The staff are friendly and caring in such an underrated job. They deserve to be recognised for the challenging and hard work that they do. Helen the activities co-ordinater is an absolute asset providing entertainment, fun and genuine care for the residents well being.

OUTSTANDING CARE AND EXCEPTIONAL STAFF. I cannot praise the Shelburne Lodge enough for the outstanding care they provide. From the moment my mum was placed, the warmth compassion and professionalism of the entire team have been evident. The staff truly go above and beyond, treated my mum as if she was their own family. The carers and nursing staff both day and night shifts were always attentive, kind and ensured my mums comfort at all times. The Housekeeping team maintain a spotless and welcoming environment. The Head Chef always prepared delicious high quality meals for the residents. The activities offered were engaging and of a very high standard, keeping the residents entertained and stimulated. Management was always available and supportive. Myself and my entire family were all extremely grateful and highly recommend The Shelburne Lodge to anyone seeking a compassionate and professional environment for their loved ones.

I cannot thank Shelburne enough for the incredible compassion and care they provided for my grandmother in her final weeks. From the moment she arrived, the staff treated her with the utmost dignity, kindness, and respect, making sure she was comfortable and well cared for at all times. The team went above and beyond-not only attending to her medical needs but also offering emotional support, companionship, and warmth that meant the world to both her and our family. They kept us informed, reassured us when we needed it, and created a truly loving environment that made an incredibly difficult time a little easier. We will forever be grateful for the kindness and professionalism of everyone at Shelburne. They are not just caregivers; they are angels who provided my grandmother with dignity, comfort, and love in her final days. My grandmother's angels. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be treated like family.

Exceptional care and staff. Shelburne Lodge and all it's staff have provided outstanding care for my mother with warmth and treated with dignity, respect and compassion. The staff are all exceptional. All going above and beyond at all times. I cannot recommend Shelburne Lodge more highly!

Care, compassion and communication, non-existent. For all that they say they provide we never witnessed this. I'm just grateful that my nan is no longer there and that we removed her due to the broken promises made to us.

We were sold a dream but bought a nightmare too many failings to list the only positive point to come from my mother's brief stay at Shelburne Lodge is that she is now free to pursue her dream elsewhere. If anxiety, stress and frustration is what you're looking for then look no further your dream is here.

Mum was admitted to Barchester Shelburne Lodge Care Home directly from hospital. Shelburne Lodge has been fantastic in settling Mum, keeping us informed and supporting Mum's medical and physical needs. Their tolerance, patience and professionalism are of the highest standard. I found the care for my mother was excellent and had no worries. The food seemed excellent and the Christmas lunch last year (2023) was superb

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a wonderful home. The experience was delightful, largely due to the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Each member of the team went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and valued. The manager stood out as exceptionally approachable, always available to address any questions or concerns with a warm and attentive demeanour. The atmosphere of the home was inviting and inclusive, reflecting the dedication and care of the entire staff. Overall, my visit was truly enjoyable, and I left with a positive impression of the home's environment and the people who run it.

Mum moved into Barchester Shelburne Lodge Care Home in early June. Thank you to the manager and all the staff for welcoming Mum and us, as a family. Thank you for being so kind and supportive to us whilst we get used to Mum not being at home with us and for your patience in answering all our questions and concerns. Everyone is so friendly and understanding. The home is very nicely furnished and facilities are very good for the residents and family and friends are welcomed on a daily basis. Thank you.

We are extremely happy with the standard of care my mother receives at Barchester Shelburne Lodge Care Home. All of the staff are incredibly warm and caring and go out of their way to help the residents settle into life in the home. Would highly recommend.

I am very happy with the way my brother is treated in the care home. The staff are friendly, and the facilities are first class. The head of housekeeping is the most friendly person and is so helpful, she also looks after my brother and his partner. I look forward to seeing her when I come in.

The care Mum received has been truly wonderful, the staff are very caring and have treated us like family. Nothing has been too much trouble, and anytime Mum needs respite care we will be back.

My mum arrived at Shelburne Lodge on 9th December 2023. Instantly she was treated with kindness and respect. Me and my family were made to feel like one of the Shelburne family. The whole time we were there the management and staff were so kind and helpful to us. Unfortunately, my mum passed on 2nd Jan 2024 and was treated with dignity and kindness and helped us through a difficult time. Thank you for everything.

The management team were very welcoming and warm in explaining how Dad would fit in and what it would be like. All the staff nursing and healthcare had were very attentive and provided great care and spent time to know Dad. This has helped Dad settle into life at Shelburne. Dad takes part in activities which he enjoys. All the staff are happy to stop and help explain to us or Dad which is encouraging as this helps us know how Dad is feeling or anything which we can do.
