View Full Details of Longmead Court Nursing Homewe moved my father here after being refused admission to his previous home after a hospital stay. The staff were friendly and supportive and within a short time he was happy and settled. His care needs were exceptionally dealt with and i was kept fully informed of any changes. As my father declined he was well supported and i was very happy we had made this move to longmead. we would highly recommend here for their family atmosphere and care.
My husband was admitted to Longmead Court Nursing Home from another medical facility for end-of-life care. I was anxious about the care he would receive as I'd had no choice in the placement. However, I quickly realised my concerns were unfounded. From his reception to his passing, he received dedicated care, as I have never witnessed before. The compassion and nursing skills combined allowed him to end his life peacefully and comfortably.
My nan has received great care since being in the care home. My nan has been very settled. My grandad visits my nan a few times a week and has always said how nice the staff are.
My mother was admitted to Longmead in March 2023 after a very stressful 3 weeks in hospital after a fall. The treatment she received once she arrived at the home, was excellent. She was dealt with in a very caring manner and all the staff are always helpful and friendly when you visit.
The staff at Longmead Court Nursing Home are amazing. The admin team and managers were friendly and approachable. The carers and nurses were so caring and looked after my dad with so much care and consideration of his needs. They also looked after us the whole way through we are just so grateful to all the staff at Longmead Court Nursing Home. Thanks again to everyone.
I write this review soon after my husband of 54 years has died following inoperable brain tumours. Life at the end was as good as it could be, thanks to the staff at Longmead Court. He was welcomed to Longmead from hospital, a very ill and unhappy man. The nursing staff instinctively knew how to talk to him and put him at ease, explaining what they needed to do and how they would care for him. He had hated being in hospital and this felt like a sanctuary to us both. He could be challenging but they saw through this to the man behind the brain tumour and gave him just incredible, respectful loving care. His bright sunny room became our home for the last 6 weeks. All the staff, from the caring admin staff, nurses, care staff and the cleaning, catering and ancillary staff could not have been more friendly and helpful to me and my family. They were careful to support us too, we felt we could talk to them about any worries and fears. Amazing committed people!
My wife was transferred here from the hospital after a hemiarthroplasty of a broken hip, successful but ruined by too-early discharge. In Longmead she needed dementia care and palliative wound care. Both were provided by a competent staff of nurses and carers very well.
My mother has been a resident at Longmead Court Nursing Home for five and a half years now. Our family has always found that it is a warm and friendly environment, and the staff treat the residents with dignity and respect. I have the peace of mind knowing that Mum is well cared for.
Our dad was placed in Longmead Court 3 weeks ago it was the only care home which would take him from the hospital. We are both so grateful to you. Our dad was cared for so well, 24 hour care one on one. The staff were absolutely amazing, gentle and caring. Our dad passed away with dignity and comfort and we could visit him whenever we wanted. We both feel so grateful to you all. Thank you.
I have found the staff to be most kind and caring, very attentive to my husband's needs. Nothing is done grudgingly and they treat my husband with respect.
Staff are caring and approachable. They are hardworking, and I am happy to leave my husband with them.
Kind and attentive staff. Very helpful.
Staff so welcoming, friendly, helpful. Remarkable staff/resident ratio. Staff show amazing patience towards those under their care with a wide variety of needs and challenging behaviour.
We can't praise the staff of Longmead Court highly enough for the excellent care they are providing for my mother. They are all very special people. They do their best to bring my mother suitable food - and, although she struggles to eat, everything is well cooked and tasty, and we are delighted with the care in preparation. Mother's room is beautifully decorated and pleasant to be in. It's always very clean. Thank you all so much for the care you provide.
The team at Longmead provided professional, personalised and thoughtful care to my lovely nanny and us as a family throughout her stay and through her passing. We considered moving Nan to a closer home (that was also significantly less costly) however she was so comfortable at Longmead and we were so happy with the care that we decided to have her stay and we’re so pleased we did. The end-of-life care and consideration was exceptional. The genuine, authentic extra care and kindness was unexpected and made what has been the most sad time a little more tolerable. Words can’t actually explain the difference the team made and we will be forever grateful. Thank you to every single person from the Longmead team who extended such kindness to the nanny and to us. We appreciate each and every one of you.
My visit to this care home was met with very helpful staff, there was always a member of staff on hand to help in any way. The atmosphere was cheerful and welcoming, nice and clean and smelled fresh. Not like the usual experience I have encountered before in some nursing homes.
Our experience of Longmead has been a happy one for our mother. Everyone is friendly and approachable. A clean and homely feel to the rooms. We could also ask the staff any questions at any time and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and the care was excellent.
I find the staff very helpful and caring. Any problems they ring to inform us to keep us in touch. My mother's room is well-decorated and always clean. Mum is always up and dressed and nearly always in one of the Day Rooms.
Completely satisfied with everything. Thank you all for being so caring.
My dad was only at Longmead Court for a short time having been discharged from hospital. All of my dealings with this care home in this time were first class and very professional. Dad had a pleasant room with a nice view and was cared for well. It's quite daunting to choose a care home for your loved one I would have no hesitation in recommending Longmead Court.
