View Full Details of Hillside Nursing HomeMy friend says the way she was looked after + treated was good. As a friend of the family I thought your versatility was wonderful when extra nights were needed at short notice. All the staff I met were friendly. It created a nice atmosphere.
I came here from the hospital to Hillside nursing home for rehabilitation as suffered from minor strokes, a minor heart attack, and low oxygen levels due to being overweight. Hillside is an excellent home but needs more staff for activities and sometimes there food is cold.
My mother was cared for at Hillside from 2016 until she passed in early December 2024, aged 104. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the excellent management and leadership, along with the staff on 'Hogarth'. The management and staff were always happy to keep relatives up to date with any issues and answer any questions we had. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to any potential future resident and their family.
My brother moved into Hillside Nursing Home 4 years ago. For the first 2 1/2 years I was very happy. Though the past 18 months I have seen a change and it saddens me. Attitudes need to change then the high-level care can return.
Our friend is a lifelong Methodist and wanted to move into Hillside Nursing Home. When we visited in September 2024, we were delighted to find that Hillside was light and airy, in great decorative order, newly carpeted and smelled fresh. We were given a tour of the premises and given plenty of information about the running of the home and the care which our friend could expect. When our friend moved into Hillside, we found that the management and nursing teams were always available and willing to answer our questions which was a great comfort to us at a very stressful time. Our friend is now coming to terms with being a resident in a care home and we are grateful for the support he is being given.
My brother has progressive multiple sclerosis and was living alone in Norfolk with carer visits, the situation was dangerous, he was alone for periods during the day and alone through the night. After an application and tour around Hillside Nursing Home he moved into permanent residence there in September 2024, so he was finally back in Aylesbury! The first few weeks were a bit edgy as he wasn't used to 24 hour care, however, the staff at Hillside are highly trained in making sure residents are made to feel welcome, comfortable and cared for, they build up trust and friendliness. My brother has settled in well and when myself and other family members visit the staff interact with us in every way to make sure he is happy. The care is exceptional, we wouldn't want him to be anywhere else. The building is extremely clean and very well managed, we are looking forward to the warmer months when we can sit with our brother outside on the lovely and colourful wooden veranda and also let him experience the outdoor activities.
My son has been enjoying regular respite care at Hillside Nursing Home for over 5 years now and I can honestly say that the experience has been a thoroughly positive one in every way. The staff are dedicated, professional and good humoured, treating my son with kindness, love and respect. I am always super confident to leave him in their care, it feels like family, or better! If ever any issues arise I know I can express them openly and that they will always be dealt with swiftly and professionally. Thank you Hillside and long may our friendship continue.
Hillside Nursing Home is a very welcoming home, the carers are very friendly and accommodating, and the nurses as well. Sadly, I can't say the same for the newly appointed manager, she is very dismissive and comes across as non caring.
All staff have been so helpful, always having the time to keep you updated with what's happening.
Everyone is so kind to me.
Very good experience. Like it, will be back soon. Thanks again for your hospitality.
We could not be happier with the care our mother is receiving at Hillside. Without exception, be it a member of the cleaning team or someone in a management role, the staff are kind, compassionate and thoughtful and always have a smile and a friendly word. Having a family member in a nursing home can be a worrying time, but it is such a comfort for us to know that our Mum is safe and so well looked after. We would be confident to recommend Hillside to anyone.
The home was chosen for my friend because it had connections with the local Methodist Church, which takes services there and she needed to attend church regularly. I have found all the staff welcoming, approachable and willing to listen to me and have kept me informed about her care and welfare. She has been well cared for, ensuring her physical and psychological needs have been met. Overall, I have been satisfied with all aspects of the home.
I like Hillside Hillside Nursing Home it is good. Staff I prefer have a chat with care and residents.
While being looked after, being I found out staff are very patient and understanding. Everybody got on with their jobs and that's why you get a good working team.
You will never find a home more perfect than Hillside Nursing Home. Every staff member from the management team, cleaning, finance, admin and chef go above and beyond. I was so worried when my dad moved to a home so far from me. But I soon realised he was in the best place. If I had searched forever I would never have found anywhere more perfect. My dad has recently passed and they were supportive, helpful, compassionate and this was all departments of the inside not just care staff. They all made a difficult time so easy to cope with. You are all amazing.
I am only here for a short stay, possibly two weeks, prior to going to my home. My experiences to date have been exceptionally good with the staff so helpful and obliging. Hopefully, if my recuperation continues favourably I shall be okay to go home. However if things do not go to plan I would not hesitate to use your wonderful facility again.
The care given to my sister is excellent. Staff and carers couldn't be any better. Always very pleasant when we visit our sister. She is very happy there and now calls it her home. 100/100.
I attended a barbecue to celebrate the Queen's celebrations and noticed care given to everybody. A great afternoon.
This was my first time visiting my sister. She is very happy living there. The staff were very nice and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Welcoming with a cup of coffee. I would highly recommend the home.
