View Full Details of Vicarage FarmI just wanted to add that the care my wife has had has been top-class. Everyone was so helpful and cheerful. My wife is confined to bed but there are so many activities for the other residents. First class care home.
My mum has now been in the nursing home for just over a year. The care she has received has been amazing. It's always daunting putting a loved one into the care of others, but I have had no concerns in the year my mum has been at Vicarage Farm. She is always clean and smiling, and whenever she sees the nurses and carers, she is smiling ear to ear and is so happy to see them which gives me great peace of mind. The home is always clean and tidy, as is my mum's room. There are always activities and things happening when we go to visit, and they are super inclusive of all special dates within the year. The staff have treated me and my husband with the utmost care and are always super friendly and happy to answer any questions. The manager always has time to give updates on my mum and is always so pleasant to talk to! I appreciate everything the home has done for my mum and her family and know that this good care will continue.
My mother is a patient here and I must say that the service and care given here is excellent. Lovely clean place with friendly staff who are very attentive. My mum's blood sugar was a challenge to control since being at Vicarage Farm Nursing Home significantly improved within a month. The activities are outstanding and the management team are fantastic. Appreciate everything you have done for my mum, thank you.
My uncle has been living in the nursing home since April 2017. There has been significant improvement made over the past four years, which is a credit to the owners and staff. All staff are very friendly, and they care about the residents.
Pleasant, clean and good environment. Friendly staff with a smile. Excellent care.
Very friendly, happy staff. Extremely clean. Nice surroundings, food and meals. Would like to go on the waiting list!
We have seen and experienced many facilities of care for my father and quite simply none of them can remotely compare with the level of care at Vicarage Farm. The level of compassion that is evident in each and every staff member clearly stems from the management, all the way through the whole team. We are very fortunate to be with them and in their hands.
The service and level of care of my elderly neighbour have been exceptional. His comfort and well-being have been their priority. The team have also been proactive in keeping me updated with his progress. Highly recommend.
Lovely home, welcoming and personable staff. My relative seems content and well cared for, giving me peace of mind.
Great care home. Good carers, but some language barriers. Outdoor trips take place (before covid) and indoor activities are good. When taken to the main lounge room, the doors are left open, leading to many items going missing. The car park has two disabled bays, but are used by staff and others without showing blue badges, making visiting sometimes a problem. Dealing great with covid visiting and testing.
It has been so lovely to see how settled my nan has been since she came to Vicarage Farm in October 2021. All the staff have been so warm and welcoming, especially when I have brought my own children to visit my nan.
In my opinion, putting a relative into care is one of the hardest things one will ever have to do. However, we certainly won the lottery in terms of the level of support, kindness and care, which my elderly mother has received since her admittance to Vicarage Farm. From the management, through to the medical staff and of course, my mother's personal carers, an atmosphere of professionalism and friendliness is always evident by all. It is so reassuring to always know she is being treated not only as a patient, but with the dignity and respect, she deserves as a loving individual.
Dad has settled well into Vicarage Farm. He has been in a few other care homes and also in hospital, but Vicarage Farm is the first place he has really settled and seemed content. The home is kept very clean and there are always events going on to keep the residents stimulated. The staff do a fantastic job and always make us feel very welcome. The manager manages the home very well.
My husband has received excellent care for his complex needs. Vicarage Farm is run with consideration to each resident's needs. Activities are offered as is a varied menu. The understanding of the staff is paramount and given willingly and caringly.
We have been very pleased with the care and service Vicarage Farm Care Home has provided for our father over the last two years. How they took extra care and put protocols in place to make sure all residents and staff were looked after during covid. I would definitely recommend the care home to friends and family who may need care.
My husband has been a resident in Vicarage Far care home for 18-months. In my opinion, he is well cared for, and I have no complaints. However, I have no experience of the activities or food because of visiting restrictions due to Covid. I feel that the staff understand my husband's problems (Dementia) and care for him accordingly. He is in a very safe environment.
My wife, who has fairly advanced young-onset Alzheimer's Dementia was admitted to Vicarage Farm following nearly 3-months in a specialist mental health unit due to her challenging behaviours. The staff made her feel very welcome, at home and loved right from her initial arrival. She still has a lot of agitation and sometimes very challenging behaviour but all the staff are excellent and can use their vast experience to get her calm and settled again. The feel of the home and all the staff is very much of a family type, very caring setting. Which is led by the owners and a very caring management team. I visit many care homes in my working life and there are few that match the homely, comforting, caring and loving environment that is in place at Vicarage Farm. I can't recommend it highly enough.
I find the staff very good, they treat dad with great kindness.
My sister has early-onset dementia and has required care for the past five years. Her behaviour when she first went to Vicarage Farm was quite challenging, requiring several members of staff to care for her needs. Throughout her time there, my sister has always been treated with professionalism and affection by the staff and it has been very reassuring to see my sister’s beaming smiles when given cuddles or having her hands stroked. While her needs have changed over time, the managers have always been open to suggestions about ways we could enrich her life, including allowing her family to take her on outings outside the home. When I visit, I am always welcomed warmly by staff, offered a drink and advised how my sister has been. I am regularly invited to events held at the home, which are very diverse and have enjoyed the food provided by the catering staff. The home has recently been completely refurbished and looks bright and welcoming. Thank you Vicarage Farm for all you do.
My father has been a resident for over a year, he has severe Alzheimer's. The home is well run, very organized and efficient. More importantly, the staff have an abundance of patience, compassion and are deeply caring for the residents. They build genuinely close relationships with the residents and this is wonderful to see. My father has been very well looked after, he arrived underweight after a stay in hospital, they attended to his dietary needs and he soon gained weight. They kept him safe and over time he has grown to feel this is his home. I would recommend this home as a caring, professional establishment and I trust the quality of care provided.
