View Full Details of Tall TreesMy Dad who is 93, has been a resident at Tall Trees for nearly two and a half years. We are very pleased with the level of care he receives. The facilities and the food are all excellent but the best aspect is the quality of the staff. Without exception they all know my dad acknowledge him whenever they see him and many make the time to speak to him on a regular basis. I take dad out for lunch once a week but he is always pleased to return to the place he calls home.
All the staff are very polite and very helpful, Im very happy with the care my wife recieves all the staff have a good understanding of my wife's needs and comfort her and reassure her when im not with there. The food is very good and I enjoy dinning with my wife when I am visiting I always feel very welcomed the service is restaurant quality. There is regular hairdresser and chirody visits in the home. The home offers regular events and im looking forward to my valentines brunch with my wife.
My husband is at Tall Trees. He has complex needs. They help with all his needs. He's well looked after. All carers are so helpful and kind. I visit every other day. He has settled down here at Tall Trees, they understand.
Bringing my mum to Tall Trees was the best decision we made, from the minute we were welcomed by the home manager and another staff member we were reassured that she would be looked after with genuine care. We were not disappointed! All staff, however busy, gave Mum the care and attention she needed. I also saw how they spoke to me and gave comfort to other residents too, with patience. Mum went through an end-of-life period that was very hard for all. The staff were professional and understanding, they were determined to minimise Mum's (and my) discomfort and pain. I cannot fault the staff and management.
We are very pleased with all the care from the manager and all the nurses and all the carers that are doing a brilliant job for our family member. They all keep us up to date and put their heart into the job. We would like to thank them for all the hard work they are doing.
I am very impressed with the way Tall Trees are taking care of my mum. My mum has Alzheimer's and had aggressive outbursts when she first arrived, however the staff were fantastic with her and helped her to settle into her new home with patience and understanding. The staff are all very caring and conscientious and are extremely welcoming to families. We are always greeted in a friendly manner by all staff members. We are kept up to date with regular meetings and the staff are always available to answer any questions. The care home is always clean and tidy, which cannot be an easy task. The meals are varied and the quality and choice are always very good. There's a full daily activity programme for those residents who would like to participate. Overall, our experience has shown Tall Trees staff are dedicated and compassionate throughout the home. I would therefore recommend Tall Trees Care Home to anybody who is looking for a care home for a loved one.
I am very pleased with the standard of care provided by Tall Trees for my mother who has Alzheimer's and is active and takes an interest in what is going on. In particular, the range of exercise activities, music, craft work, outings and general entertainment is very good and the staff promote the participation of residents. The staff followed up my suggestions for particular activities based on her personal interests, arranged a lovely birthday tea for when we visited and even took her to a 'cat cafe' in the minibus as she had been reminiscing about the pet cats she had as a girl.
My husband has been a resident at Tall Trees for almost 2 years and I have witnessed him receiving excellent care during this period. His behaviour at times can be challenging but the whole team handle him in a professional and caring manner. The staff at Tall Trees create a safe and happy environment for all the residents.Where it is possible everyone will do their utmost to fulfil any requests for example decorating the bedrooms, meal requests, trips out, activities, all of which have been honoured to my husband. Thank you to the whole team at Tall Trees.
Our friend has now been at Tall Trees for nearly two years. This is my second review and I stand by all the comments made before in that the care and kindness is exemplary. Only staff with fitting qualifications and attitudes are chosen and I have the highest respect for them. They care for the residents varying ailments but at the same time work to make Tall Trees feel like a home, Every day there are activities and regularly outings in the mini-bus, The friendship of the chefs and the gardener and the caretaker, all add to the family atmosphere. They all know the names of the residents and chat happily to them when they meet. I have learnt that the care goes beyond that of the residents. It spreads to the families of the residents, offering them support at what is often such a sad and difficult time in their lives and the manager always has time to talk to us and help should we need her advice or support. My sincere thanks to the team for looking after our friend so well.
My mother receives the best of care at Tall Trees. It is very well run and staff are hardworking, conscientious and fully committed to their work. The food is good and well thought out and the premises are very clean.
Tall Trees was my first experience and interaction with the care system, and although there were several difficulties along the way I feel that the manager and staff were trying to meet the needs of my dad's dementia and challenging behaviour. Don't expect miracles immediately - it takes time for staff to get to know how will be the best way to care for each individual's needs, and likewise, it takes time for the resident to build their trust around their new environment and 'care home family', which we always found to have a calm, warm and homely atmosphere.
All the staff are kind caring and patient and are concerned for the relatives. My husband's room looks out onto the garden which he enjoys. He can sit outside in the garden as there are a number of seats. The choice of meals is excellent and there is a light airy dining area and lounge. The staff are very concerned that my husband should not fall as he tried to get himself up but they are there to assist him. As a family, we are pleased and relieved about the very good overall care he is receiving.
I visited my relative and was so pleased to discover a united team happy helpful and professional. Food/drink was varied. The cleanliness was excellent. The garden was an excellent bonus. But the overriding compassion of the staff was outstanding from the cleaners to the management - I cannot express how much this means as I live a distance away - so knowing she was in safe hands was of great importance. Thank you!
If I have to talk to anyone about my mother's care, I have gone to the manager and she gets on to it right away and she will get it sorted as she has been the same with me. I don't think she could do any more than she is doing, she is a lovely manager and always has a talk with me and pops in to see Mum in the mornings. It's a lot of money, but I know my mum is looked after.
I visited my neighbour today and the change in him was fantastic in the very short period of time that he has been in Tall Trees. He talked for 20 minutes about various subjects i.e. family/football/TV/and the village. This is the very first time he has spoken to me since early December! Well done to you all! And thank you.
My wife has been cared for at Tall Trees for nearly four years and has and is getting very good care in a very friendly and caring family orientated and seems to be very happy.
My mother has been in Tall Trees for a few months and I am honestly impressed. There is plenty of friendly, cheerful staff around at all times and the place has a really pleasantly busy and lively atmosphere. There are always people milling about and things going on. This helps the environment remain lively and interesting for the residents. My mother is well cared for, the food is good, the rooms all have lovely views of the gardens and the manager is always accessible and friendly. The star knocked off for facilities is because the minibus has been out of action for many months, leaving the residents without means of going out on any excursions, which was advertised. I believe it is mended now but yet to be used much.
From the day my wife arrived at Tall Trees I found everyone there empathetic and very caring. This has been continuous. There is a high level of professionalism.
My father has been a resident here for nearly ten years. Dementia is a cruel condition and it is natural for him to have gone up and down as he goes through the different stages of the condition. However, I have always felt the care staff have done a fantastic job looking after him. I live overseas and visit whenever I can but he has always looked clean and tidy and well cared for. I receive regular updates about how he is doing via email. The manager has always been fantastic and makes me feel welcome when I visit. No one would want their relative to have dementia but he's definitely in the right place to ensure he is as safe as possible and cared for by the great staff.
My wife has been struck down with early-onset vascular dementia. She is frequently aggressive and physically violent. Yet somehow, the carers still see past her behaviour to look after her with kindness and compassion. These things start at the top, which means the manager. Sadly, I am not allowed to identify them. But if you visit Tall Trees, you will meet her.
