View Full Details of Lynwood Care HomeCold and not welcome feeling. Ward is clinical and homely warm, and functional. Staff are good and kind but restrictions are on them from Management. The Management team is less than functional and doesn't care or try to accommodate the needs of the patient. Badly managed by a cold team that doesn't listen to the family or the patient. Would never recommend this Care facility.
My first visit to Lynwood Care Home was an easy decision to make and I would not have to visit other care homes. Management greeted me well and showed me around the building which was perfect for my wife's care, and very clean. The rooms and bathroom were perfect. I was impressed with the visitor's rooms which are very private. The staff are very caring and well trained, My wife is very happy with her care.
My husband has some challenging behaviour but the care teams have been exemplary in their handling of him. From personal to clinical care he could not have had better. Including his social mores of playing the guitar, albeit airplay! Thank you everyone.
Lynwood's care for Mum was always good. The staff dealt with Mum's care in a professional manner. They showed her respect and love. They met her physical needs and within the time allowed to them, also her mental, emotional and spiritual needs. Some of the long-term staff became her 'friends and family' for which both she and I were grateful. They were also always kind and welcoming to my dad when he visited Mum. He became an 'honorary' resident - cups of tea and a plate of food always available for him, and staff looking after him as he became increasingly forgetful and confused. My only criticism of Lynwood is the admin. At times the admin at Lynwood was rather chaotic, leading to confusion and requiring us to expend too much time chasing and checking bills etc.
Very happy with care provided to my wife who has stage 4 Alzheimer’s keeping her safe and well fed, something in the end I could not provide without compromising my own health. Think there could be a bit more activity.
The majority of the care staff are very good and very caring, some of the management team seem distant to the staff and could be more proactive with them. Generally the care being received is good, again attention to detail such as drinks left within reach of the resident and keeping the residents covered up to assist their dignity. I know people move about and lose their blankets but regular checking would avoid embarrassment for visitors and residents.
This care facility is excellent. My brother has been there for 3 years and the carers are wonderful. He is presently in the Dove Ward as he has advanced dementia at the age of just 72. I see consideration from all at Dove and before in Robin. The receptionists are welcoming. I could not be happier and recommend Lynwood for peace of mind.
I have found the staff and managers at Lynnwood to be very caring and extremely professional. My mum has been there since it was opened many years ago and considers it her home and is very happy there. She wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
I have just had another excellent two-week stay at Lynwood CareHome. The staff are consistently welcoming and friendly. I was also very pleased to be helped to access physiotherapy sessions each week, the carers making sure I was showered and breakfast in good time. My wife was also made very welcome when she visited me. She was very relieved that the staff were careful to put my hand and leg splints for my afternoon sleep as well as overnight. I enjoyed the good quality food and the options available. My room was spacious enough for me to access both the French window and the desk in my electric wheelchair.
Mum has been at Lynwood for the past 4 years. We (the children) are always informed of any changes to her health, medication, etc. The care, dedication, kindness, and attention to detail shown by all the staff is truly humbling. We know that they care deeply for Mum and are always bright and cheerful. We have recommended Lynwood to many of Mum's friends and families because of our experience. It's a 100% recommendation!
Care staff are amazing and dedicated to caring for the residents. Families are always welcomed with a smile and a hello. I visit my dad frequently, if we have any questions the care workers always answer and put our minds at ease
My mother has been in Lynwood Care Home for four years and seems very content. Whenever I visit, she is always clean and well presented and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. My mother moved into one of the houses for residents with dementia two years ago, and, although virtually bed-bound now, her carers still try to chat to her and find her sense of humour. Overall I’m very pleased with the help and care my mother receives.
I visited the resident in her new home and was impressed at how welcoming it felt from the receptionist to the care workers. The visiting room was clean and you could see that all safety measures were being taken to keep everyone safe in this current climate. To cap it all my friend said that the staff were treating her well and looking after her. That alone made me feel relaxed. Thank you keep up the good work.
Mum had respite care at Lynwood Care Centre for 1 month when she was discharged from hospital. We received a very warm welcome from the start and all of the staff could not have been more helpful. The nursing and care staff treated my Mum with kindness, respect and dignity. They quickly got to know her likes and dislikes ensuring, for instance, that she was able to sit in her preferred area in front of the window. The excellent health care resulted in a quick recovery which enabled her to return to her own home. My Mum has dementia which has resulted in her being unable to enjoy previous activities however, she thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food including lovely roast dinners and homemade cake at teatime. The managers were incredibly helpful regarding Mum's discharge from hospital and leaving date to coincide with support at home. The receptionists always gave me a warm greeting when I arrived, were helpful and informative and personally took Mum her daily newspaper. I would highly recommend it.
Lynwood Care Centre have very poor interim management. Ignorant and needs training on how to listen! Not well respected in house, how this person has been employed I will never understand. Lynwood care staff are excellent, shame the interim management is not up to the same standard.
Amazing care home. Highly recommended. Amazing facilities and great all-round care.
Unexpected and out of the blue my husband had to go into a care home at only 59 years old and I’m so glad it was Lynwood. He is in Kingfisher House and I can’t express how the nurses and, especially, the carers are looking after him all with the back up of management. My husband wants for nothing and with covid 19 going on everything is in place from the moment you enter the building. Well done to you all. If I ever need 24-hour care,I will make sure I come here with this excellent bunch of people keeping everybody safe.
Mourning is private, grieving is pain, feeling the sorrow over and over again. Losing someone close just cuts so deep, waking at night because you just can't sleep. No one can tell you when it's time to move on, when your flowers will dry or tears have all gone. But face it we must and hold our heads high, smile and wave and try not to cry, together with a care home that can do no wrong, think of the good times and remain forever strong, so sing from the rooftops and relight the flame. If you want the best, Lynwood is the name!
Very happy with Lynwood Care Home. My mother has been a resident since September 2019, and whilst she has complex care needs, she seems happy. The staff are amazing with Mum; kind and caring despite a challenging situation. They always try their best, and we are very grateful, even more son in these Covid times.
My husband is receiving end of life care and I could not have wished for better. Everyone has been so very kind to him and allowed me to visit each day and given me so much support. A lovely nursing home!
