I visited 9 selected homes to ensure I found the best possible place for her to live out the final years of her life. The one quality that made my decision easy was the undoubtedly friendly manner in which the carers at Upminster Nursing Home treated the residents there.
