View Full Details of New Meppershall Care HomeThe staff and buildings were of the highest quality and the care provided was beyond expectations and delivered with a cheerful and happy attitude. My wife was cared for like a member of the family during her convalescence from major surgery. If we need care in future we would have no hesitation in returning to New Meppershall Care Home on a permanent basis.
My Mum stayed for respite care after an operation. The home made my Mum feel very welcome with its family atmosphere. My Mum was cared for day and night by a dedicated team. Nurses were available when my Mum needed medical help. Visitors were made very welcome. The home is clean, bright and airy. The food is excellent. When my Mum felt better she went on one of the regular outings, which she really enjoyed. I'm so glad we found this home for my Mum's respite care. I would like to thank the wonderful team at the home who supported my Mum during her stay.
Kind and respectful of my father's needs. Always cheerful with a 'can do' attitude. All the staff knew what they were doing and made my father feel valued and cared for. Although we only needed 4 weeks respite at this stage my father would be very happy to return in the future. The family were also welcome to visit at any time which made us all very comfortable with the care provided to my father. The meals were very good and the family were made very welcome to eat with my father. My father's medication was ordered on time. He enjoyed the trip out on the minibus and also the support to get to see a little of the village. Highly recommended. Thank you for your care.
An amazing, caring, friendly environment. Took great care of our Mum who came from hospital with complications following open heart surgery. Very fragile on arrival but she left walking, well-fed and laughing, back to independence. They sorted her complicated medication routine perfectly and were always smiling and helpful in answering questions. Thank you to the whole team!
I cannot have been happier with the care my mother-in-law received at New Meppershall. They treat all their residents as family and that is just what it feels like having your loved one in their care. The whole family is treated with care compassion and kindness. It's so hard to entrust the care of a much-loved family member to someone else, but she was really happy there. The best part for me were the staff, every single one of them was wonderful, the office administrator, care assistants and nursing staff. Each one of them made her stay there happy and comfortable. They were always on hand if we needed any help or advice and we could visit at any time. They were always in contact with us if there was any change in her health or even if she had a change of medication! She couldn't have been in better hands and it gave us great comfort knowing that she was being looked after better than we ever could have done. We will be forever grateful for everything they did for all of us.
We would like to express immense gratitude to the whole team. We went through the last month of Mum's life with the team at New Meppershall and they were just wonderful. Respectful, caring, warm. From the first contact to the last moment. It is an incredibly intimate and difficult time for a family when the oldest member passes and we felt supported but not intruded on. That was important. Thank you all.
We have been very happy with the care our relative has received. He is like a totally different person since they have been in New Meppershall. The staff are friendly and welcoming, exactly what we were looking for when we were choosing a home.
Wonderful home with wonderful people. Dad really loved it here and loved all the people dealing with his care. They were all very happy and welcoming and it has a lovely element of home about it. Very clean too. Thank you all.
We were looking for somewhere special for palliative care for our mum and we found it. From our very first contact with New Meppershall, we were impressed and remained impressed. The home has a warm and welcoming feel, it is spotlessly clean and tidy, the meals are lovely, there is a nice garden and it is good that there is also a hairdresser and chiropodist available. More importantly, was the exceptional care Mum received during her stay. From everyone (the cleaners, housekeeping, carers, nurses and management team) nothing was ever too much trouble. Mum was always treated with respect and cheerful friendliness. We are very grateful for the care that Mum received and could not have wished for a better place for her. Thank you.
My dad recently spent some time in this tremendously helpful and accommodating home, the staff were fantastic with him. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you to everyone involved in making a very hard decision we had to make by placing him there. Much luv.
Whole home is nicely Clean and tidy, staff are always cheery and helpful. A few activities to amuse / entertain residents. Nice garden for better days. Plenty of different areas for sitting quietly or with other people. Overall a good experience.
From the very first contact with New Meppershall, our minds were put at rest by the friendly, knowledgeable and very approachable staff across the board. The nurses and carers were all fantastic, kept us updated with Dad's progress, and were kind and attentive to his needs. They were very welcoming to us as a family, knowing us all by name and being very helpful with my mum, who we took daily to spend time with dad, and who is also disabled. Nothing we asked for was ever too much trouble and my dad said there wasn't a single person he could fault. The admin staff were just as great, arranging daily papers, haircuts, chiropody, and even helping with video calls that Dad struggled with on his own, playing a part in settling him in and putting our minds at rest. The building itself is large, open, airy and spotlessly clean and decorated tastefully. We were welcome to make ourselves and Dad hot drinks at any time. Sadly had to move Dad due to the distance from home but would highly recommend it!
My father was fiercely independent and self-sufficient. That was until he mutually agreed with medical advice that it wasn't safe or in his best interests to continue living in his own home alone. It was probably the hardest decision he'd ever had to make in his life. He chose New Meppershall Care Home without any interference. He always knew what he wanted. Pre-admission contact with the admin staff was friendly, sympathetic and professional. I 1st visited him on admission day and was immediately impressed by the location, facilities and cleanliness. The attending nursing staff were totally professional, friendly, respectful and constantly checking in on him to ensure he was comfortable without being 'over fussy'. All the while his dignity was maintained. The menu is varied and high quality and there are organised activities/outings. As a visitor, I was looked after and given all the information I needed. Other visitors to him made the same comments. I would choose here for myself 10/10. Thank you all.
Visiting my father from the USA during his stay here and I was thoroughly impressed with the location, layout, and superior level of care that he was receiving from care staff and administrators. It comforts me to know that he is in good hands. The location is clean, tidy, and offers a variety of activities for the residents to participate in. The home is set facing open countryside to offer a peaceful surrounding to all that can enjoy it. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the patients are safe and comfortable in a very professional manner. My brother and I have been blessed to have been given this opportunity for our father. They welcome you with open arms and answer any questions regarding patient care openly. I would thoroughly recommend this location to anybody who is considering a care home option for their loved one.
A well-run, friendly care home, which provided for the needs of my Mum, who was in respite care following a series of falls. The home was clean, functional and safe. The food was varied and well prepared.
Dad spent his last days with New Meppershall Care Home and his care was outstanding. I would highly recommend this home with excellent facilities and amazing staff. Lovely clean rooms with countryside views.
Clean home and has very caring staff. Nothing is too much trouble and all tasks are carried out with a smile. The food is very good and well prepared and always a choice. Hairdressing and Chiropody are all on-site.
My 90-year-old mother spent seven weeks at New Meppershall from April until June this year, following a lengthy stay in hospital. We could not have wished for a better place for her recovery. Spotlessly clean, lovely meals (she especially enjoyed Sunday lunches) and a well-equipped and spacious room. But more importantly was the care she received from the fantastic team of carers who looked after her during her stay. Nothing was too much trouble; Mum was always treated with respect and cheerful friendliness. The management team were always welcoming and kept us informed through excellent channels of communication and the nursing team were second to none, professional and expert, keeping us informed of care plans and doing their absolute best for Mum. We really appreciated the fact that as a family we could visit at any time and were able to bring in personal items, like photos from home, to make her room more personal. We are very grateful for the care that Mum received.
I came to New Meppershall care home on the 10th May for two weeks after a knee joint replacement and I have found the overall experience here to be excellent. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much bother for them. The rooms are cleaned daily the meals are excellent, In fact, the care here is so good that I have decided to stay an additional week.
My mother was admitted there direct from the hospital to recover after a bad fall which broke her femur. She was well cared for around the clock by the staff and enjoyed her stay. The care home is well looked after and set within a lovely village. There was also no restriction on visiting hours which really helped. She would have liked to stay longer but the very high stay cost was prohibitive.
