View Full Details of Langley LodgeAlthough Mum was only at Langley Lodge for the last two weeks of her life, she was treated with care and respect. She was washed every day, her hair brushed, her teeth cleaned and clean clothes every morning. After months of being in hospital where for obvious reasons, personal care takes a back seat. Mum was given her dignity back at the end.
My dad came to Langley Lodge after a stay in hospital. He was sent there for palliative care and we were unsure whether this was a suitable place for him. We need not have worried as he was shown care and compassion by all the staff and this was also extended towards visiting family and friends. My mum, brothers, grandchildren and wider family would like to thank all the lovely staff for looking after Dad and treating him with the utmost dignity and respect. Nothing was too much trouble, thank you so much.
My mum came to Langley from hospital in May and was in need of quite a lot of care. Over the past three months the staff have helped her get mobile again; healed an ungradeable bed sore and given her back her confidence to be independent. All of the staff are incredibly caring, kind and treat Mum with love and dignity. The food is freshly prepared and home-cooked and excellent quality - nothing is too much trouble for the residents. The home is always clean and the communal areas filled with flowers and welcoming. The volunteers who come in to carry out activities are also amazing - pamper days; themed nights - it really makes the residents feel special. They have truly worked miracles in making Mum well again! I will be forever grateful for their help giving us back our mum and I know that she will miss them all lots when she goes home. A truly outstanding care home.
My terminally ill dad arrived at the lodge in an emergency and was warmly welcomed. The staff were fantastic, they were caring and compassionate at all times, nothing was too much trouble. They took great care of my dad in his last couple of weeks and even though we were visiting they took good care of us as well. Would highly recommend.
Langley Lodge cared for my dad for 4 weeks after a diagnosis of stage 4 brain tumors. The staff were amazing and so caring, just like family. They treated him with dignity, respect and also love. When the time came and my dad passed, there was no hurry and the staff said to take as long as you would like to say goodbye. I would 100% recommend Langley Lodge to anyone looking for a care home.
The staff absolutely make Langley Lodge, the care, the thoughtfulness, the empathy, their knowledge and their want to go above and beyond astounded me. We are truly thankful that Mum's last few days were spent at Langley Lodge and that brings us a lot of comfort.
My dearest friend went to stay in Langley Lodge. She was end of life. The commitment of staff made her three weeks there very happy. The home is a bit tatty and needs a refurbishment, but right from the medically trained staff, carers, housekeepers, kitchen and maintenance, all were fantastic! A lot of the staff have been there some time, which says it all... a good environment to work in. Thank you, Langley Lodge; you all deserve a pat on the back!
Thank you to everyone who cared for my grandad for the last seven months of his life. My mum was worried about choosing a care home for him, but she made the right choice. The staff here are amazing. My grandad loved all the staff, and they treated him with care and dignity. The home was always spotlessly clean and always smelt fresh and clean.
A care home that really cares. We got to spend 5 special days and nights with our nan as she passed all thanks to the safe here. Who went above and beyond to care for us in such a sad time. All the safe are friendly, happy to help and caring. The home is clean and homely. Thank you.

Originally I felt apprehensive about my mother going into a nursing home, however the staff at Langley Lodge completely put my concerns at right. From the warm welcome received on day 1, right through the 3 months of care, the whole team made us feel reassured and at ease. We cannot thank the team enough for the way they looked after my mum's every need. A team of angels.

Comfortable and clean room. Good service and food. Not told when to get up or go to bed. Staff effective but not intrusive. Very comfortable here.
The staff at Langely Lodge made my mum's final two weeks as comfortable as possible. They looked after her really well. Nothing was too much trouble. My parents went into Langley Lodge together; my dad is still a resident (he has dementia), and he is well looked after too. Langley Lodge is one of the more expensive nursing homes in the area but is rightly highly rated, however.
My aunt was in a very bad way when she arrived at Langley Lodge due to being in a previous care home who gave her no care. Since arriving at Langley, she is back to her old self - Happy, Smiling and loving everybody at Langley Lodge. I did not think she would reach her 97th birthday, but thanks to everybody at Langley she is still going strong. The change in her is remarkable. Due to the wonderful caring staff. Thank you so much.
