View Full Details of Villa Maria Nursing HomeMy brother had been at the care home for over a year and feels safe and secure. The staff are always friendly and supportive and the home is very clean. My mother and I have also experienced some of the entertainment, which we found very enjoyable. I would recommend to anyone.
My brother has only been at Villa Maria a short time but I have found the staff very approachable and answered all my questions with regard to his care plan. All staff are pleasant to deal with and polite.
Although my father wasn't at Villa Maria very long, I was so happy with the care he received, every day I came in and every day he was in fresh bed linen. Everyone referred to him by name, a small thing but I think important. When admitted the staff wanted to know as much as possible to make his stay as comfortable as possible, such as favourite foods and drinks. And when he passed away all staff showed genuine care for him and us as we grieved.
I have my younger brother as a resident at Villa Maria South Croydon. I found the home and staff to be very professional, caring, polite and sympathetic. I feel my brother's needs are being met to a very high standard. This has been a great relief to all our family. Thank you.
Villa Maria staff always make us feel very welcome, nothing is too much trouble for them. We know that Mum is well looked after and genuinely cared for.
My daughter has been here for over two years. I have never had any complaints regarding her care.
Sometimes very difficult to speak with residents at the weekend. Staff are cheerful and helpful. Admin staff do address concerns or issues swiftly. Housekeeping of rooms is hit-and-miss on visits. Home offers a variety of activities for the residents.
My husband was here for twelve years after a stroke which left him speechless and with no movement on one side. Sadly, he passed away in January. The staff were lovely to me and my daughter, some coming to the funeral and wake. I always found staff to be very good, very patient in working out what he wanted as he couldn't use a computer and only had one hand and facial expressions by which to communicate. He always looked neat and tidy. He was happy there. Activities take place each week and concerts occasionally. In the warmer weather, there is access to the garden. I always felt very welcome and included in his care arrangements as did other family members. Even now, the home keeps in touch with me which I appreciate as over the years it had become my second home.
Villa Maria Nursing Home is a fantastic nursing home, as it not only brings everyone together but has that kind atmosphere with everyone that works there as well. My dad was in Villa for a while and they treated him so well, he loved it.
Villa Maria Nursing Home has a homely and relaxed feel. Residents are well cared for in a professional and respectful manner. Staff are always cheerful, friendly and accommodating. Activities are provided on a daily basis.
My mum has had respite in Villa Maria Nursing Home a couple of times now. It's the best care home my mum has been to for her respite. The staff go over and above for all the residents. They do their daily jobs as well as entertain the residents daily with all sorts of activities. The manager is lovely and does as much as she can to ensure all residents are happy and cared for. The standards are very high. They care for each one of their residents whether they are there permanently or just for respite. As soon as you walk in, there is a happy atmosphere, also it is very clean. My mum is on level 5 with food. They made sure all my mum's needs regarding eating and drinking were met. My mum didn't feed herself when she went in, with their help and encouragement, when my Mum came home she was feeding herself. Now, when my mum has respite, I ask for Villa Maria due to the excellent care they give everyone in there.
The staff are professional, friendly and well conversed with knowledge. The staff, the care manager and the receptionist are so amazing and true to the cause of caring for your loved one. They are on hand at any time of the day to help you with any concerns you may have regarding your loved one. My mum is always clean, tidy and well cared for. Her bedding is always clean, along with her room and surroundings. Overall, a very safe, welcoming environment for your loved one to be placed in. A jewel in a crown amongst a crowded profession. I'm really proud to write this review on behalf of Villa Maria Nursing Home as it has come from my heart, it is been a really difficult time for our loved one and family members but Villa Maria has helped us through this difficult process.
The staff at Villa Maria Nursing Home are so kind and caring. They treat their residents like family. My grandmother was very comfortable during her stay at Villa Maria and she liked all the staff members. She always looked clean and well cared for. She was repositioned regularly and assisted with her meals and medication. During self care the door was always closed to maintain my Grandma's privacy. The staff members were so friendly and accommodating. They were always smiling, laughing and joking around with my Grandma. My family never had any fears or concerns about mistreatment. We were always made to feel welcome. The room was spacious and warm. The main door has a security lock so intruders couldn't enter the building. There were activities in the lounge area though unfortunately my Grandma was unable to attend for medical reasons. I would recommend Villa Maria to anyone who has a loved one in need of extra care and support. Such a warm loving environment.
I’m happy to a degree, I think they are short of staff but the staff that are there try their very best to provide the care that’s necessary so I’m truly grateful. It’s always very clean and they liaise with me very well which is very important.
Mum was admitted to Villa Maria Nursing Home from hospital after breaking her hip and becoming unable to walk and with hypoactive dementia, at the age of 92. The attentive care she received from all staff couldn't have been bettered. The admin staff were always available and gave useful advice on taking Mum out, especially for her birthday. The activities and events held at the Villa were lovely and it was so nice to take Mum into the beautiful garden, English weather permitting. After Mum unfortunately died with the tenderest care from her nursing attendants; the staff were so helpful. They even helped to find a venue for her wake.
It is always a pleasure to visit my sister at Villa Maria Nursing Home. She's very settled there and the family are made to feel welcome. I'm kept up to date with any health issues my sister may have.
I am relieved to see that my sister is being well cared for. The staff are all so friendly and natural. They take time to listen to the patients, seeing to their individual needs. Everyone, if they wish to, is included in the many activities which are organised, patients are encouraged to join in but if they wish to sit and observe they can do. My sister always looks clean, hair brushed etc. She couldn't be in a better place!
Mum had been admitted from Hospital via Merton Council as I was unable to continue caring for her. During her time at Villa Maria, she was always treated with kindness, love and respect. She was always very clean and tidy. She enjoyed being fussed over. Sadly, her condition deteriorated and she died in August 2022. Fortunately, I was with her along with some of the girls who cared for her. They showed her the dignity and kindness in death as they did in life. They were incredibly supportive to me and my brother and even came to Mum's funeral. Everyone from the manager to staff members made us feel welcome and were very friendly when we visited mum. I'm so glad mum ended her days here. She couldn't have been in better care. Thank you all so very much.
The staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming. They have made my dad feel at home and are very accommodating when I visit. The facilities are good and lots of activities for the residents to partake in. When moving into the care home the staff were very helpful and supportive, making the process stress-free. Nothing is too much and I'm confident my dad is in safe and caring hands.
My aunt was admitted to Villa Maria Nursing Home in December 2022 and although the building is not the most modern this is made up by the excellent caring staff. From management to the Sisters, Nurses and the Carers all so welcoming and caring not just to my aunt but myself too. Thank you Villa Maria Nursing Home.
