View Full Details of Andover Nursing HomeMy relative has been at Andover for almost 5 years and has been superbly cared for in that time. High professional standards, compassion, connection and well run behind the scenes. All the nurses are familiar with her case, and through all the challenges have been able to provide her with safety, dignity and comfort. Thank you Andover!.
Wonderful staff who have provided excellent care throughout a traumatic time for our family. Everyone from reception through to nursing, care and catering team treated my husband and visiting family with so much respect and kindness. We will all be forever grateful.
I cannot fault Andover Nursing Home. There rooms, standard of cleanliness and facilities are all excellent but it is the team there that provides the biggest differentiator to other care/nursing homes I have visited. From the greeting at reception to the care provided from there on (patient and visitors) was truly exceptional. Smiling and caring people everywhere.
All staff are amazing, can't do enough for us all and looking after Dad. I have never felt so at home in a care home before.
The most efficient, compassionate and relaxing environment. The best-run care home I've visited and considering I have worked in the industry I have very high standards. The staff are very knowledgable and flexible of needs. I would live here if I could! They make our visits so easy and happy!
The care our stepfather received over the past 4 years has been outstanding - from the initial meeting with Matron before his emergency arrival, to his gentle and peaceful final days. Andover Nursing Home became a real home to him, with the staff making sure they got to know who he was and what he liked, and understanding his medical and wellbeing needs. Our family and visitors have been welcomed at all times, and we were kept well informed of any changes to his care. The nursing staff adapted constantly to my stepfather's slow decline in physical and mental health, respecting his dignity at all times. The link to the local doctors and surgery was professional and timely, often anticipating needs. The staff work seamlessly together as a team, always with a smile - it feels like one big family. The excellent leadership and safe environment filter down through the place, resulting in an outstanding nursing home. Thank you to all who cared for our stepfather - he loved you all!
Looking after the elderly and infirm is something most of us have thankfully little experience of. Personally, I doubt I could do it which makes my admiration of the people who choose this as a profession all the stronger. Apart from dealing with the mucky bits and the frustrating bits and the heart rendering caring for people who are approaching their final days, there is capacity in the Andover Care Home staff to show compassion, care and understanding. From top to bottom, this is a fantastically well-run place that repeatedly gains an Outstanding award from the CQC. Forget about all the recent criticism over a one-word assessment as in this case that one word says it all. In my view, my sister-in-law got very very lucky to find a place here. I try to express my appreciation to the staff by way of some chocolate and carrots (for matron's horses) by feeling, in comparison, my rating is inadequate, you all deserve far more. Thank you. P.S. Outstanding is only given to a very small percentage.
I can't begin to explain how amazing this establishment is. My mum and I have been warmly welcomed by everyone, since walking in the door on the day we went to look round. All staff bar none are absolutely worth their weight in gold. The care they provide is sensational and it is very reassuring for me to know and see that she is being so well cared for. I cannot thank you all enough. To the matron and manager, please pass on my absolute gratitude for looking after Mum so beautifully.
My mother has been here for nearly three years now and is very happy. The home is beautiful, her room spacious clean and homely and the carers are all fantastic, nothing is too much for them. I am relieved knowing that she is being so well looked after and that she is happy and content.
My mother has been a resident at Andover Nursing Home for over two years. I feel incredibly grateful to all the staff who take such great care of her. The kindness and love given to Mum and all the residents is truly remarkable. That wonderful spirit of caring is given to visitors and families as well. The home is always spotless and a great effort is made to make activities fun. Thank you everyone!
My uncle has resided in Andover Nursing Home for four and a half years. He has seen Covid times and pre and post-living. The quality of the care has been fantastic in all this time. As a family, we could not have asked for more. Knowing that he was safe and looked after in such a caring way and kept occupied by the activities staff was a great peace of mind. If asked, I would certainly recommend.
Our son aged 48 has lived in Andover Nursery Home for over three years. It is unusual for a younger person to need care in a nursing home and as his parents we worried how he would fit in. He is kind and gentle and absolutely loves the happy, positive and calm nature of life there. The house is delightful, the staff are exceptional. They are friendly and respectful to those in their care and go the extra mile to provide a comfortable safe and clean environment, in a professional, and positive way. Nothing is too much trouble there is always a can-do attitude. The food is lovely the entertainment is plentiful, varied and exceptionally good. There is ample opportunity for us to talk with the staff offsetting any worries or join in with the activities and support our son. He phones us full of excitement, especially on Fridays - Happy Hour, Fish and Chips and Friday is his favourite day. The staff also sit and talk with him making sure his needs are met as sometimes it takes him a while to remember what he wants to say. We are indebted to the matron and her wonderful staff.
Mum was a resident for nine years. In her final months, Mum was not able to wash, dress or feed herself. The wonderful staff cared for all her needs with compassion and love. During her final days, they made her comfortable and kept her peaceful. The staff were outstanding in the way that they cared and often popped in to say hello or sit with Mum for a few minutes. Thank you to all our Andover Nursing Home.
The home is clean and smells lovely. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The residents are well looked after.
Wonderful, caring nursing home, offering support and activities to all at the home.
Excellent care and staff. Very warm, welcome always.
Warm welcome, have felt very welcomed by all the staff and residents. The room is in a lovely situation and the gardens are wonderful. All communal areas are immaculate. On the whole, the food is very good with plenty of choice. Settled quickly and very well.
My dad gets brilliant 24-hour support from very friendly and caring staff.
Mum lived here for nearly 7 years and what an amazing and lovely home it has been for her. In the latter years, she was unable to respond in any meaningful way to anyone due to advanced dementia but she was loved and cherished by the fantastic staff, she remained a person to them to the very end. Mum was treated with dignity and compassion, her every need was met, her comfort paramount. We were well supported during her final hours and the kindness and respect shown was above and beyond expectation. This is a truly excellent home with really wonderful staff and I cannot thank them enough for all they did for our much-loved Mum.
Very caring and friendly staff. Everyone is very kind. My mother's room is spotless as are all the other areas of the home. She can ask for help with anything she needs and this is done with kindness. My mother is very happy there.
