View Full Details of Barchester Park View Care HomeMy Mother and Father, both at varying degrees of Alzheimers/Dementia were placed in this amazing care home for respite for 1 month. When social services tried to force us to move them to a cheaper home for permanent residency I fought them all the way. My daughter and I and their previous full time Carer visited a lot of care homes in the area and found them wholly unsuitable. This is without a doubt the best place for them to be. I never want them to be moved from here.
We are very happy with my aunt's care, staff are very lovely. We are always kept up to date with my aunt and they are always there if we need to talk. We cannot thank you all enough for the care that you all give my aunt.
An excellent care home and is highly recommended which provides a good standard of care to all its residents. The staff are polite and professional, always take on board any concerns you may have and do their best to resolve it. There are a range of activities which they actively encourage the residents to participate in. Yes, we are pleased with the care given to our relative. I also admire the variety of plants and flowers at the front and back of the building, it's absolutely beautiful.
In the two years that my aunt has been in here we have had no problems. We are always kept up to date with any treatment or procedures. The staff are all very pleasant and welcoming. On the occasion of her 100th birthday the home put on a wonderful time for her. There are lots of activities and outings arranged. There is always a nice family atmosphere.
It is never easy taking the decision to place a relative in a care home but my father is well looked after and cared for. I especially appreciate how so many of the carers know so much about my dad and go out of their way to pay attention to the little things that help my dad who has late-stage dementia. There are some very special carers and staff at Barchester Park View Care Home! Thank you.
My son has been at Barchester for 3 years. He has an incurable disease and over his time at the home, his condition has gradually deteriorated as we knew it would. We can't thank the staff and management enough for all they do for my son. Not only my son but myself as well as they like to include the relatives in the activities that they do. We have been on some lovely day trips like the canal boat trip. We have also been on holidays to a holiday resort with the home. I go to the home every week and there is always something going on for the residents. Once again many thanks to all the staff for all they do to help my son.
My brother has been at Barchester Park View Care Home for a year now. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Care staff have shown a lot of patience with my brother as he can be very challenging sometimes. The home has an excellent standard of care and is very clean, pleasant and well-run. Nurses and manageress are very approachable and ready to help.
I regularly visit my mum and am always impressed with the care and love shown by all carers. My mum is very happy living in this care home and is very well cared for. All the facilities are excellent and there is always something going on for the residents. The food and cleanliness is 100% as is the security and maintenance. I would always recommend Park View, Dagenham to anyone looking for a good care home for their loved one.
My husband came for respite for the third time now. I will only put him in Barchester Park View Care Home. All welcoming, manager is very nice and helpful. Very clean and tidy home. My husband is very happy here and joins in all activities and they have the best team at Park View. Thank you to the manager. Park View should be proud.
My stepdad was very well loved and looked after by all the staff and treated with respect and dignity by members of staff, I am grateful and pleased that his time here was happy although only for a short time and the unexpected passing of my stepdad once again I thank all the staff for their care.
My grandad was very happy at the care home and was well looked after. Staff were so helpful and couldn’t have done any more for him. Always kept him busy and he enjoyed the food.
My mum has been in Park View Care Home for 6 months. I was very nervous to put her in care, but all the staff very quickly took my nerves and doubts away. The staff are excellent, polite and friendly (especially in Oak 3). Always treated us with respect and always happy to answer our questions. Many thanks to all of you!
In the short stay of three weeks, our mother was well looked after by the carers and nurses. We appreciated the care and support given to us in Mum's final days.
I have always been extremely thankful for the care the staff at Parkview have provided my sister over the years. They’ve always treated her kindly and with dignity. Every resident is made to feel special, and visitors are warmly greeted on arrival. My father could not thank them enough for the care and assistance provided to her over the last fifteen years. Thank you, Parkview staff and management.
As a family, we were very reluctant for our dad to be in residential care. The staff in his unit (Oaks 1) have made this time much easier with the care and commitment they have shown to him and our family. Even when walking through the corridors, carers, nurses, and other employees know my dad's name; this means a great deal to us. Park View also have an amazing activity team.
I was invited to go out with my father to a garden centre. It was the first time out with my father in about a year. We had a wonderful afternoon. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much. The patience and kindness they showed to all of us was out of this world. Barchester Park View Care Home, one of the activities coordinators and the maintenance manager deserve a medal for all that they do for the residents.
The staff are excellent at Park View caring, kind, considerate and respectful.
As a general review, I am very pleased with all that happens at Park View from the management to all areas of activity. I want to draw attention to outstanding support from the home. My mother was 100 years of age on 14/05/23. A week before she was invited to see The Coronation on a large screen with VIP hospitality. On Friday the home was visited by over 50 schoolchildren to send handmade cards. On the day the home arranged for the family to use the visitor's lounge and garden for a private party and then we joined the other residents and staff for a party and entertainment.
We are very happy with Park View. It's clean, friendly and always a warm welcome. Our mum has settled well. The food is great, with lots of choices.
All staff, kitchen, carers and reception always say hello to me. Carers are attentive to residents and treat them with understanding, patience and care. I like that residents are free to wander around the reception area so that they are stimulated by visitors. Residents are clean and the home never smells. The menu is on display and seems varied and appropriate to the age group but I can't comment on the quality as I have not experienced this. The activities are varied and displayed.
