View Full Details of Franklin HouseFranklin House is a lovely care home. Mum has been here for several years now and is well cared for, which is a great comfort to us as a family. Although mum chooses to stay in her room, there is always an activity taking place or an entertainer in the lounge to entertain the residents. They also hold a summer bbq and a Christmas party. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and always offer me a cup of tea when I visit. The reception area is regularly decorated to celebrate the relevant season/festival and the staff on the desk are lovely. The home is clean and has recently been redecorated on the ground floor. I am very happy mum is cared for at Franklin House.
My wife and I are extremely happy with the care my mum is receiving in Franklin House. My mum is being looked after with much love and care and cannot fault the efforts all the staff on making her feel safe and happy. The home is very clean and very well maintained and always decorated nicely with all the yearly festivals. The whole staff team, from management to the cleaning staff are all so friendly and helpful the minute you walk into their building. Everyone has a smile on their face. Franklin House deserve more than 5 stars. Thank You All.
This was our first experience of a care home and we were very impressed. Although Mum was only at Franklin House for 3 weeks, everyone there was so kind and welcoming to both her and us. Nothing was too much trouble. They took the time to get to know Mum, her likes and dislikes and the level of care she needed. They made us feel so welcome when we came to visit, and we could pop in any time. We knew Mum was being looked after and was receiving the best care which took a weight off our minds. Thank you all so much.
My mum and dad both stayed here in their last chapter of life, and honestly so happy they did as all the staff are brilliant and vary caring with a nice homely feel, and couldn't of been in better hands. My mum stayed here first so when it was dads turn it was the only choice for us.
What an absolutely wonderful nursing home. I can't rate it high enough. The accepted and looked after my dad for the last two weeks of his life. They were aware he was on 'End of Life' care in hospital but were still happy to look after him. As you can imagine, emotions were extremely high with myself and my family. We were supported to the highest level. Dad received the absolute best care and was treated with the upmost kindness, respect and dignity. They looked after us so much as well. We were welcome any time of the day and night to sit with dad. We were offered kind words, hugs, tea, coffee and biscuits. We were even offered meals. 6 x years ago they looked after my mum too and the care was of the same level. Can't thank them all enough.
Franklin House is a well-managed care home with loving and hard-working staff. Our personal observation and experience are that they consistently provide great and attentive care to all residents all the time. In addition, they provide comprehensive daily activities programmes to promote/encourage residents' engagements which are enjoyed by all. We especially appreciate the manager for his management leadership and one particular member of staff for coordinating the care assistant teams to work so effectively and harmoniously. All the nurses are wonderful and caring and so are the care assistants. Thank you!
This was my first time to visit my father in Franklin House and I was so delighted to see how happy and settled he was there, the staff that I came in contact with were so pleasant, friendly and helpful, to see my dad so happy and content there makes life easier for me as I live outside the UK.
Franklin House cared for my uncle for just over a year, he received such remarkable care. All the staff were excellent, compassionate and very caring to his needs. I was regularly called with updates on his wellbeing
Outstanding care and services! Wonderful team from cleaners to management - everyone gives 100% and more! So much kindness and compassion - lots of entertainment to keep everyone busy and motivated. Couldn't recommend this beautiful place highly enough! My father was lucky enough to be there for almost 3 years and died peacefully with a night nurse comforting him! Thank you Franklin House, for making our hardest decision, the best decision we made!
My great-aunt moved into the home back in September, we were very worried as we didn’t know what to expect and how she would react to being in the home. She is 91 and was no longer safe at home by herself. From day one the staff at the home have been amazing so friendly, very helpful and always there if we need anything, they keep us updated they just go above and beyond, we couldn’t be happier that my aunt is now staying here best decision ever and it’s all down to Franklin House staff. We highly recommend and will forever be grateful. The home has so much going on, it's clean tidy the food is great and what they do for the residents is unreal they really do care and all staff have a heart of gold. Thank you all so much for being the best.
Our dad was a long-term resident of Franklin House for nearly 3 years, he lived living there, calling it 'his hotel'. The staff could not have done more for Dad, they are beyond brilliant. The overall care was exemplary. The events and days out Dad had kept his days interesting and varied. In my opinion, no home could have bettered Franklin House. Thank you all for caring so much.
The staff at Franklin House are over and above amazing. The care and kindness that they showed to my grandad was fantastic and we will forever be grateful to them. Thank you to all of the staff for their care, compassion, professionalism and love.
Myself and my brother had a mum who had been in the care of Franklin House and their sister home for nearly ten years. We sadly lost her at the end of Feburary, three days short of her 97th birthday. We put her long life down to the care, attention, respect and love that she received at Franklin House. From the amazing manager, the deputy manager, his right hand, Mum's carer, the other residents' carers, everyone that works there, they are all a credit to the caring profession. My brother and I are going to miss them so much. They were our mum's family. We are going to visit them, they haven't got rid of us! Just to pop in, every now and then, to say hello, to have a cup of tea and a chat. To say thank you for not only looking after Mum but for looking after us. We will be eternally grateful for what they did. Anyone who has a loved one in their care should know that they will receive the best care possible. Because our mum did. Respect and gratitude to all.
My mum has been in Franklin House for a week and is having nursing care. Franklin House, the manager, and all the staff are truly amazing. Mum is so well cared for and I am so grateful that she is being looked after by such a professional, caring team of people. Not only caring with Mum but also making sure I am okay, popping in regularly while I am visiting to see if I need anything or need assistance. They always have time if I have any questions or need a chat. I see Mum every day and when I go into her room she always looks comfortable, clean and fresh. The atmosphere across the whole building is homely and friendly. At a very stressful time, this all makes things that little bit easier to cope with.
We would like to show our appreciation to all the staff, who worked so hard to give my mum the nursing care she required during her stay. Mum told me she knew how lucky she was to be there. Her illness never allowed her to be involved in all that was going on, but she did attend the garden party, they where amazing, we were so lucky to be involved, all the family cannot thank the home manager and the deputy manager enough, from the warm welcome on reception to the 24 hour nursing care the home provided. Thank you very much.
Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The staff are caring and know the residents. I enjoyed reading the newspaper. Articles are displayed on the corridors. It was good to see photos displayed in the room.
The management, nurses and the whole care team at Franklin House are all first class. My aunt was only a resident for about five weeks but everything was done to try and control her pain, following a fall at home, and ensure she was as comfortable as possible.
I have a close friend residing in Franklin House. Visiting, over the last six months since she arrived there, has only ever been a wonderfully positive experience. I am so happy with her care that I would much prefer her to stay there than move to a care home that would be nearer for me to get to. Today my friend was taken to a local garden centre and told me all about it for half an hour without taking a breath. This has been such a tonic for her. I have found that Franklin House is a very special place with exceptional members of staff under the wonderful management who does a great job of keeping his staff happy as well as the blessed residents.
Excellent home for my mother with Alzheimer’s. Staff take the time to get to know the resident's likes and dislikes, and interact with them frequently. Staff are kind. Rooms are spacious and clean, great menu with choices for residents. Annual BBQ, Christmas parties and birthdays celebrated with family involved. GP, physiotherapist and hairdresser visit weekly. In-house activities take place twice a day, with occasional trips. Great garden, on-site parking. Only downside is the communication between staff can sometimes be disjointed, and gaining entry into the building for family can take up to 20 minutes as the door has to be released by staff member. These are minor compared to the quality of care.
From when we first visited Franklin House Care Home to make enquiries about Dad going into full-time care, from the manager to all the staff, have been so helpful, happy and nothing is too much trouble. The care they give my dad is with great respect, dignity and care as he is bed-bound.
