View Full Details of Heathland Court Care HomeMum was in your care home for nearly one year. She was looked after with such care and kindness by all the members of staff. When the time came for her to pass on, I was so touched to see her carers come in and talk to her and comfort her. I know Mum was happy in Heathland Court and I felt happy she was there. I was always welcomed warmly into the home and felt part of it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved one.
Heathland Court is a caring and well-run home with a regular team of staff who are trained and who take a personal interest in the residents. My mother has been at Heathland Court for eight months. She is completely nonverbal and unable to do anything for herself or let us know how she feels, so we place a great deal of trust in the home to look after her and make sure she is comfortable and content. She has a bright, freshly decorated room which we have been able to set up with familiar things from home and Heathland Court has all the suitable equipment to enable the best care along with full-time qualified nursing staff on each floor and a consistent team of carers. We have appreciated getting to know the staff and the fact that there is a regular team with whom my mother has become familiar. The support staff looking after laundry, food and activities are equally caring and willing to help and we are very happy to have found Heathland Court.
My aunt received very good care for the six months that she was a resident at Heathland Court. The staff were always very kind and attentive. I would recommend to anyone considering residential care.
Overall Mum's care is excellent, we have had some communication (or miscommunication) issues re hospital admissions. But overall we have managed to sort the updates out by email. Can Mum be prepped at night to ensure she does not have a future aspiration pneumonia if at all possible, also can her stays in hospital mean fees are adjusted at all.
My sister and I are grateful for the help and assistance that the staff have afforded our mother. Her needs are greater than we could provide and this has been met at all times. The fact that the staff are always polite and friendly, notwithstanding the on-going pressures they experience on a day to day basis is also much appreciated.
Friendly and helpful staff. My friend is well cared for.
I was in the home for a short stay. Although there were some good points, the daily care was often poor e.g. laundry arrangements were chaotic. The fortnight was spent hunting for clothes. The staff were often inexpert and untrained. While accidents and mistakes were bound to occur, there was a general failure to apologise for these. It was an awkward not to have phones in the rooms and there was a lack of basic things like body cream and even soap. Approaches to the management were not fruitful.
I am the oldest daughter and power of attorney for my father. As soon as I walked into see the care home, I knew this was where I wanted my father to be. My feelings were spot on one month later he had settled, the staff are wonderful and caring. Clean and a safe place for my dad. Well done Heathland Court Care Home.
I am very happy with all the carers in the home especially the ones on first floor who takes care of my dad. My dad is happy in the home, he is fed well, clean and comfortable. I feel very comfortable to leave my dad in capable hands.
Staff here are always friendly and willing to oblige. Both receptionists are friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic team that looks after my mum with care and dignity, a lovely room and a wonderful set of human beings that really do go the extra mile. The food needs an overhaul. You need to overhaul the choices and make it more appetising for everyone. Review the times so there is a gap in between them more of a 9 am - 1.30 pm and then 6 pm. Swap around more at lunch to supper being more substantial. This food has to last till the morning.
Came to visit our aunt and was very impressed with the first impression of the home from the initial lady letting us in to the lovely lady who prepared the food and made us all some toast and tea as my husband is diabetic and needed to eat something. Our aunt seemed very happy and comfortable in her room, we went on a look around with our cousin and saw some of the residents having a singalong and were also told by our cousin about the different entertainment that you provide. Everybody seemed very happy and content, well done to all the nursing staff for going to all the effort to keep the residents safe and content.
I was very happy with all the staff at Heathlands and particularly nursing staff who was wonderful and knowledgeable. It was good to see the same faces there every day, so not so many temping agencies.
The staff made my mum's eightieth birthday very special. They made so much effort with organising a little party for her with the other residents. It was fantastic, thank you so much.
We visit the care home quite often and are always impressed with the staff, they are very caring and treat all residents with dignity. One staff member cheers us up, as well as all the residents.
Lazy uncaring carers with bad attitudes. My father got severe depression during his stay at Heathland Court and due to lateness of getting lasting power of attorney we were unable to move him. I would never recommend this home to anybody. It should not be called a care home as no care was ever shown in this hell hole.
Systems generally well designed and run by competent, motivated and friendly staff - in difficult circumstances. I am particularly pleased by the recovery of the resident I visit this must largely be due to excellent care.
My father in law was in the home for just seven weeks but we can honestly say they were the best weeks of his last six months of life. We met some wonderful caring staff in that time and the room that he had was a lovely, bright environment in which he completed his life. Caring for someone on an end of life pathway is hard but the staff always treated him promptly when needed, they spoke kindly to him and were attentive to his needs. For us the staff was the best aspect of all. Bless you for what you did. All of you. It was appreciated
When we found out my mum had to go into a care home as she was end of life we were worried as you hear such awful things about care homes, Heathland Court is absolutely nothing like the stories you hear. The complete opposite, the room Mum was in was very light airy clean and colourful, each and every carer on my mum's floor treated her so lovely, they are so kind and compassionate and very understanding of her needs. They were reassuring to mum and my family and kept us up to date with everything. Sadly my mum has now passed away but I would not hesitate to say to anyone that is thinking about a care home for their loved one that Heathland Court Care Home is a very high standard and they pride themselves on the care and attention they give to the resident to make their stay a happy warm and comfortable environment. I would like to thank all the staff at Heathland Court.
I chose Heathland Court for short-term convalescence after an operation. The team were very flexible in what they could offer, and very accommodating of my needs. The accommodation is pleasant, with a lovely garden and shared spaces like the dining room and conservatory. My room, which overlooked the garden, was spacious and comfortable, and with an ensuite shower room. Most importantly, all the staff are very welcoming and approachable, ready to help where they can. There are activities which you can join in where you can meet other residents as well as staff. I really benefitted from my stay at Heathland Court. I was very well looked after, and would be happy to recommend it.
