View Full Details of Fieldway Care HomeI just spent a week respite care at Fieldway Care Home while my wife and son had a break. I was made to feel totally welcome from the offset. I was very well looked after the entire week. I just want to say thank you to the management and staff for the wonderful atmosphere they create in the Care Home. I hope you will have me back again.
Overall it has been a reasonably positive experience. Unfortunately of recent an incident has occurred which is currently under investigation. The food also was of sub-standard quality but appears to be improving. Mum is generally happy here and that is what is important.
I found from day one of my wife's stay that all my worries about her going into care vanished. She has been treated absolutely brilliantly. All members of staff are so friendly and treat my wife as though she is one of their own family. I cannot give Fieldway enough praise. Thank you all.
Whilst visiting my friend since she has been here I have found her to be in a happy home. She is always clean and well-dressed.
Since my grandmother has been a resident at Fieldway Care Home. I have never doubted her care, all nurses are very pleasant, patient and caring. The care home staff are extremely welcoming. Overall I would recommend any families worried about finding a care home for their relatives to come to Fieldway, I would ensure they will be cared for.
My grandmother has been a resident for over a year now and she has always been treated very well by all the staff. They are all very nice to her, friendly and caring if we have a request, they do the best they can to accommodate it for us and for Nan. She has a lovely room, with a garden view. The staff are very nice and caring and treat Nan and my family very well and are always great in communication with us when we visit and when necessary. They do games and activities daily with an activities board to keep residents active to their abilities which is great, they also do family-inclusive activities (i.e. BBQs, tea parties, sing-along sessions and exercises etc.) and put a whole heap of things on throughout the year following what is happening in the world (i.e. Halloween, black history month, Christmas etc) They have a hairdresser, chiropodist, doctor and dentist that all visit the home. They also have tv rooms, dining areas, a large garden area where residents and family can go to. All in all a lovely home for Nan.
During my mother's short stay at Fieldway Care Home, I found the staff and facilities excellent. The reception staff, as well as the nursing and care staff were all friendly and helpful with good, practical advice. Communication over the phone during the week was also good but I found trying to access information during the weekend to be poor. Overall, I would say Fieldway is a first class care home and would recommend it.
I can't rate this care home highly enough. Went there on a couple of occasions to view this for my mom (as she needs 24/7 care due to dementia) and from the moment I arrived in reception to be shown around right through to her moving in and settling down, everything was seamless including the application process. All the staff are always caring, friendly, happy and organised and whilst I still find it difficult to accept my mom needs to be locked up for her own protection, it really is such a pleasure to visit as everyone is so pleasant and everywhere is completely spotless with communication super efficient and thorough at all times. My mom's room is large and lovely with her own en suite toilet room with basin, both beautifully maintained and decorated with her personal belongings making it feel like a real home from home. Thanks Fieldway.
From the welcome into reception, you feel your loved one is cared for in a respectful, kind and professional way. The home is clean and so are the rooms and residents. There is always someone to speak to and you are kept in contact with every matter concerning your loved one. High standards of staff who respect one another, residents and members of the family. Highly recommended.
Whenever we visit the staff are always happy and the rooms are clean. We get regular communication and the home organises regular activities. Whilst the car park is small we never have issues parking.
On Friday 9th December we took my 83-year-old sister-in-law into the care home. She has memory problems and social services, who are funding her, have agreed she is too vulnerable to continue to live on her own. Fieldway was the only care home that had a room and despite it being 'Hobson's choice', I was very impressed with the management at our first meeting. This excellent impression was substantiated when we took my sister-in-law to visit a couple of days later. Early days, but it really seems an excellent home!
Very honestly, my brother is receiving the most caring help from everyone on the Fieldway team, and also the team are very helpful to me with my questions and concerns. It goes without saying that Fieldway is very clean, warm and comfortable for my brother and I feel very welcome when I visit.
I've not seen my mother-in-law this happy since staying at Fieldway. Before she was quiet, introverted and not thriving. Now she's happy, buoyant and eating well.
My mum was admitted to the hospital following a terrible fall with significant injuries. As a result, is now a resident in the care home. We were really worried as a family. Our worries were soon dispelled. The manager and all the staff are absolutely lovely. Massive shout out to staff. Today mum wasn't feeling too well and they have been superb. Massive thank you. The home is spotless and the food very good. From our family, we couldn't ask for more. Thank you all.
Fieldway nursing home is a place that you look forward to visiting. Mostly, the staff are nice, accommodating, greeting you with a good smile, approachable and well organised. My friend said (the service user) I never had a quality of life before; since I stayed here in Fireldway, I felt the quality of life. He loves the staff and the food that they serve every day.
Excellent home, very clean and rooms are well looked after. Everyone is friendly and helpful. My mum has been treated extremely well for which I am grateful.
I would like to pass on my thanks to all the staff at Fieldway Nursing Home. Since my stepmother arrived at Fieldway at the beginning of June she has received a high level of care. The staff are extremely busy caring for all residents but have gone above and beyond to ensure they look after my stepmother's needs and have kept me up to date with any issues. Nothing is ever too much trouble. My stepmother was very distressed when she arrived but over the past six weeks is making such wonderful progress. This is due to the care and patience of the whole team who go out of their way to understand the needs of the residents they care for. I cannot praise the staff enough from the office, cleaners, kitchen, care, nursing staff and management. They always have a smile on their face and are very welcoming. Thank you to everyone it is so reassuring my stepmother is being cared for so well.
My mum has only been in this care home for a few days and all I can say is wow. My mum seems so much happier, the staff are brilliant, caring, keep me informed even the cleaners find time to talk to my mum. To know my mum is happy and being cared for gives me and all my family some peace. The Manager goes way and beyond to assist her needs and finds time in her day to visit mum in her room for a chat.
We have been so thrilled at how much care and support has been shown to mum over the years at Fieldway Care Home. The staff have become friends to not only mum but to ourselves. They have remained cheerful for such a long time, they should be congratulated and thanked from the bottom of our hearts. Such a lovely community, it has been such a support to mum and the family. Thank you.
I can't really comment on many things as only seeing reception and visiting room. Mum seems happy, well-fed, clean and settled.
