View Full Details of Edensor Care CentreMy mother spent a month here before she passed away. The staff were excellent, always helpful and caring and were very supportive when I wanted to take my mother out for the day. Always welcoming whatever time I came to visit. Really appreciate all the help that the staff gave to me and my mother.
Mum went into the care home in the spring of 2024. The staff are very caring all of the staff have made mum welcome, she may not have wanted to be welcomed but that is not the staff's fault! Of late mum has needed additional assistance which has been provided with no issues. We get regular phone calls giving us updates on mum's health.
My husband has been in Edensor Care Centre for the past year with alzheimers. In the last few days of his life, he and I were treated with the utmost care attention and love. Nothing was too much trouble. We were treated with dignity and can only express how grateful we have been to make those last few hours as comfortable as possible. I have been welcomed into the wonderful family atmosphere. I shall be forever grateful.
There aren't words to thank this home enough for the amazing care and compassion that they gave my dad whilst staying at the home. He sadly passed away and his last days were met with so much care and dignity from the staff I was overwhelmed. They opened their arms to us as a whole family and the whole time he was there he was treated so beautifully and fondly by all the staff "We might not be all about champagne and sparklers it is all about the care" a most fitting perfect phrase they are most definitely all about the care. I thank for from the bottom of my heart.
My nephew and I have been so pleased that we chose Edensor to care for his father and my brother. We cannot fault the standard of care that the team provides. The dining room is like a restaurant and always looks very nice. The food menu is very good, as is the quality. The bedroom he is in was decorated, and new bedding, curtains and pictures were added on his arrival. He is sometimes very confused and anxious, which can be quickly resolved by a cuddle and reassurance from the care team. I have witnessed some of the entertainment which is provided for the residents, which they all seem to enjoy. The home is run by an excellent management team. I cannot fault it.
Edensor is a very warm and welcoming home. The staff and management are always kind and caring. They keep you informed at all times of your loved one's highs and lows. They are very attentive to each user, monitoring very regularly. The home is kept warm and very clean, and the smell of good food is always there. The staff and management offer help with any authorities you may need to liaise with. I can't recommend Edensor highly enough.
My husband was in Edensor Care Centre for two years. I was very happy with his care. They kept me informed about everything. He was taken in during to covid lock down so zoomed me every week. His end-of-life care was excellent. The two nurses who were their on the last week were wonderful. They looked after him and also me. I was able to stay with him which is what I have always wanted so was there when he died. The rest of the staff were great and looked after us both as well.
A lovely friendly place for my dad to spend the last months of his life. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You are treated as family there. I was able to stay with dad until his final breath. I would recommend this place to anyone whose family is facing dementia and end-of-life care.
As a family member, I think it is very nice. Dad seems happy which is very important. They seem to make wishes come true and make sure Dad gets to do what he did before he came here. Dd always looks clean shaved and always tidy, the young girls and young men always have time for Dad even though they are always busy. The management always make sure of everything that is happening to Dad. ie. appoints that I am always aware of what's happening.
Excellent staff and care. Very clean with little touches to each individual room. Very attentive to visiting family members.
My mother and father were in this residence for 7 and a half years and 9 years and couldn't have been anywhere better. I have nothing but admiration and gratitude for management and staff.
We would like to thank all the staff who took care of our mum in the last weeks of her life. The care and compassion shown to us all especially Mum was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend. Thank you.
Dad was at Edensor for about six months. The home is well run. Dad was looked after extremely well. The staff are fantastic, and I mean all the staff, helpful, considerate and friendly. They always informed me of any issues and actions during Dad's stay. Thank you for looking after Dad.
The home is run very well, entertainments are provided, food is good and there is always a homely feel. I visit at irregular times and it is always the same. Staff are polite and very helpful. A really nice home.
My mum-in-law was a resident in Edensor Clacton from July 2020 - October 2021 when she sadly died. I cannot praise and commend enough the care that my mum-in-law was given. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They gave her such a wonderful celebration for her 90th Birthday. Everyone was always so caring, even to us as a family, especially as we live 200 miles away! I will never forget the wonderful end-of-life care you gave to Mum, putting in her room beautiful lights and making it so peaceful and calm. Thank you so much to all staff for your complete dedication and commitment, everyone goes over and beyond their duties.
I am very happy with the care given and would recommend Edensor Care Centre to anyone. They made my mother-in-law's last few months of her life very comfortable, treated her with dignity at all ties. The standard of care given was excellent by all.
I am extremely happy with the way my mum was looked after and cared for in this home, the staff were so helpful and very understanding and made my mum so comfortable in her stay and at end-of-life care. She could not have been better looked after in my opinion. I would recommend Edensor Care Centre to anybody.
As a visitor, I was encouraged to 'fit in' from my first visit. I was allowed into my husband's room where I was able to help to sort his clothes etc. This was a shared 'chore' that united us as a couple, it made us feel normal, close - united. I think it helped to give my husband a sense of self, he felt useful. All staff without exception were always courteous, helpful, kind, including the secretary and housekeeper.
The manager and his team at Edensor are truly amazing. Nothing is too great an ask. They treat each resident with the care and dignity they require, need and deserve. The team become an extended family. My grandmother spent two and a half years in their care, and I can not thank them enough.
My father has been at Edensor Clacton since early last year. Although it has been a difficult time for us all dealing with lockdown and the enforced separation of those we love, the staff at Clacton have done all in their power to keep my dad safe whilst keeping the family informed and privately dealing with their own isolation and heartache! Although our gratitude goes out to every member of staff a special thank you is sent to two staff members, on several occasions I have noticed a gentle hand placed on Dad's shoulder or fingers softly run through his hair with a smile and (love you) as they leave.....something I have been unable to do myself but have been so touched to see the staff do freely and genuinely, true professionals. Amazing people and a credit to the company. Care at its best. Thank you.
