View Full Details of Taymer Nursing HomeTaymer Nursing Home was definitely like a second home for my dad. The care, kindness and consideration shown to him was extraordinary. All members of staff treated my dad with dignity at a very difficult time. During my dad's final days, the care home were so kind and helpful to myself and all family members. Nothing was too much trouble! In some of the darkest hours of my life I will be forever grateful to all of the amazing staff. We feel incredibly lucky that Dad was able to have his final days at Taymer!
The Taymer has been caring for our mother for a number of years now. They have always looked after her with care and dignity, making the best of her as she deteriorates due to the conditions she is suffering from. It is always a pleasure to pop in and she her, we would like to thank all the staff for there continuing care and compassion for our mother.
The management and staff at Taymer couldn't do enough to make my mum's temporary stay more enjoyable. All carers were kind and respectful throughout her stay. In particular, the manager runs "a tight ship" and nothing slips through her attention, excellent. A special shout out to the chefs who provided a good choice of well-prepared food at meal times. My mum has also asked that the night team receive special mention. You made my mum's stay more enjoyable. Thanks.
I still regularly visit the manager at the Taymer Nursing Home even though my mother, who was a resident, is no longer with us. Residents are treated with care dignity and compassion and nothing is too much trouble. You sense the kindness and attention to detail as soon as you walk through the door. The Taymer is a unique establishment filled with love and caring. I'm glad I found the Taymer for my mother and I am grateful that they are still there supporting me beyond my loss and welcome me every time I call in.
I am delighted with the quality of care and kindness shown to my mother at Taymer Nursing Home. The home itself is beautiful with nice surroundings. The staff are attentive. I want to pay particular tribute to the cook, who goes above and beyond the call of duty and also to the manager for her attentive approach.
Come rain or shine, day or night, you are always welcomed with a smile, friendly, caring staff in all departments. What started as respite has become forever home. Lots of activities to be part of, out for walks, comfortable rooms, lounges to join others and make friends, sitting together for meals, one big family. Important calendar/annual events such as Easter, Mother's Day, Remembrance Sunday are all celebrated together.
This is the best home I have seen.
This is my first personal experience of a family member being in a nursing home - my Grandma, who has dementia and had a stroke in April 2024. Not having any knowledge of what we need to consider when selecting a nursing home. Dad and I were kindly welcomed by the management team who gave us a very comprehensive tour of the rooms, facilities, kitchen and all the services the nursing home provided including the staff ratios during the day and at night. All the staff from the management team, nurses, care assistants, chef and kitchen staff, and housekeeping all play their individual part in taking exceptional care for my Grandma. The communication and the engagement from the management team have been phenomenal - they are very sincere. The care is given with empathy and compassion. All the staff are friendly and helpful, always supportive in our request to fulfil Grandma's needs. The meals are freshly prepared daily. The rooms are cleaned daily and kept refreshed.
Just wanted to say how wonderful the staff are at Taymer who are taking good care of our loving mother following a stroke she had back in April 2024. Cannot thank the staff enough for their time, compassion, patience and caring for Mum in a dignified way. We feel blessed that Mum is in a good, safe and friendly environment. If ever we need anything, staff are always available and ready to help. We feel that they are part of our extended family. All staff are exceptional, not forgetting the chef for preparing the meals and deserts. I know Mum particularly enjoys the desserts! Finally, a big thank you must go to the manager for listening and for supporting us during this difficult time. She made Mum's transition to the home seemingly stress-free and we are all very grateful for the love and kindness she has shown not just to Mum, but to all of us. Thank you and god bless.
I was made to feel welcome upon arrival. Attentive and happy staff. I was impressed that the staff tackled any job. The building is set in beautiful gardens. There are many alternative places to rest or relax. Visitors are welcomed with tea and cakes and are invited to join their family members for Sunday lunch.
Being my first experience in a nursing home I have been impressed by the professionalism and genuine care taken by the staff towards the residents, there is a family feel to the home. By the cleanliness and care of the room to ensure the resident is as comfortable as if they were at home. The variety of activities and inclusion of relatives encourages stimulation and involvement. It was a good choice and I feel privileged to have had the experience.
Visited my friend who was on rehab at Taymer. The most welcoming staff, receptionist, manager, carers and the activities lady did a fantastic job and got everyone involved. The chef serves delicious fresh food every day and nothing is too much problem. The home has a very homely feel and the cleanliness is spotless, overall a fabulous home-from-home.
My father is a recently new resident. His time has been the most caring and loving from the care staff and management. Having lost his wife (my mother) in March very suddenly the staff have treated him so well and with respect - lots of banter and joking - he enjoys this very much. As the daughter - it's such peace of mind forever grateful to the team and beyond.
We chose Taymer Nursing Home because it was smaller, all residents had bedrooms and living quarters on the ground floor with views and access to the gardens, and the management and staff were professional and caring. Dad has been a resident for 14 months and we have not been disappointed in our choice. The team and the care they provide have been excellent, thank you.
This is a home-from-home. Their philosophy is 'We work in your home' and that's exactly how it feels. I wouldn't want my mum to be anywhere else than at the Taymer. I couldn't be happier with it and even my mother, who has never been known ever to say a positive word about anything, says 'There's nothing wrong with it'.
Mum moved into Taymer at the end of May, three weeks ago. Her wellbeing has improved remarkably in such a short period of time. She interacts with the other residents and the staff, something she found difficult to do with people before moving in. The staff are amazing, encouraging Mum to do different activities that have noticeably contributed to her improvement, especially her mental health. She loves the food and she has even put on some weight having arrived at Taymer very thin. Mum has been allowed to adorn her room with many ornaments and photos from her house, even large furniture, which is a great comfort to her. Taymer really is now her home. Mum is tied to an oxygen supply but the staff have been great in moving her around the care home. Feedback from the staff to me has been very, very good.
Arrived 22/3/24 and have enjoyed every aspect from carers, excellent chef and very accommodating manager. Look forward to the rest of my stay.
Mum has settled brilliantly in Taymer, and this can only be down to the care and welcome she has received from staff. Staff are kind, attentive and always thinking about how to entertain their residents. I couldn't recommend them highly enough!
I came to Taymer after hospital, having broken both my feet. I came here for rehabilitation. From the moment I arrived, I felt very comfortable and the welcome was lovely. All the staff have tended to my every need. The food was lovely and well-balanced. I started rehabilitation straight away, which I received every day. The physios were excellent. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend Taymer.
My mother has received the most excellent care. The staff are very kind and caring. It is always a pleasure to visit, the staff go above and beyond to care for their residents. I can't speak highly enough of my mother's care.
