From September 2024, my view is the place is clean, and the staff are very helpful. My mum seems to be very comfortable however, my main concern is regarding the GP service, which needs more attention. For example, the GP should be more available to speak with the resident's family.
The service you provide in general is good and I am happy with the service provided, I trust that my father is in good hands. I am very much concerned about dinner being served at 4.30 pm and that's too early for anyone and for my father as he is not used to having dinner at 4.30. Maybe this issue needs to look into.
The staff are all lovely, welcoming and friendly; from the reception staff, to the carers, laundry staff, cleaners and handymen. My mum is happy and very well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble. The care is exceptional.
As a family, we are very relieved that our mother is well looked after and content. It gives us peace of mind to know that she is being well cared for. The home and our mother's room is always very clean. The staff are polite and courteous.
The staff are lovely. The home is always clean and the resident's clothes are cleaned regularly. The manager is always available for any queries you may have, although generally the ward staff can help with most things.
My mother is ninety-eight and has been at Elm Lodge for a number of years now. The staff and carers do a remarkable job and take care of all of the residents in a kind and professional manner. My mother is in a good hands and is treated with dignity.
Although Dad can be confused and uncertain of his surroundings, the one thing that comes through with our conversations is that he is being looked after and cared for and ultimately that’s what he needs. He has not lost his sense of fun and humour, which is heart-warming given his health issues.
The care home seems very well run. The staff are caring and welcoming and they communicate well. My dad is very happy there. He enjoys the food and is able to listen to his records. It always seems clean.
The staff are brilliant and look after my aunt with great care. The place is spotless. Very clean, lovely meals and the staff are brilliant; they look after patients like their own family and they have lovely days out. Can’t fault anything.
My father has been in Elm Lodge for over two years with Lewy body dementia and Parkinson’s. The care level is outstanding by all staff, very warm welcome every time we visit from the receptionist and the home manager. We, as a family, were very uneasy and upset about having to put my father into a care home. But, the whole team at Elm Lodge made us feel relaxed, comfortable and reassured. We feel like family to all staff and patients, as we visit everyday. I can’t mention all names, as there’s too many, but everyone is incredible and always accommodating, more so during the really tough times (like Covid 19). Thank you.
Staff are always friendly and helpful. Dad is well looked after and I’m always informed of anything pertaining to his wellbeing. He also looks forward to mealtimes, as he still enjoys his food. He loves the meals he is given and often clears his plate.
We are very happy with the quality of the care offered and provided for my father. His care is tailored to his individual needs. He is well-fed and cared for. He is understood by the nurses and care assistants. He is happy and well looked after.
The staff are very caring and friendly. The room clean and tidy. Everyone is welcoming and cheerful.
Mum has been in Elm Lodge since February 2022 and will continue to stay there. She has settled and has improved since being at Elm Lodge over these last 6 months. Staff are kind, friendly and supportive, not just to Mum, but to me and my family as well. Lovely group activities with a strong sense of community spirit. It's a joy to visit her there, which brings comfort and relief to a set of difficult circumstances.
My husband resides in Elm Lodge as of June 2021. I am very pleased that the place is always clean and tidy. The manager of Elm Lodge is professional and always finds time to greet you and listen. My husband stayed for 1 year in the Bow Street ward. As of June 2022, my husband stays in the Fleet Street ward. Employees of both wards are very professional and friendly. I was/am always informed of any incidents/additional treatments/medical appointments. After being admitted 5 times to the hospitals in 2021/22 my husband always recovered quickly and felt better when back at Elm Lodge. I am very happy that the manager hires quality professional employees who really care. I admire their dedication and hard work. The whole family is relieved now as my husband is in a safe place and in good hands. Much appreciation.
From what I have seen so far I am happy with the care my dad is receiving. We are always informed of any incidents that occur. The home is very clean and the staff are helpful. The home has good security keeping the residents safe.
My husband has been a resident in Elm Lodge since November 2021, now as a permanent placement. From what I've seen so far, the staff on Regent Street are all very nice, helpful and caring. The carers are doing their very best under the circumstances with the Covid outbreaks and limited staff at times. I'm happy with the care my husband is receiving, he appears to be settled and hopefully happy which is difficult with the dementia. The care home is clean and the staff are helpful. Always informed of any changes to my husband's condition. The security is good, I am always welcomed when I visit.
The staff genuinely care for my wife’s well-being and happiness. On our wedding anniversary, they decorated her room, made a cake and helped us celebrate recently. I’m not aware of any other care facility that shows this level of personal attention. Most of all, I can see my wife is happy there, which is comforting to my family and me. Thank you for taking such wonderful care.
All staff have welcomed my mum and have been caring for her since January 2019. Mum has vascular dementia and I know how challenging dealing with all that comes with this condition is. Elm Lodge's selfless caring, not to mention patience, of my mum is second to none, especially through Covid. It's been hard not being able to see Mum. Elm Lodge's staff had been tremendous in easing this burden.
We are living through very difficult times and I can truly say how very thankful I am to all members of Elm Lodge care home. Thanks for the excellent care received, my mother has been able to recover from the virus and despite her advanced years, has never looked better or happier. Thank you Elm Lodge.
