View Full Details of FallowfieldMy mum, spent her final few months at Fallowfield and we couldn't have asked for a better environment for her to spend her time being cared for. Every single member of staff at Fallowfield went above and beyond with their care for mum and she was made to feel at home immediately after moving in. The activity program was varied and had something for everyone no matter what their ability. The menu was varied and nutritional and mum always enjoyed the food on offer every day. The care that my mum received was excellent and wouldn't have wanted her to be anywhere else. The staff were so genuine and welcoming and I felt like I was part of the family when I visited every day. Mum sure was in the best place and I will miss my daily visits!
My mother was very well cared for at Fallowfield. All the staff were friendly and attentive to her needs. Mum enjoyed some activities, especially painting and puzzles. The entertainment staff were very helpful and encouraging. The room was comfortable and looked out onto the gardens and lawn.
The home is very warm and welcoming and is in a very grand building and setting. All the staff, from management and admin to nursing and support staff, have been really supportive of my mother-in-law and the family as a whole. Unfortunately, Mum's terminal prognosis made her stay very challenging, but we were supported very sympathetically until the end.
Given my father is restricted to bed and his room as a result of his fragility and his own wishes, the facilities are fine. Staff are attentive to my father's needs. Cleanliness is excellent. My father is treated with dignity in the main. Relevant professionals are involved in my father's care to maintain a healthy balanced weight and diet. We are kept up to date by way of newsletters and weekly e-mails updated by management as and when required. mum has become quite a star through photos being taken of all the different things that they do.
Extremely pleased with all the care and attention that my husband receives. The activities at the care home are extremely well presented and fun and stimulating. The home is always clean and tidy, kept up to date by the staff team/management on how my husband is progressing.

We are very happy with the level of care our mother is receiving at Fallowfield. The staff ensures, despite our mother's incapacity, that she is treated with dignity and respect. It is reassuring that whenever we visit, our mother is always clean and well presented, and obvious that staff have taken care to moisturise our mother's skin and brush her hair nicely. The staff clearly have a passion for the work they do, and this always comes across. Thank you!
Excellent surroundings (gardens etc). Supportive and friendly staff. Great care and food provided. Medical needs met totally. Motivational involvement provided.
Excellent room very helpful for my wife who is unable to participate in most activities or go outside. For me the knowledge that she is a good and safe home is essential, and I can visit her regularly, living nearby. So I miss her after 67 years of marriage but I feel at home when I visit her. She needs her earpieces and new batteries once a week,
My mother is receiving excellent care, tailored to her personal needs and which is delivered with much kindness. The staff are considerate and understanding of her limitations, gently encouraging her to socialise despite her dementia. They have also rekindled her interest in art.
my husband has been a resident in Fallowfield since December 2020. He has been quite a challenge to all the staff, but with lots of patience and understanding and getting the right medication they have succeeded in making him calmer. Every time a member of staff come to see him he gives them a big smile, which is so good to see. I have come to realise that it would be impossible for me to look after him at home, and knowing that he is getting such good care in Fallowfield makes me so grateful.
My Father-in-law was receiving end-of-life care and I cannot express enough gratitude to describe the care and patience in which my father-in-law received from arrival to his last days. If I had to describe Fallow Field in one word, it would be outstanding. Well done to the staff team, management and the providers!
Having come here looking for companionship, friendship and happiness, I found myself overwhelmed with the friendly day staff who are always ready to help in many ways. this includes the night staff, kitchen, domestic and especially the laundry who care for my clothes. Exchanging a few words of banter or otherwise can help start the day on a cheerful course. I enjoy taking part in the activities and being supported to try to sway to the rhythm of dancing music when we have entertainment. There are, of course, ups and downs but as you can see, I am on the whole very happy in my choice of home.
My mother is extremely well cared for. All the staff are helpful, kind and lovely to mum. I can honestly say there have been no problems whatsoever, as all of mum's needs are tended to. As a family member, I am always spoken to in a friendly manner and made to feel very comfortable when visiting mum.
Too many agency staff. Carers and medical, some good, some very poor. Hard to make any real relationship. At times not enough staff to carry out the work required. Some of the regular carers are very good but again some have a 'couldn't care less' attitude. Have had a few questions about small problems, told leave it to us, no further action taken or answers. All in all, I feel very unhappy with my choice of home and wonder if I have done the best for my wife, who I love dearly.
