Fantastic. This home is wonderful. They have cared and supported my husband since his spinal operation. With the help of the wonderful staff, my husband is now able to walk with the confidence he needed thank you all so much.

I've been coming to Parkside Care Home to see my mum every other day. The staff are extremely nice and helpful, always happy to assist or answer any questions. Although my mum is not able to comment, I'm sure if she could, she would be happy.

Bupa Parkside Care Home, there is not quite the right words for this home. The care provided from day one has been lovely. Since the day our nan arrived at the home following the loss of her partner has been very caring, to the latter stages of her life when she was in need to extra care and support Nan took part in many activities within the home; always well thought through by the wonderful activities team. Nan often spoke about the butterfly buddies babies visiting, making various craft pieces and showing off her new nails and hair, even some lovely outings too (the pantomine and garden centres were sure a hit) Oh and we cant forget the visit from the lamas and the guide dogs. The carers were very attentive to the needs of nan; often understanding how she liked things to go The nursing staff were outstanding, providing amazing care for nan from the day she arrived. We cant forget to mention the reception staff, we are always welcomed with a warm one Parkside - We cant thank you enough.

The care that my dad has received as been out of this world. Thinking back to when he came to the care home we really thought we would not have much time, but thanks to all the staff that have been there for my dad he as picked up. Knowing that he is still every ill there could not be a better place and would not change where he is. So thank you to all the staff again for looking after my dad.

As usual, the staff of Parkside are very friendly and helpful to make residents and their visitors feel at home and welcome. There is a good range of activities provided, although staff shortages have impacted the scope of these over the last few months. My wife is happy and content as a resident of over 2 years! The carers are very caring! The nursing care is excellent! We celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary in July and the staff went out of their way to help us celebrate it in the lounge, which was suitably decorated and a celebration tea provided.

All the staff are very helpful at all times. Staff appear happy to help all residents at all times. The care home looks well looked after and there are nice activities and events for the residents and relatives.

We fell in love with the place as soon as we walked in. We knew our Mum would be happy and well looked after. From reception to all the staff are very friendly and very helpful. We have noticed a difference in her, she seems very relaxed and happy.

A caring "family" home. The staff are kind, and their nursing skills are excellent. I cannot thank the manager and the rest of the staff for their care and support. The head of the team is a star!

On the whole, we are happy with Mum's care in Parkside. Unfortunately, little things let it down. The garden at this time of year should be ready for residents to use and again it is not. There’s no thought into having different sections to meet residents' needs such as an area of highly perfumed plants for those who can’t see. Raised beds for those who still like to garden a little.

My husband had 2 weeks of respite care at Parkside. He was well cared for and treated with respect which meant I could have a break without worrying about him. The home manager was very helpful and all the staff welcoming and caring. Would definitely recommend Parkside to anyone looking for a care home.

I cannot praise the staff at Parkside Nursing Home enough for the care, companionship and their sensitivity to my mother's needs. The staff, regardless of their role, were always friendly, professional, and caring. Parkside is an excellent and reassuring place for the care of loved ones.

I am very impressed with Parkside Care Home, my brother has been here for nearly a year and I cannot fault the staff, they are very professional but also very caring, kind and welcoming. The care is excellent and my brother has experienced timely treatments and medication. Nothing is too much trouble and they have all kinds of activities and events to keep residents occupied.

My family and I are really happy with the care provided for my mum. All the staff are dedicated and treat Mum with the respect she deserves. We would recommend Parkside to anyone looking for a caring team to look after their loved ones. Mum has thrived in there over the last nine months or so. Thank you to all the staff, we appreciate all you do.

All carers here are very lovely, polite, understanding, extremely efficient, and very much gentle and caring to my every need physically and emotionally.

Our friend moved into Parkside Care Home in March of this year and, after taking a few weeks to settle, has now settled fully and made friends with other residents and staff. The entertainment staff are brilliant and keep us entertained most days with singing, artwork, flower arranging and other activities. Meals are very nice with a varied menu. I can have my hair cut and styled, and I’m well looked after.

I have been visiting my dad over the last six weeks (from New Zealand). Dad is content, kept clean and well-fed from what I have seen. My brother is his first point of contact/next of kin and is also very satisfied with our dad's care. Also, the staff have been very friendly and courteous.

My mother became a resident to Parkside at the beginning of February 2023, hence my review covers a 5-month period to date. Positive observations so far include Mum's room, which is very pleasant, the dining facilities and the general quality of the nursing staff and facility support. Negatives are the cost, although this is a general problem across the entire sector, and the reception is not always gaining access to the home. Also, the garden maintenance is lacking.
