View Full Details of Kingston Care HomeSadly my father in law only got to spend a short time here as he was very ill, when we visited to look over the home we got an immediate feeling that it was the best place for him. The manager was very nice and took us on a tour of the home to show us around nothing seemed to much trouble and he made sure we saw all areas of the home and facilities available. Whilst dad was a resident he was clean, comfortable and safe. The communication regarding dads health was very good. We were very happy with the staff all round and we were always greeted with friendliness and a smile. Thank you so much to the manager and his team for making dads last days as comfortable and dignified as possible.
Myself, my wife and family would like to thank the manager & his team at Kingston Care Home, for the outstanding quality of care our Mum/Nan is receiving. Our Mum was placed here at the end of last year, she has been in 2 previous homes where she was extremely unhappy & was not settling. Since being with the manager & his team, she has settled, she loves the carers, the food & the home in general. The service she is receiving is 2nd to none, the home is clean, the food is lovely and well presented, her needs are taken care of, she is treated with dignity & respect. She isn't the most easiest of people to please and can be quite challenging at times but the staff know how to deal with her on her bad days, calming her down & making her feel safe and comfortable again. There is always someone to speak to & we get regular updates. We honestly can't thank the manager and his team enough. We highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved 1.
Everyone at the home is fantastic from management to cleaners, I can't fault them.
I have always found the staff pleasant and welcoming. My friend is well looked after. She is neatly dressed and her hair washed. She has dementia and therefore needs close supervision when walking in the corridors. I am writing this on behalf of my friend.
My husband moved to the home four weeks ago as he was becoming unsafe at home. He was made welcome by each staff member. I know he calls me all the time but they are patient with him. He has a; already been taken to the National History Museum. If I go to visit and he is not in his room the carers always know where he is, if I take him out a carer comes to the car to lift the wheelchair into the care for me. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. Though he has had the hearing aids in the wrong ears sometimes.
My wife had a two-week stay and settled in very quickly thanks to the kind and supportive staff. She fairly rapidly started to eat in the dining room with other service users and I think she enjoyed the experience. She seems to have slept well although she rolled out of bed on one occasion. It was not obvious to me what sort of activities took place and I took her out a couple of times for singing events that we normally attend. The staff were helpful in ensuring she had supper, although she came back a few minutes late. I was slightly concerned about her clothes getting lost but in due course have reappeared. I was kept well-informed about how she was coping.
What a wonderful group of people working at Kingston Care Home. Warm, friendly and most importantly as the name suggests, they care! They treat my father like he is part of the family, with fondness, dignity and tenderness. The building too is a well-maintained, clean and fitting space for Dad to live out his twilight years!
Whole team at nursing home were exceptionally kind and caring for my husband. Thank you.
All staff are very friendly and caring. They are very supportive are respond to any request that is needed. They all have a very demanding job and cope with it very well.
My father has been in Kingston Care Home for about two years now. In that time he has been very settled and happy and felt very well cared for. The staff have always been very friendly to me and keep me well informed as to how my dad is doing. I couldn't have asked for a better place for my dad to be in.
I cannot thank Kingston Care Home enough for the consistent care given to my friend. She was always very well looked after, with her hair always brushed and clean, and her room was always spotless. The staff at Kingston Care Home, starting from one particular member of staff to the manager, was amazing. Thank you.
My dad came to the home at the end of last year after a sudden decline in health. We were, as a family, immediately taken in and welcomed. Dad got a good grooming and the world felt right again. The staff were always cheery, kind and very helpful. Dad became attached to a favourite mug and they would make sure it was kept topped up with tea. The nurses kept us informed of any changes in his health and the course of action they were taking. The room was clean, well-kept and felt homely. The management staff would always greet us when we were visiting and made themselves available if we needed to chat or ask questions. We were reassured while Dad was in their care and were able to enjoy the best quality time with him whilst they looked after him. A massive thank you to everyone at Kingston Care home.
Excellent care from Kingston Care Home. What a team! I never phone ahead to announce my visits but I always find my mother-in-law looking clean, well-groomed, often with the company of a member of staff. The food is given regularly and is very nutritious and suited to the needs of the elderly. The nursing staff are also excellent. Thank you Kingston, you are a happy staff who cares about the residents and even their visitors. I am always greeted by my name and with kindness.
My mother was a resident for nearly five years. She was very happy here and referred to it as her home. We always found the staff to be friendly, caring and kind. My mother was always well cared for and treated with the utmost respect.
I am Next of Kin to the Resident and can only visit occasionally. She has been in the home for getting on for two years and is now bed-bound unless the staff move her to a different location in her chair. She spends many days sleeping but when she is awake she enjoys talking about the experiences of her lifetime. She is always smartly dressed and well looked after.
My mother-in-law and uncle are both in the care home. They are being looked after well. The qualified nurses are excellent and knowledgeable and communicate with the family well. The carers are kind and approachable and always greet us with a smile. The food is of a very good standard and we are very happy with the overall care.
What a gem of a place this was for our short time at Kingston Care, we felt blessed to be there with it's excellent caring staff who were so gentle and professional in every way. So clean and tidy, even down to the front car park with not a trace of litter anywhere outside and beautifully kept gardens throughout. Staff seemed happy and content and so professional, a sense of calm and peace, well managed - never change, please!
Kingston Care Home is a wonderful place. Our experience of all staff, from the managers and amazing carers, through to the brilliantly creative activities team, the friendly cleaners and the home's hard-working gardener (the displays of plants and flowers always look lovely!), has only been positive. My mum has been a resident for a year now, and the care has been excellent, but equally, she has become part of a warm, welcoming community where residents and carers share friendly, first-name relationships, and everyone is treated not just with respect but with real affection. And that goes for families too! The weekly programme of fun social activities keeps everyone busy, and the special events the activities team arrange for key dates, and especially the parties they throw for residents' birthdays, are always enjoyed by everyone. The employees seem happy to be at Kingston Care Home, and the impressive level of staff retention reinforces this feeling. Thanks for everything, Kingston Care Home!
My friend spent the last few months of her life at Kingston Care. She was very well looked after here, in a nicely decorated room which was kept clean and tidy. We personalised her room with some of her pictures and ornaments. All the staff have been lovely - the manager, the lady on reception, the care assistants and of course the nurses. So grateful to you all.
Mum was resident here for just over a year. The staff were always kind, courteous, and respectful to not only Mum's needs, wishes, and desires but also to those of myself and my family. They became extended family and upon her health declining, her last days and hours were absolutely wonderful! Can't thank you all enough - we love you all.
