We have been overwhelmed by the kindness of every single member of staff at Annandale Lodge Care Home. The patience, understanding and support have been wonderful and much appreciated. Keep up the good work!
I would like to say a very big thank you to you all for the care that you gave my partner. You were all so very kind. You all treated him with dignity. You treated him so lovingly. It was apparent in all that you did for him. I was so lucky that he was placed in your home. This home is filled with love, I felt it from the first moment that I walked in and I am sure he felt it too. I noticed that you went the extra mile while he was here. Nothing was too much trouble. He was cold and needed a blanket, one arrived in minutes. He fancied an ice pop, one magically appeared from the kitchen. Tragically you didn't know him when he was a fit and well man with a wicked sense of humour however you all gave him the most precious gift of giving him your time. I know that he was settled and comfortable at all times and that is what mattered the most. I would like to say a very big thank you from the bottom of my heart.
All the staff were excellent, I just wish my Mom had been longer there.
I cannot praise this care home ebough. Every member of staff is professional, caring, helpful and friendly. I know my partner is well cared for, which takes a lot of worry off me.
My dad who has dementia has been at Annandale for 6 years and has always been treated with compassion and kindness. The carers are genuinely thoughtful of his needs. They have supported him through this awful disease and have been there when I have not been able to face it. I will be forever grateful for this.
The team have been looking after Dad for 8 months now, and have been kind, caring and thoughtful throughout. Compassionate when his dementia-driven behaviour was so tricky, but now with extra tenderness and care as he has become more frail. When he was more alert, he definitely enjoyed the banter and chat with all the staff - the kitchen team when deciding on meals, stop by for a natter, the care staff too. The manager leads by example and exudes care and compassion, and I have the utmost confidence in her and her team to continue to look after Dad.
My mother-in-law has been in the care of Annandale Lodge since Jan 2023. Despite her ongoing ailments including a recent Dementia diagnosis Mum has always been treated with the utmost respect and more importantly loving care. Everyone from the cleaning, kitchen, care, nursing staff and Manager always has time to spend valuable interactions with Mum ensuring she is involved in both understanding her care but most importantly her everyday needs. All staff are always willing to listen to our concerns or discuss with us Mum's care. Recently on Mum's Birthday the staff gathered to help her celebrate which showed Mum is not just treated as another resident they really do care for her as an individual.
I visit my good friend who is a resident in this home. I am always greeted by very friendly staff. My friend genuinely loves living here. The care he receives is always of high quality. Every member of staff, I have been fortunate enough to meet, is so kind and genuine. When he comes to choosing food options, the chef is always very flexible with his choices. Management is extremely friendly and takes time out to chat with him. A great place.
I am extremely happy living here. The staff are very kind, caring and thoughtful. The kitchen staff are very understanding and tailor my meals according to my needs. The management team are genuine and sit and talk with me regularly. I feel very safe here and trust all the staff.
Just wanted to extend our sincere thanks to the management and staff at Annandale Lodge. Despite my father-in-law's aliments, both he and the family feel he is in the best place. He feels happy and secure, and we feel he is getting a good standard of care. Worthy of note is the friendliness of the staff and the improved menu. My sincere thanks to you all.
My daughter-in-law entered Annandale Home whilst in the final stages of a terminal illness. The care that she received was the best that we could have for her. The staff were excellent, always respectful we could not fault one single moment. As the time came for her to leave this world the family were shown such kindness, which was way beyond the staff's normal duties. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who wants to give their relatives kindness and good loving care. She was kept clean and comfortable to the end. Excellent home.
My mother was in the care of Annandale Lodge during March and April 2023. The care she received during this period allowed her to live her final days in comfort, surrounded by the most caring of people. Every person we had contact with was an absolute credit to both Annandale Lodge and the caring profession in general. The humanity and patience shown by all of the care staff were a great comfort to us and took away any concerns we had regarding her final days.
I felt very happy with my husband in the room he had and found the care touching and kind. Sadly he was there too short a time and I couldn't comment on the facilities and activities as he was not able to use them.
We would like to say how grateful we all are for the wonderful care Mum received from all the lovely staff at Annandale Lodge for Mum's end-of-life care. They were so attentive and caring and nothing was too much trouble for Mum or the family. Thank you all so much, superstars!
The team at Annandale Lodge looked after my father very well. An acquaintance had recommended Annandale Lodge as being a particularly caring environment and this was certainly our experience. The high standard of care is driven from the manager herself through the whole team. They are competent and gently persistent. They spend quality time with the resident. My father's mental health improved greatly while he was at Annandale Lodge. The standard of proactive care is very good. House calls from external service providers were arranged without us having to ask, without fuss and always with the appropriate level of consultation with Dad and the family. Great emphasis is placed on how the resident wants to live. Visits from family and friends are accommodated graciously and we could visit more frequently with the video option which is easy to use. We feel lucky to have found a place for Dad here.
My brother spent his final 4 months being cared for and nursed in Annandale Lodge until his death on December 2nd. He called it 'Home' for very good reasons. The sensitivity, care, and love shown to him amazed him and me. I would never have thought that so many people, regardless of their post in the home could show such compassion and understanding, care and love: the cleaners, chefs, carers, nurses, even the maintenance people and the manager, all knew my brother, understood him and what he needed, and were always so welcoming to me as I visited him. He was relaxed, secure, and safe as he faced his approaching death. I cannot express enough my thanks to these wonderful people for looking after my brother so compassionately and carefully and for facilitating my visits, including overnight ones, throughout his stay. After the pandemic, we seem as a society, to have forgotten the human care provided by people such as these. We should be standing and clapping for them again.
My friend was admitted to Annadale Lodge on Monday 14th November 2022 after being discharged from hospital. I cannot tell you how happy I was. The home was so nice, the room beautiful and the staff and manager were exceptional. They made her final days so happy. I will be eternally grateful to them all.
Dad had the fortune to take residency at Annandale Lodge this year and was looked after by the whole team as if they were looking after their own family. Every time I visited I was updated on how he was and everyone had time for dad, the rooms are very clean and the safety of the residence makes you feel confident he was in the best place. There are no negatives I can write just say I would never think twice about placing a relative of mine in Annandale as all staff excellent carers. Thank you team from myself and my family.
Mum became a resident at Annandale in March 2019. She was bedbound and had mild dementia. She was always treated with the utmost dignity and compassion. During the pandemic, we were encouraged to visit and talk to mum through the window. Luckily she was on the ground floor. The care she had was absolutely fantastic. As a family, we can't thank you enough. Being with her as she passed away was a privilege. Thank you for phoning us so we could get there in time.
