View Full Details of St Mary's Care HomeAlthough not a long stay, my father received very good care at St Mary's. He was treated with respect and dignity and his wishes were abided by. Contact from home was swift and courteous. Thank you.
My mum has only been in this care home for 2 weeks and so far staff have been lovely. So very supportive, kind and so friendly. What a lovely team. It's nice and clean and I feel content knowing we picked this care home for my mum. The garden is lovely and a big shout-out to one staff member in particular who makes us feel less nervous and more at ease when were visiting our mum.
The first day my grandmother entered St Mary's Care Home, the staff were there at the entrance to greet us with smiles on their faces. The staff are all so friendly, especially one member of staff who has been so supportive and understanding the process my grandmother and family are going through. St Mary's has shown great effort to make it feel at home for service users and visitors. It has exceeded my expectations.
I have been very well cared for by all the staff. Nothing has been too much trouble. Especially little nurse, very caring and kind. Very professional and outstanding.
My father was efficiently admitted to the home. All the staff are friendly, and caring and treated him as an individual. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole family were made to feel welcome on visits. The food was good; the activities are great and the response to queries was good.
We were met at the door. The nurse was very warm and friendly. We were shown around the facilities and introduced to the staff, all of which were very helpful. They show great compassion and a very high level of care to everyone. We were encouraged to use all the facilities in the home including an excellent day room. The care and understanding of the staff truly touched my heart. This is an outstanding care home with excellent staff. Five stars.
Nothing too much trouble for all members of staff that I have dealt with. Mothe settled and happy after a horrendous 2.5-month stay in hospital. Thank you.
St Mary's Care Home is the best home. I enjoyed my two-week stay, and love this place. The staff are amazing, fantastic and very caring and kind staff. I would like to nominate a particular nurse for a care award. She is lovely and very kind. I am sure the home is very lucky to have her.
Brilliant, very friendly, helpful and caring staff at St Mary's.
The staff are all excellent, they go above and beyond. The building is very clean and very homely. Each resident has their own room, ensuite and furniture, a TV and are kept very comfortable. Family and friends are also made welcome and treated with kindness and respect. The best care I have experienced. Entertainment is also very good.
Sister admitted 2 weeks ago while she was very poorly. her care has been amazing. The staff are all very committed to the residents and her care has been exceptional. Nothing has been too much trouble for them all. I can't express how important that has been to me coming up from Cornwall and seeing well cared for she is.
Mum's care is still very good, she is happy. The staff always keep me and the family updated if we have any issues. Both staff and management are always available and make Mum very comfortable.
My mum has been in St Mary's since July. The team have been very caring and supportive. They have built a close relationship with Mum and the family. Our worries and concerns are listened to and addressed. The home is very family orientated and has provided activities for the children as they navigate this difficult time, this has been helpful when visiting for long periods of time during the school holidays, making things stressful, meaning I can bewith Mum and the children. St Mary's is a home from home and the staff are extended family.
Friendly staff. Marked improvement in health. Couldn't do enough.
Two weeks ago I accompanied residents to a day out organised by the care home. One resident became sick so the accompanying nurse reassured and calmed him down and gave him medication to treat his illness. I witnessed the nurse go out of the way to do this task with a smile and poise so as not to belittle the resident who soon felt better. All residents enjoyed their outing and returned back to St Mary's after. A wonderful day out. Well done to the nurse for looking after the resident mentioned above.
I am a resident at St Mary's Care Home. The staff are fantastic, especially one nurse in particular is very good, she always goes the extra mile to ensure I am well cared for. I am well cared for. I wish this nurse gets a kindness award. I am very happy here. St Mary's Care Home is a very lovely home.
Nan has been living in St Mary's Care Home for several years. The staff are lovely and friendly, particularly when I and her great-grandchildren visit. Nan's best days are when she moves into her chair and experiences the activities the staff work hard to provide.
The staff and facilities are very good. The premises are clean and tidy and the overall experience is very satisfactory. Highly recommended! The food is adequate, but very little choice for vegetarians. The ability to choose or specify preference in advance of the meal would be appreciated.
My 95-year-old mother has been a resident at this care home for a few years. She is well looked after by the carers and the staff nurses. One particular staff nurse has been very kind to her in that she spends time with her and speaks to her. She is very professional and friendly. Always has a big smile. I would like to recommend her for an award. She has always been helpful and updates me regularly on my mum's progress and well-being.
I arrived at St Mary's Care Home in January. I was on an end-of-life care program. With great care from nurses. A particular member of staff has worked her magic with care, especially love. I think she should be nominated for Nurse of the Year for her pure soul has rubbed off on me and for that, I can only say thanks. I know all the carers and nurses will think I have a favourite but I think you're all great but she is special.
