View Full Details of Stone House Nursing HomeI have been sitting here wondering what to say because it is almost unheard of to come across a business which is perfect. Bearing in mind that perfection does not exist, this nursing home, without question exceeds in every aspect of the provision of it's services. The most important being the absolutely genuine love and care that residents receive.
My wife suffers from late stage dementia. After falling ill with a blood infection she was taken into hospital. After three days she was discharged but the family realised where she lived was not suitable for her deteriorating condition. We found Stone House Nursing Home, contacted them and within two days she was taken in. The staff immediately comforted her and made her feel safe. All the staff are first class, polite, caring, kind and above all want to do the best for my wife.
Absolutely fantastic. All the staff were amazing, kind, compassionate and caring. The nicest nursing/care home ever. The only tip if one is needed is maybe new towels. Mum started here with strangers - and ended up leaving with friends and emotions saying goodbye.
I find Stone House to be a very friendly and professional place for my husband. They take great care of him and keep me informed as to how he is doing.
Stone House continues to look after Mum in a caring and professional way. They have this year built a lovely new garden and patio making the outside much more accessible. We had a lovely picnic on the patio for Mum's Birthday. The staff from the catering and activities teams are always looking to offer new ideas for the residents. A great nursing home.
All staff were kind and very friendly. This is a lovely old house in beautiful surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I have been very here and would recommend the home to anyone looking for good care.
The friendly, courteous and professional care given to my mother when she arrived with many medical issues, was a great start to her stay at Stone House Nursing Home. Her medical conditions require constant monitoring and any major changes are promptly communicated to relatives when appropriate. Her dietary needs are catered for (by the chef adapting the varied menu) and she participates (when she can) in some of the many activities provided by the home. It is reassuring to know she is being cared for by such a considerate and caring team in a peaceful county setting. My father was also a resident during the last months of his life and was also treated with great respect and professionalism.
Stone House Nursing Home has supported my Mother with warmth and excellent nursing care since April 2024. I visit the nursing home regularly and I find the staff welcoming and the care they provide my Mum gives me comfort and peace of mind. I know that Mum is receiving the best quality of care at Stone House that she deserves.
My husband has received very good care and treatment whilst at Stone House Nursing Home. The staff have been kind and caring and have even incorporates celebrating special events. He has appreciated his very pleasant room. The only negative point is the accessibility at the main door and the time that it sometimes takes to get up to his room for a person using a zimmer!
Stone House is a wonderful care home set in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. My mother is very well cared for. She always looks immaculate, with lovely polished nails and her hair always looks amazing. The staff are exceptionally caring and friendly, from the Manager down to the laundry lady. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My mother will recognise individual staff members and smile and wave to them, or even blow them kisses. She is very happy at Stone House. There are many activities laid on at the home. My mum finds it difficult to participate, but she loves the visiting singers and all forms of music. The food is excellently prepared by the resident Chef. There is a large and varied menu and residents do have some choices when they choose their meals. In short, all my family love the care home and we would happily recommend it to all our friends and relatives.
Lovely place in a great location. The building is well-kept and appreciated by the residents. All the staff are friendly and very caring of the residents. There are lots of activities from painting to animal visits to visiting singers that everyone enjoys. My mother-in-law always comments on how lovely the food is. The recent project to upgrade the patio and gardens is great. The summer fete was amazing with staff dressing up and a fabulous spread of food. Certainly a happy and well-respected home.
I am so happy with all the work, my dad has been really well looked after and I would tell my friend about the care home.
Stone House Nursing Home did a wonderful job of looking after both of my parents. The staff are wonderful and nothing was too much trouble.
The Stone House team are a marvellous set of people, from the manager, the nursing staff, the carers, the caterers, the odd job man and the cleaners! All seem to work to one aim - to make their residents' lives as good as they can be. They cared for my father with true affection, respect and dignity, never forgetting he was a person first and a patient second. They were always welcoming to friends and family and in many ways, just as caring about them as their residents. Sadly we lost my father after a short illness in hospital at the end of January, but I can honestly say that Stone House made the last few months of his life the best they could be. The Stone House team looked after my mother too before her demise at the age of 96, and her care was also exemplary. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
My wife has been a resident at Stone House Nursing Home for three and a half years. Throughout this time, the care she has received has been outstanding in all aspects. An exceptional nursing home.
All the staff have been welcoming and helpful from the first time we came to view the home to my father and all the friends and family who have come to see him. My father found his time in the hospital very difficult, and it has been so good to see him relax and settle since he moved to the home. We appreciate the level of everyday care that he is now experiencing.
I'm so pleased my mum is in Stone House. I think everything about it is top-notch - the staff, the rooms, the food and especially the activities - couldn't ask for better. It's the sort of home I hope my boys find me.
Very caring establishment with wonderful staff. Good accommodation and facilities with a full programme of activities for those able to participate. Nice grounds available for fresh air - weather permitting. The medical support provided has been exceptional and it is very reassuring to know one's relative is in such a comfortable and secure environment.
I have always found the staff to be helpful, genuinely caring and friendly. My mother has been a resident at Stone House for 18 months, and in that time, has enjoyed a wide variety of activities from crafts, music, animal visits (dogs, monkeys, alpaca and even penguins) to outings to the cinema, the local garden centre, the Christmas lights at Waddesdon Manor and many others. The food is very good, and once a month, we have lunch together in the dining room. The gardens are lovely, and with the improvements that are currently being made, they will be even better in 2024.
My mother was cared for in Stone House for the last couple of years. She has been very well looked after and the care team is excellent. The activities are created according to each resident's needs. The home is very clean and safe. I have always felt like being at home and the grounds are amazing.
