My mother was admitted in November 2023 at Woodland Hall Care Home in Stanmore. I was very upset, because it is too far from my place and I was not able to visit her often due to my health condition. I am visiting her once a month and not upset anymore, because I see each time my Mother is looked after very well, with clean clothes, nice bed, good food. It is a very good care home, pleasant atmosphere, clean and nice, very kind carers and helpfu management.
My husband was admitted in September he was in a very bad state of health in and out of hospital regularly after many infections wasn't eating or drinking and losing weight etc. Within days with the wonderful care received at Woodland Hall he regained his appetite, good health and is looking and feeling much better the nurses carers and managers are terrific. I am so delighted with everything they do they even help me as my mobility is poor. The rooms are spotlessly clean and there is a comfortable reception where free coffee, tea etc are provided along with cake and popcorn. You just could not ever ask for more. The medical attention is excellent, a doctor visits regularly and they even get a doctor any time of night if they feel it might be necessary. Every member of staff, nurses, carers, cleaners, reception and managers are extremely polite, friendly and helpful. They keep me well informed about any changes that may occur. I could never ask for a better place for my dear husband to be.
I can not put into words how amazing Woodlands Care Home in Stanmore is. The staff are incredible, each and every one of them is warm, friendly and caring. They always have a smile on their face and interact in such a lovely way with my father. The facilities and the professionalism of the staff is the best I have ever seen and my father has come on leaps and bounds since being there. I am so assured that he is there and in the most caring environment. There are constant activities and entertainment every day, which has enabled my father to build confidence and meet new friends among the staff and residents. The facilities are amazing and the room's cosy and relaxing. The tables fully made up with table wear and delicious meals every day, catering to all diets and tastes. I truly can not praise Woodland Hall, the management, staff and facilities enough. I am so thankful for this place and the hard work the team put in. They seem to work together like family. 10/10!
My father came to Woodland Hall in September for end-of-life palliative care. He was extremely well looked after by all of the team here who went above and beyond for him and for us as a family. We were able to spend the last few weeks of our dad's life knowing he was so well cared for by the nurses and the deputy manager, who were exceptional! Thank you also to another specific staff member who was always so friendly and kind. Always a smile on their face, they genuinely cared for Dad and were there to support him and us through a very tough time. The care home is lovely and the surrounding grounds where we could sit with Dad. The friendly receptionists who would ask us how we were daily and to all of the staff here who cared for my father Thank you from the bottom of our hearts you made my dad's last few weeks of his life comfortable, dignified and cared for with such kindness you're all amazing!
Dad hasn't been at Woodland Hall for long, but so far the staff have been courteous and informative. Dad seems settled and I think the calm and peacefulness at Woodland Hall will suit him better. He is always clean and tidy, well put together.
I was very happy with the overall care of my father-in-law. The staff and management were always attentive and courteous and his room was well-maintained. Despite suffering from dementia, my father-in-law was very happy there, until his recent passing. Thank you.
Just wanted to say, how the staff looked after me, nothing was too much trouble, showed empathy. I was transferred from a local hospital, I had total hip replacement, mobility very poor, two weeks in hospital then transferred for rehab at Woodland Hall. Physiotherapy team excellent, really got me motivated to do all the exercises which were hard. Twice a day Physio so was very busy. I want to thank them very much. Waiting now for community physio but I am doing the exercises now at home after just over two weeks at Woodland Hall.
Everyone here has been so cheerful, caring and totally efficient. The rooms are kept clean too. The food is good and quite enough for the residents. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, there is a pamper time and to see the smiles on all the ladies' faces was great. Year 10 girls came in for work experience and it was a complete success. How lovely is it that people who have suffered from bad health etc. should experience this wonderful care home. Thank you to everyone.
My mum had to be admitted here for rehabilitation, after spending 2 months in the hospital. From the moment my mum entered the building, she was warmly welcomed by the staff members. Everyone who was directly involved with my mum's care was professional and continued to encourage my mum providing her lots of support, but also to us as a family. There aren't enough words to express just how happy we all are! Even staff members who weren't involved with my mum's care provided such a lovely environment to be in, during such a stressful time. My mum had spent days in the hospital feeling low, not knowing what the next steps of her journey would be like; it's heartwarming to meet amazing staff who brought my mum's smile back! Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful and helpful support you've provided during her stay! The facility was amazing, filled with plenty of beautiful sceneries and also amazing daily activities held by the lifestyle coordinators! Thank you so much for everything.
Staff care and attention - excellent. Room shabby, no bedside lights, no waste bun, no accessible plugs.
Cannot fault Woodland Hall at all. My dad was in there from July '21 to Jan '24 until he sadly passed away. There was always a lovely atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly and I can not fault the care he received from the day and night staff. The nurses would also keep you well informed on visits or by phone on his health. It was lovely to see on visits how very happy my dad was there.
The care my uncle received at Woodland Hall was absolutely outstanding. The room was lovely, the food great and the staff were all friendly and professional. You couldn’t wish for a better place to be. My uncle was in over the Christmas period and the staff really went out of their way to ensure that the residents had a good time. Just fabulous!
My mum was sent from the hospital for rehabilitation. I want to offer my deepest gratitude to each one of you for the selfless care and unwavering support you provided to my mum during her time at the care home. Your dedication, kindness, and compassion made her difficult days more bearable and brought comfort to both her and our family. Despite the challenges my mum faced, your team went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being. Your patience, gentleness, and attentiveness did not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for the love and attention you showered upon her, especially during moments of pain and discomfort. Your commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive environment truly made a difference in her life. Knowing that she was in such caring hands brought us immense peace of mind during a challenging time.
The staff are very friendly. The building itself needs brightening up and redecoration work.
I am writing this on behalf of my husband. We both agree that his care in Woodland Hall was excellent and the staff went out of their way to ensure his safety. The staff were very caring and efficient and also very helpful to me when I visited. He had a lovely room which was kept very clean. The food which was cooked on the premises was tasty and very well presented.
I cannot fault the staff. The nurses are excellent as well as the care staff. The rehab team, I found, distant and rude, simple lack of politeness were missing. However, all other staff have been professional, kind and emphatic. I would recommend this home to anyone who needs it.
I have been a resident at Woodland Hall Care Home in Stanmore Middlesex for ten years now and have been looked after extremely well. My thanks to all the carers and the staff of Woodland Hall.
My wife was in your care earlier this year. We just wanted to express our gratitude for the love and kindness she was shown during her stay, all of the staff are so professional and all her needs were met from her medication to her Physiotherapy and thanks to you all my wife is now at home and well on the mend. Woodland Hall and its facilities are excellent. Once again many thanks for your wonderful care.
I thought the staff were all very polite and respectful of my mother. They were also very engaging and made one feel welcome. They also were empathetic towards my mother's needs. It did help I had a rapport with the staff but overall I was impressed. Attended to my mother well and would recommend Woodlands Hall and hope to bring my mother back for further respite care.
I had such a pleasant stay. The staff were kind and caring. I would love to name each and everyone who looked after me. When I had my moments and was very tearful the staff really emotionally supported me. Other residents were very friendly. The ladies who did the cleaning were spot on. Thank you to them and all the nurses.
