View Full Details of Barchester Southgate Beaumont Care CommunityThe staff and all concerned treated me with kindness and care. Always there was a smile and offers of help if I needed it. I was here for 2 weeks post surgery and needed to be looked after and I was admirably. Thank you to you all for your help, professionalism but most of all kindness.
My mother just died but I think she had one of the happiest years of her life at the Barchester Southgate Beaumont Care Community. She was a quirky, unusual, outspoken and authentic person but she learnt them and they learnt her and she experienced wonderful belonging and love. She joined in every activity, from the art lectures, book group, exercise, quizzes, residents' meetings, fairs, film nights, social drinks and surprisingly, thoroughly enjoyed menopause sessions. She made beautiful friendships with residents and staff and I have so many happy memories at the Beaumont, using their stunning grand rooms and gardens for our families' birthday events. Even karaoke was ok! I can't thank the manager and the team enough for all their patience, creativity, attention, care and love!
This care home is exceptional, the guided tour of the home before my mother went was very informative with a guided tour of the home and facilities being included. After the visit, our minds were made up that this was the home for our mum. The level of care by the care team is second to none, nothing is ever too much trouble. Thank you. The building is amazing and very well looked after with high standards of cleaning and hygiene at all times. Food, great choice with very good quality. Thank you to everyone at the home, your efforts, love and care are much appreciated. Thank you all.
My mum was admitted to Barchester Southgate Beaumont Care Community on 10th May 2024 for end-of-life care. I was with her every day and the second week was sleeping there too, next to Mum. Even though we were in beautiful surroundings, what made it so special was the staff. Everyone, absolutely everyone, was caring, attentive to Mum, supportive to me and the rest of the family. I have never experienced such love and true care from everyone. I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my broken heart for being there for us.
From start to end, our families experience at the Barchester Southgate Beaumont Care Community was outstanding. Not only were my grandmother's last days/weeks made comfortable and unforgettable, each member of our family was made to feel just as important. The quality of staff was amazing and something we will cherish forever.
My 97-year-old mother-in-law has now been at Southgate Beaumont for some months. Throughout this time, she has been very well cared for by skilled, friendly and supportive staff. As a relative, when visiting, I always feel welcomed and a 'part of things’, the atmosphere feels warm and upbeat. Our three adult children have all expressed a similar level of positivity following their visits to Grandma. My mother-in-law has never really been one to join in with groups but at Southgate Beaumont she is gently encouraged to take part in some of the varied range of interesting activities available, organised by the very involved, caring and pro-active activities coordinator. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Southgate Beaumont to potential families (and indeed have done so only today!)
My mother, aged 97, was admitted to The Southgate Beaumont Care Home on 16th October 2023 having fallen and broken her hip and being unable to return home. Her care at the home has been exemplary both in the nursing sense and the emotional support she has received. Despite being mainly bedbound she has been free of pressure sores and any medical complaint has been dealt with swiftly and efficiently. The staff are, without exception, caring, friendly and helpful and the home is run extremely efficiently by manager. The food is excellent. There are a number of varied social activities that take place daily, organised by the ever-enthusiastic co-ordinator and the atmosphere of the nursing home is one of good cheer and warmth. As a retired social worker, I have over the years visited scores of residential/nursing homes and I can honestly say Southgate Beaumont is the best I have come across. I cannot recommend the nursing home highly enough.
Beaumont is beautiful from home to home, my mum is currently staying at Beaumont and she is made so welcome and comfortable. Even though she has language difficulties the staff are all extremely happy to help Mum all the time. Cleaning her and keeping her room very clean and tidy. All the staff and the nurses are very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend Beaumont Home for the elderly.
I spent a very happy fortnight at Barchester Southgate Beaumont recovering from a hip replacement operation. I find the staff helpful and friendly, the food just right and the activity sessions interesting and enjoyable. Southgate Beaumont engages an excellent physiotherapist. I enjoyed chatting to the residents.
My dad received 'end of life' care until his passing on Christmas Day. During his brief stay, Dad was very well looked after by the team of carers and nurses at Southgate Beaumont. Credit must go to the general manager for her leadership and having a great team working with her including the deputy manager, one of the key nurses, and of course the activities coordinator. I was ever present during Dad's stay, working on my laptop in a lounge adjacent to his room, which I know was of great comfort to Dad. The home is beautiful, clean and well-maintained by the cleaners and maintenance staff. Though Dad was unable to eat very much, food prepared by the chef was of a very high standard. In summary, Dad received a high level of care from a great team of professionals who really did care about Dad's well-being and who were always open to suggestions and ways in which they could improve the care given. I would have no hesitation in recommending Southgate Beaumont.
Very pleased with the staff, care and cleanliness of the home. I am a frequent user and enjoy engaging with other residents and staff who are always warm and very welcoming. Management is always available if needed.
I have been associated with Southgate Beaumont for over 15 years; almost 5 whilst my aunt was a resident, subsequent years as volunteer assisting with activities. Throughout this time, the high quality of care and the sense of well-being in very pleasant surroundings has been maintained.
Great manager and brilliant staff who are caring and professional, beautiful building, well kept with lovely gardens and trees - activities well co-ordinated. Nice location and handy row of shops, cafes and post office across the road in "village" type Southgate Green.
It is the second time that my wife has needed to enter Beaumont. If we had cause to complain we wouldn't have returned the second time. If I had problems I acknowledge that I would readily approach management/staff to remedy them. Overall a pleasant as can-be (under the circumstances) experience and atmosphere within the home. Appreciated by both my wife, family and I. Thank you. I have no experience in comparing the value for money aspect.
Southgate Beaumont is a beautiful, clean, well-maintained home. It is a place where residents are valued. Families are made to feel welcome and part of the home. The staff are genuinely positively engaged in the care they give and feel pride and value in what they do and why they are there. My mother often told us how well she felt cared for and how all the staff were kind to her. The activities coordinator holds and knows each and every one of the residents. She relates to them with so much genuine dignity and brings their past and present lives to life. The physiotherapists were not only clinically excellent but also so kind, gentle and compassionate. The chef was wonderful. The general manager is visible and personally knows the residents her team are caring for. The management team constantly seek to learn and improve services for the residents and families they care for. What a wonderful place. Thank You.
My mother is a resident of Beaumont. She was diagnosed with cancer after briefly feeling unwell. Sadly it was too late for any kind of treatment. Given her rapid decline and sudden loss of independence, I was glad to find a beautiful and spacious room available at Beaumont for her to receive the nursing care she needs. She has settled in very well. The staff are kind, caring and cheerful! The food is very good and I am happy and relieved that Mum is in good hands in a safe place when I am not there. I visit every day and know most of the staff by name. They are kind and caring to me as well! Beaumont feels like my home now as this is where my mum is. It is a lovely place to arrive at each day and it doesn’t feel like a depressing care home. Although my mum is too ill to participate in the activities, I see there are plenty of residents here who enjoy the variety of amusements available. There are too many staff to mention all by name but they all have my and mum’s sincerest gratitude.
I had no previous experience looking at care homes before my mum became unwell. When we came to look around Beaumont we found a beautiful building, with lovely facilities including a nicely laid dining room and a lounge adjoining a library. Since my mum has come here to live we have found the care and attention to be of a very good standard. The staff are always friendly and ready to help. I cannot fault anything. If I am feeling a bit low someone is always ready with a hug. I would highly recommend it.
My partner came to Southgate Beaumont Care Community for end-of-life care. His care by all the nurses, carers and cleaning staff was excellent. They treated him with care and consideration for the weeks he has with them. I cannot thank them enough.
First class care home. Fantastic grade II building with beautiful interiors. All staff are very professional and caring. The general manager conducted a pre-assessment at home out of hours, on the weekend, at very short notice. The nursing staff kept me informed of residents' health and nursing needs continually and could not be more accommodating. The chef would prepare any meal resident wished, although the daily menu was excellent. The room overlooked beautiful grounds with all the required facilities. Would not hesitate to use this care home again, if the need arises.
I have been more than satisfied with the care and attention my mother gets in the home. Her room is spacious and comfortable and she is well looked after. Her meals are quite adequate for her needs and I am kept up to date on her condition and situation on a regular basis. My personal dealings have always been on a helpful and understanding basis, as I live 300 miles away from the home. In short, I would recommend this home to anyone.
