View Full Details of Cloisters Care HomeMy husband was a resident in Cloisters Care Home for 18 months. He was well cared for and was shown much kindness and care, which was also shown to me. I visited every day and was always met with a welcome.
Cloisters Care Home staff and medical team have made an immense positive change in my mum's care over the past year. From being bedridden to now attending activities, engaging with staff and residents to enjoying the delicious food. My family thanks the Cloister's team for their empathetic and personal care for my mum. She is comfortable, content and loves her carers. Thank you team Cloisters!
Despite all the management changes over the last few years and the turnover of some staff, the care is amazing. The carers all look after my mother with kindness, are gentle, and use the appropriate language. I just hope the new manager stays a while. Care costs have gone up tremendously and finance by the company is not communicated well, despite repeated requests. It feels like my mother is keeping everyone else. But the care received keeps us there.
Going from bad to worse. dreadful lack of communication. Resident lost hearing aid and then dark glasses which are needed as he is a blind veteran. Not able to go to the dentist as not enough staff to take him but no messages were given to me even though I have his power of attorney. Staff are leaving at a great rate and also some of the newly appointed management as well. I really do not know what is happening or why but it is not good for residents and staff. I am the lpa for the resident, aged 90 who has been in this care home for over 15 months.
My mother was on palliative care when she arrived at Cloisters Care Home. The staff took good care of her health and well-being. In particular, the head nurse took all my concerns on board relating to mum and put my mind at ease. She always made time for anything I wanted to say to her. All the staff were very accommodating even the admin staff. They day she passed away the staff were a big support. Thank you.
My mother has been at Cloisters Nursing Home for a few months. It is reassuring to know she is being looked after very well. I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work, caring and friendly approach. I have been saddened by the news of the Deputy Manager leaving. She will be missed, not only was she friendly and approachable but extremely knowledgeable about the many aspects involved in caring for the Residents. She took time to develop a caring, respectful and cheerful relationship with my mother. I was made to feel comfortable when I visited and was involved in my mother's care. We will miss you, wish you all the best and a big thank you to all the staff at Cloisters.
My mother moved into Cloisters Care Home four months ago and has settled in very well because the care and support given are to a high standard. All staff are very friendly and give my mother their full attention and treat her with dignity. All her care needs are being met and we feel welcomed by the staff. The activities are great and my mum enjoys taking part. The staff are always happy to help.
This care home is a lovely place to live. All the care and the kindness you get from everyone is special and you get all this from management and staff. It makes you feel very safe.
From the first day, my mother came to Cloisters Care Home, I have found the staff to be very friendly and willing to help out in whatever situation has arisen.
My mother has been a resident at the Cloisters Care Home for nearly three years now. Initially, we were not sure what to expect but the staff explained everything and answered all our queries. I have found the care and support for my mother to be of the highest standard you could wish for. All the staff, from the nurses, carers, administrators, cleaning staff and kitchen staff are excellent. The food is good with varied dishes that are changed every week. As a result of the superb care and support that she receives, my mother is settled and happy at Cloisters Care Home. My two brothers and I are all in agreement with this review.
Horrible service and care. They had problems at the start and have only gotten worse. They seem short-staffed or something and every mistake is met with well that wasn't me by every carer, and the management doesn't do anything about it. My father was in a home with some extra care and he felt they did a way better job than this lot, despite it not being adequate for him at all.
Cloisters Care Home is a beautifully presented home with very friendly and approachable staff who put care into everything. Highly recommend. My brother was so comfortable and happy while he was there. We were all so impressed with this facility.
My mum is very much more relaxed since being admitted to Cloisters Care Home. Her entire demeanour is very much improved. The staff are friendly and extremely supportive. We are very pleased with her overall care.
The manager was the best by far since my mother moved in in July 2015. Sadly left. All staff are caring and friendly with special mention of the carers and the nurse.
The care and support given to Mum are excellent. Staff are willing to support family members too. Mum is comfortable and well looked after.
Since my grandmother has been at Cloisters Care Home, she has been very relaxed and comfortable and seems happy to be here, which in turn makes us happy to see. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help.
I was kindly treated by all staff at Cloisters Care Home and treated with utmost dignity. My husband was well looked after and treated most respectfully. No faults at all.
My cousin has been a resident here for two and a half years, and I have always considered him to be very well cared for. They have also always been very kind to me.
Having had the devastating news about my father’s terminal illness, it was clear he was going to need specialist palliative care in the final stages of his life. All local care home managers we spoke with were brilliant - very helpful and very informative. We finally chose Cloisters Care Home where their team gave us a considerable amount of confidence about all aspects of his care. My father was at Cloisters for around ten weeks before he sadly passed away. He built a strong bond with all his carers and was provided with high levels of care, including emotional support. We were able to visit him frequently, all within Covid guidelines, allowing all of us, including his grandchildren, to spend precious time with him. The team at Cloisters gave my father something he always wanted to maintain – and that was his dignity. Even during the final moments after his passing, the level of professionalism and care shown by the team was incredible. We will be eternally grateful to everyone at Cloisters.
The minute you walk through the door and are met by the manager and her team the caring shows. My ex-husband went to Cloisters Care Home for palliative care. This was during the difficult time of Covid and lockdown. It was a hard time for everyone, staff, patients and families. The nursing staff were brilliant and made sure he got all the care needed. They helped him through all his little meltdowns with a smile on their face. We could phone anytime during the day or evening for updates and we were allowed to speak with him on the phone. When lockdown eased they made sure we got to visit him as often as was allowed. It was all well organised with rapid Covid tests before entering. When the sad time came to say goodbye to him, he and the family were all treated really well and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Even after he had passed the support from the manager and her team was really great. Thank you for making his last few months more bearable for him.
