View Full Details of Manor Farm Care HomeIt was a great decision me and my dad made for him to be a permanent resident in Manor Farm Care Home we made it together it was important for my Dad to make the decision and he loves it in Manor Farm Care Home. He said the staff looks after him very well. My dad words any problems and my dad has it rectified straight away. My dad is happy and so am I. Thanking all the staff for the care you give my Dad and continue to do so.
Very satisfactory experience.
My mother has been at Manor Farm Care for 3 years and she had a really bad experience at a previous home. When she moved to Manor Farm, her life change was complete, she was happier than before and Mum feels more secure in all aspects. The management and staff are brilliant there, I had experienced it in the past but I couldn't believe it. Mum now has dementia and has many complex needs, but even then she has been treated with so much care, kindness and generosity of spirit. This is a testament to all staff from management, nursing, catering and reception, that my mum is still here. Thanks.
My father-in-law was admitted to Manor Farm Care Home on Friday the 24th of May at 5:30 pm. Sadly he had a very restless night and passed away in the early hours of Saturday the 25th of May despite all of the efforts of the staff and ambulance service. He was 99 years old! So although he did not experience the life he would have had at Manor Farm, I wanted to complete this review as my son and I were so impressed with the staff, care and management. His room, the dining area and the residents' lounge were perfect. So, thank you everyone and I'm only sorry that he did not get to experience it himself. He would have loved it and we know he would have been cared for by those amazing staff. Thank you!
Staff are excellent but the food is not appetising and hot.
Manor Farm Care Home has a very welcoming team staff from management to nurses, cooks and the cleaning team. All have made great efforts to make the residents feel at home, from decorations to make the care home feel like "home environment" to taking time to learn about the resident, likes and dislikes. We were apprehensive of my nan moving into a care home, her room is very spacious and clean. She is given lots of encouragement especially in meals and medication and reassurance as the dementia progresses that she is safe. Staff have built a good working relationship with the family for regular updates and review meetings. Thank you to the staff at Manor Farm.
The Christmas party was very good today. It was very well organised. The singer was very good and sang a variety of festive tunes which many of the residents could respond to. Using two rooms, one for food and one for music was a good idea.
My mother has been in Manor Farm Care Home for the past seventeen/eighteen months and during that time, she has blossomed. All the staff, whatever their job or status, treat her like a queen! These people are true angels.
The manager is very helpful and reassuring. Would come back. Staff are friendly and amazing, would explain everything and I felt my mother had very good care all the time. This is the first time I have left my mother and this has also helped me with my mental health. Thank you.
Overall great facility, however since the beginning of the stay my mother not only got out of the premises without staff knowing, she got out a further 2 more times and the last time she was gone, coming up to an hour. There have also been changes to prevent this from happening again which has happened which is satisfactory and the staff are brilliant. There’s a handful of staff members who go up and above than what they are supposed to do but then there’s a handful who are rude arrogant and constantly glued to their mobile phones. Going on to the care plan overall is fair, it’s just the food that isn’t up to standard considering my mums a fussy eater and I’ve repeatedly told management and her floor's head nurse of the things that she can and can not eat. They are completely overlooking this and carry on serving her beige food which has no nutritional value.
Nothing good to say about home at all. Laundry is a failure, clothing items constantly go missing. Not a single phone call to inform on my day/resident of the day of how my family member is doing. Staff are reluctant to provide information regarding your own family member. Do not see any activities no matter what time of day I visit. Lack of clear communication between units.
On arrival at Manor Farm Care Home, I noticed there is a car park, which where to my surprise a nice gentleman kindly explained the parking procedure. On entering the building I was quickly approached by a member of staff who kindly took me to my friend. When I was visiting I find all staff I was in contact with to be very friendly and polite. I have visited my friend at various care homes and Manor Farm has left a lasting impression.
Since the end of lockdown, we have seen a continuous improvement in the fabric of the building, facilities and activities and look forward to seeing how this all continues to develop. A monthly update on the activities provides would be welcomed. Staff are always attentive and friendly.
I would like to pass on my deepest regards to all the staff at Manor Farm for the care they gave our mother whilst she was under their charge. They were loving, caring, and professional at all times. they looked after our mother as if she was their own and I cannot give any negative comments about her care. Thank you all for your hard work and efforts towards our mother.
Thank you so much for the kindness all the staff gave my brother-in-law and me. He spent a happy ten months in Manor Farm care home until he passed away. The staff always had time for him, the food always looked lovely, and the staff always informed me if there were any problems and reassured me. I would definitely recommend Manor Farm to any family having to find a care home for their loved ones.
Very friendly staff. Most welcoming. Very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Food is very good.
Thank you so much to the wonderful management and all the staff at Manor Farm Care Home. You are very kind, patient and passionate about your work and very professional.
I'm many miles away but always phone my sister every day but had a Skype call booked for Christmas Day which we were both looking forward to as it's the only way I can see her. After waiting on the line for the call to start I phoned the home and was told: "no one knows how to do a Skype call." To say how upset I felt was an understatement and my sister was also so looking forward to the call as other members of the family were also going to be online as well, which we were hoping would be a lovely start to the day for her. Why take bookings for Skype calls if no one knows how to do them?
Staff are always caring and obliging, often under great pressure. Especially welcoming from the activities coordinator.
Staff are very helpful and help when necessary.
