View Full Details of Catherine CourtThe care here has been exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and my father's care has been wonderful since he came to Catherine Court. Thank you to all the care team who made my Dad's stay so easy.
I am very pleased with the nursing care person provided by Catherine Court. My brother has been at Catherine Court since April and the family is very pleased with the care and consideration given by the staff. My brother was in and out of hospital but since he has been at the care home he has not had as many infections. He has gained weight and looks much better in himself.
The most difficult decision in your life is to realise it is time to find a placement in a care home for your loved one. My husband has had Alzheimer's for eight years, I was recommended to Catherine Court by two friends and I am forever grateful. The manager and deputy manager were wonderful to me through my darkest time. They are very professional, caring, and supportive to both clients and families. The carers are so giving with their knowledge, kindness and patience with their clients and are treated like family. The nurses provide you with full confidence in caring for your loved one. Catherine Court is spotless, cleaned every day and more so if required. The meals provided are healthy and nourishing and no shortage. The building and gardens are beautifully maintained. One could not ask for more when releasing your loved one to the care of others. My husband requires one-to-one care so is quite demanding but I know he is in safe caring hands.
My wife has been a resident at this nursing home since 2013. She has advanced Alzheimer's disease and has been bedridden and unable to communicate for several years. The care she is receiving is excellent. She is provided with an air mattress, her skin has remained intact and she has never had bedsores which is a credit to the home. She is now on a pureed diet and on her recent birthday the home was kind enough to make her an individual pureed birthday cake as well as a large cake for all the other residents in the dementia unit to share. It is far from clear that she understands what is happening but the carers and nursing staff are very attentive to her needs and keep me informed of any health issues she may have straight away.
The home is very well-kept. The staff is just lovely and so caring not only to the residents but also to extend family giving you support whenever you need it. My mother has always been very happy in the home and I know that she is safe and well cared for at all times nothing is too much trouble.
My 99-year-old father-in-law's 24-hour dementia care needs have been provided by a dedicated group of staff since November 2023 in Windsor Unit. We had an option of respite care but following a guided tour of the unit and an assessment of his needs during a home visit by the deputy manager, my wife and I concluded that her father's health and social care needs will be best met in a 24-hour residential setting rather than in his own home, even with 4 or 5 daily calls from domiciliary care staff. We have actively monitored his personalised care through regular telephone contacts and during regular weekly visit with our West Highland Terrier, who has been 'adopted' as a therapy dog by the residents. We have also been actively involved in a very detailed review of his care plan. Based on our experience so far, we feel confident that Windsor Unit will continue to be able to meet his future needs. All the staff on the unit, the manager and the deputy manager are very open and welcoming.
Thank you so much for the care you have all provided to my grandmother. We feel she has been looked after so well, and her needs are met and she is comfortable and safe. We all really appreciate your hard work and feel relieved that she is looked after so well. This is a challenging time, and thank you all for your hard work.
I am very happy with the care my husband is receiving. All the staff are courteous and respectful to the residents and their visitors. The standard of cleanliness is very good as everywhere is very clean, all bed linen is spotless and rooms are cleaned daily. My husband is showered regularly and his clothes are clean every day. There are a lot of activities and entertainment for the residents.
My wife has severe dementia coupled with dysphasia (inability to speak coherently) and has been in Catherine Court for six years, in all that time she has received outstanding care from all the carers and nurses, the management team continues to get stronger and are always there to listen to issues or problems, the carers do a job that I personally could never do and have my heartfelt thanks for looking after my wife so well.
My husband moved into the care home for nursing care. I am really happy with the care he is provided. The home manager has supported myself to enable my husband to have his own recliner chair, which allows my husband a better quality of life. Food is lovely. All the staff are friendly and welcoming.
My mother-in-law has been moved to Catherine Court after a short stay in Stoke hospital. All of the staff are helpful, caring and very kind. The manager always has time to talk with us showing us kindness and support. The care home is extremely well-run, clean and supports my mother-in-law.
I was a resident from December 2022 until February 2023 my care was first class. They always asked my opinion on any treatment I needed. I was recovering from a broken ankle injury. If I needed anything either physical or if I was upset there was always someone to listen or help, and medication was explained. I had physios come in they were very gentle, while being supportive, while helping me to improve. The rooms were kept very clean with cleaners coming in several times a day and any maintenance was always done promptly.
My aunt has been living at Catherine Court Nursing Home for five years. She lives with dementia. Dementia is a cruel disease and I have watched the stages take their toll over many years which has been a distressing and worrying long period of time. In the last year or so, my aunt's condition has deteriorated significantly. Staff at Catherine Court have been compassionate, kind and understanding. The nurses have listened to my concerns and acted accordingly. The care manager has given me time when I have needed it to discuss care plans and helped managed my expectations for the future. She has spent time with my aunt herself, providing me with reassuring updates when my working hours have prevented me from visiting as often as I would like. I feel a genuine warmth from all the staff at the home. They work hard and care deeply about the people they look after. It has made a terrible situation more bearable and I sleep better at night knowing my aunt is in the best possible place.
When my cousin arrived at Catherine Court, she has just experienced a very traumatic period in her life - a fall causing a broken leg, two stays in hospital, catching Covid during this period when visiting was not possible and developing a very bad bedsore. However, on arrival at Catherine Court, she received excellent care, and her bedsore was eventually healed with a lot of care and monitoring. I have been kept very well informed of her treatment and situation, and she has now settled in well. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. There is a small secluded garden - very pleasant to sit with my cousin in summer and some entertainment put on for residents to take part in if they wish.
We have experienced all the staff to be very helpful and genuinely caring. As a family, we've found this very reassuring and Mum is safe and happy at Catherine Court Care Home. Big thanks to all the team for their dedication and support to the residents and their families.
We have only ever had great care, compassion and dedication from all staff at Catherine Court Care Home. Our mum is so lucky to be in such a wonderful home, she is so well looked after 24 hours a day. Nurses, carers, management, housekeeping, laundry, catering staff etc. are always so willing to do a wonderful job! I can only say a massive thank you to you all.
My mother has been a resident at Catherine Court Care Home for over a year. In my experience, the home is well run and professionally managed. All the staff are friendly and helpful and dedicated to the residents' well-being. The staff took great care to make my mother welcome in the home, not just looking after her basic needs but bringing happiness into her life with some of the fun activities (I know this because I have seen the videos!) Recently my mother's health deteriorated and her care needs increased. The staff responded extremely well and I was genuinely moved to witness the care and empathy in the way they carried out their work. My family and I are very happy with the care my mother has received.
Fantastic care home, staff are amazing, they can't do enough for my dad. There's always something going on, great activities. I can't fault anything. Thank you so much for looking after my dad.
My Mother in law is a resident at Catherine Court care home. The staff are really good, and we feel she is looked after extremely well. If anything goes wrong with my mother in law, they call straight away to tell us. I feel she is really in safe hands at Catherine Court. I would like to give a special mention to the people we have had most contact with. She seems really happy there., and it takes a lot of strain off us due to their expertise.
The staff at Catherine Court represent all good aspects of multi-culturalism and spending a couple of hours there, is an example of tolerance for the aged. The staff have first-class teamwork. The excursions, which will increase as Covid-19 becomes under control, are the highlight for my Mother since the residents around her seem to be uncommunicative. A negative aspect of the home is that there is no garden, such a shame. However one can’t have it all!
