View Full Details of Barchester Lynde House Care HomeI feel comfortable + trust in the suitability of the care and content of the arranngement. I feel suitably supported by the staff.
I had a severe attack of norovirus - the winter vomiting bug - that left me with no energy to manage my own life. Barchester Lynde House Care Home, where I stayed for two weeks, helped me regain a lot of my strength and confidence so that, now I am back home, I am able to look after myself. It is very efficiently run, the staff are very professional as well as friendly, the range and variety of activities are challenging but fun to try and the meals were varied, well-presented and tasty. I would recommend it to anyone needing help with recovering from illness.
Amazing staff, especially top floor, who cared for my father and mother. One particular staff member - amazing. Reception staff amazing. Activities staff amazing. All very kind and caring.
The care team always impress me. Caring, hardworking and good natured. Not only those who look after my wife daily but those behind the scenes, cooking, cleaning, entertaining etc.
I have felt very comfortable with the staff and environment. Beautiful grounds of well-matured woodland.
Barchester Lynde House Care Home annual garden party, held July 20th, was a resounding success. The sun shone brightly in a beautiful blue sky overhead. Everyone at Lynde House worked hard as a team to make this special occasion. Such an enjoyable occasion. Delicious and plentiful food and drink, together with excellent entertainment, everyone had a lovely time. For me, the highlight of the day was seeing the residents surrounded by so many family and friends and Lynde House team. A big thank you everyone.
I have been living here, is very nice. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I am settling in very well and thank you.
I came here three weeks ago to recover from a cancer operation. I needed peace and quiet, good food and physiotherapy, all of which I received, resulting in my returning home this week, well on the way to a full recovery. I have found the food particularly good and have taken full advantage of the lovely 'full English' breakfasts. Every one of the staff has been enormously kind and helpful, encouraging me to take advantage of the social activities available. Particular thanks to one member of staff who came and fetched me down to join in.
Barchester Lynde House Care Home is top-class whenever I have been here.
Dad lives at Barchester Lynde House Care Home and is really very happy here. He settled in quickly and enjoys all that Lynde House has to offer. The food is his favourite, really high quality, amazing variety and always hot. The building is immaculate, the gardens beautiful and the staff are fantastic. I can't think of a single negative comment to make. Thank you all.
This is not a home where you will be sat all day in the dayroom, this is a home with humour and kindness where residents can age disgracefully! It is wonderfully interactive, personal and a joy to be in both as a resident and as a relative. The entertainment is varied and dynamic. The care is attentive and always available when required. Lynde House is an extension of our family home, the other residents and staff, now part of my family, who I care about. It is a lovely environment, a place to embrace adverse circumstances (e.g. Mum's stroke) and feel safe and content.
My mother has been in Lynde House permanently for a year. She has always been cared for exceptionally well. The carers/staff whether they are cleaners, medical practitioners, nurses or cooks always know what my mother's daily condition is. Whether she has participated in an activity, what she has eaten, who has visited and if she is happy. Everyone who works here knows her and cares about her.
I have been very happy here as a resident and find the staff, nurses and carers all lovely people looking after me. I could not be looked after better, and I feel I am at home.
I'm very happy here, and the staff are lovely.
My husband is very happy in Lynde House, which means that I can relax with that and the standard of care which he is receiving. In his own words - "the staff are like family, and I'm glad I'm here" (I think the latter may have been in response to the news on TV recently!.
Happiness is as happiness does!
Excellent end-of-life care for my mother. Personalised care. Support for those sitting by her bedside. Good pressure area care (air mattress, regular tuning with sliding sheets). Good mouth care, skin moisturised. Pain relief as required. Staff coming in to say their goodbyes. Staff sharing anecdotes about her 18 months with them, especially night staff. Like an extended family. She was so happy.
Excellent activities. Mum likes outside entertainers who sing.
I am still getting used to the experience of care home life after something like 40 years of living on my own. Therefore no comparisons are available of this kind of being cared for. No complaints at all. I would prefer to be young, fully mobile etc but things could be worse.
Mum has been very happy at Lynde House. She has loved the activities, especially the singing. The gardens are beautiful and we have spent many summer afternoons there. The nursing and care staff are amazing. They are so kind and caring and treat Mum with love and dignity. They are also so considerate of the family as Mum receives end-of-life care. The housekeeping, hospitality and maintenance staff always have a smile and kind words for Mum. The lounges and dining rooms are light, welcoming and very comfortable. The best care home I have seen.
