View Full Details of Court LodgeMy father was a resident for just over 3 years. His care was exceptional and he was very happy at the home. At his birthday party in November, the staff had decorated one of the lounges and many came in and sang happy birthday to him. He was taken ill on 21st December and I was informed. The ambulance was called, but according to our wishes and a pre-arranged plan, he was not taken to hospital, but stayed within the familiar surroundings. My daughter and I sat with him Christmas Eve and Day and the staff were brilliant. It must be so hard for them encouraging other residents to enjoy the Christmas spirit, while being attentive, caring and so respectful to the dying and their relatives and it was obvious they too were affected by losing one of their family. He died peacefully early on Boxing Day and the nurses and carers were wonderful in how they looked after him and sympathised with us. He could not have wished for a more gentle end in the place he called home.
There is never anything but a warm welcome from the staff and a genuine care for their residents. Plenty of activities to get involved in daily, and always a buzz of happiness. This is the third care home my mother in law has resided in and by far the best. It's such a blessing to know she is spending her final years in such a warm, caring place and you never feel that anything is too much trouble. The decor, the food, the cleanliness and the staff really make it a fabulous place.
I cannot express enough the peace of mind and trust we as a family have in Court Lodge for looking after Mum when she comes for respite care. Not only do they care for their client, but they also care and respect their client's loved ones, always accommodating requests, excellent care, communication and reassurance. Above all, it's the staff's exemplary standard of care and approach to clients that stands out, ensuring whilst Mum can't communicate well, she is always included and respected. Mum is greeted like a family member, and there is a warm, inviting and caring atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff who make our visits to Court Lodge feel safe, cared for and respected.
Thanks for looking after my Dad so well in the last month of his life. He was happy there and felt very well looked after. The Manager was a Godsend to me. Her professionalism and warmth on a personal level, made it all much easier. From my point of you, having cared for him myself for over a year, it took the pressure off me completely and in fact, the nurses reminded me to take some time now for myself. I didn't have to worry about shopping, making meals, all the doctor appointments ( as the brilliant Dr came into the home), cleaning, washing, changing beds - anything - it was priceless. I got to be Dad's daughter again for the end of his life and Court Lodge took over everything brilliantly, stress-free, and very dignified. A special thanks to the Nurse who always kept me updated on Dad's health. Very central to Lymington and sea. It is decorated beautifully, stunning garden, and is one of the nicest homes I have seen. Thanks for everything you did for my Dad.
It was a hard decision to move my mum into a care home, she was very nervous about it and unsure that she wanted to go however, the minute she walked into Court Lodge, she has been made so welcome. Mum absolutely loves every aspect of living here, it is so homely and friendly, she tells everyone she speaks to how lucky she is. I am totally reassured by the regular updates from the whole team from how she has enjoyed the many activities provided to the lovely meals, she has actually put on weight since living there. The nursing team are very proactive with regular care reviews and suggestions to keep her safe and well. The home manager is very involved with the residents and always makes time to catch up with visitors. One member of staff in particular, from the companion team ensures a wide range of events and activities which are inclusive for all, Mum particularly loves the minibus trips around the national park which bring back many happy memories. Thank you to all for keeping Mum well and happy.
The staff are wonderful - patient, caring and kind. It was very reassuring to know that Dad was in such good hands. Nothing was too much and he couldn't have been in a better place in the last stages of his life. When he passed away a difficult situation was made much easier than it might have been by the professionalism and genuine concern shown. Thank you very much.
Court Lodge is a lovely, friendly and warm home. All the staff are smiling and happy and nothing that I ask for is too much trouble. Everyone, from the home manager, ably assisted her senior team, are very hands-on with what residents needs and cares are. The nursing staff are very good at keeping in touch with relatives and regularly reviewing a resident’s care and medical needs. The facilities are very good and they can even accommodate special requests, such as a large room with garden access to celebrate my father’s 100th birthday last September, including a wonderful tea party and catering. My father had tried another care home but this one is, without doubt, the best for his needs. Me, as his only child, feels very much that a great weight was lifted from my shoulders when he became a resident at Court Lodge almost a year ago. Well done team Court Lodge and team Colten!
My mother was a resident at Court Lodge for just over 2 years and in that time I can honestly say we never had a single concern regarding her care. All the staff were caring and competent and always willing to answer any questions we had. My mother passed away in the home in September and again I cannot fault the end of life care she received, we were always kept informed of her condition and nothing was too much trouble when we visited. I would have no hesitation in recommending Court Lodge.
After complications with heart surgery, a long stay in hospital and ongoing complex medical and physical needs, my 78-year-old father stayed at Court Lodge on two separate occasions in 2022 and 2023. From our initial contact onwards, the team were understanding, responsive and very flexible. At a time of uncertainty with my father’s first hospital discharge, Court Lodge was able to provide a level of comfort and support so that when the move was finally possible, they were ready to welcome him. Having access to a safe and comfortable environment, with qualified medical support on-site, was critical for us. Although well enough to leave the hospital, his severely depleted state meant that specialist care was needed that we were not qualified to give. Court Lodge offered us the optimal ‘bridge’ to get him better placed to return home. At such a challenging time, the CL team were ever-present with a smile and kind word, going above and beyond to help us at such a difficult time.
My father is a resident of Court Lodge in Lymington and in March he was 99. The staff helped us to organise a special surprise tea, they provided all the food and cake, decorated the room and kept it all secret. Dad doesn’t have many friends who are still alive so having a lovely group of special people to make such a fuss of him was really appreciated. It doesn’t feel like this is just a job for the staff. They really want to do everything they can for their residents. They made the day quite unforgettable.
Everyone has been so kind and helpful in looking after my father in respite care, very thoughtful and sympathetic to the unknown aspects of his stay. Providing good clinical and residential services, allowing his family to regroup for his care needs with total confidence in his well-being.
Our 93-year-old mother went into Court Lodge to recuperate after hospitalisation following a fall in August 2022. Mum enjoyed it so much she decided to stay! The manager heads Court Lodge along with others in Reception, administration, and the member of staff leading the red coats with a varied weekly programme of activities. Plus the happy team of nurses, carers, ancillary staff and catering team, and also the gentleman busy and cheerful in the lovely gardens. All work very hard to support one another to ensure the best possible standard of care for the residents. It is a truly uplifting and dedicated environment with all colleagues working together to excel and perform above expectations.
My mother has been a resident at Court Lodge Care Home for three months, following a short stay in hospital. I cannot praise it highly enough. From the warm and friendly welcome to the care and attention she receives from all the staff. There are plenty of daily activities to keep her busy and a beautiful, cosy room if she wishes for peace and quiet. The chef is excellent and my mother says the food is delicious. She enjoys taking her meals in the dining room at lunchtime and in her room in the evening. Communication from the management team is faultless and the staff are always cheerful and pleasant. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for residential care.
My mother who had oesophageal cancer came into Court Lodge Care Home for palliative care on 25/01/2022. It was then apparent to me that I had taken too much on looking after her in her own home. The feeling I had knowing that she was safe and well looked after was overwhelming. Mum was not a mixer, loved to chat to the staff who came to her. She was an interesting lady. Never moaned and always said thank you. Mum, despite just being on lemon water/sugar, kept defying the odds. She started to deteriorate after her 93rd birthday (17/06). The end-of-life care from then on was exceptional. She was never in pain, her anxiety issues were well managed. I, as a relative, was made to feel as part of her care team which was wonderful. Mum died peacefully on 07/07/2022. Thank you to the manager and to all the staff who work so well as a team.
I found the home to be well-run, the staff efficient, helpful, and kind, and the overall atmosphere seemed very positive. There were plenty of activities for those who wished to participate, including trips out. There’s a lovely garden, giving residents the opportunity to get outside. An advantage of the home is that it can accommodate those who need a rest home, and also those who need nursing care, giving the opportunity for residents to be able to stay there if their circumstances change.
All of the staff are very helpful, nothing seems too much trouble for them. Dad is really happy with the care and assistance he receives and always tells me how much he enjoys the meals. He loves the mini bus trips and finds it an easy way of getting out and about.
I couldn’t be more happy with the quality of service and care given to my mother since she has been at Court Lodge Care Home. Her needs are met at every turn - from the food she needs to the thoughts ahead to end of life. As family members, we are well looked after and cared for at this difficult time too. A true five-star rating.
I was so impressed by the warmth, helpfulness and thoughtfulness of every member of staff I had contact with when I went to visit my friend. My friend, a recent arrival, feels safe and confident in the care and relationships she has with the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. So impressed. Thank you.
I visited a dear friend and was delighted to find how brilliant the home is - exactly like a home. The staff are all very friendly and helpful...nothing was too much trouble. I witnessed how caring and helpful the staff were towards my friend. When I left I felt very happy to leave my dear friend in such a great place. Thank you so much.
My mother joined Court Lodge Care Home a year ago. This was a difficult decision to make. Having said that, in the last year she has been so well cared for and has company 24-hours a day. The actual care is excellent - from reception who are always helpful and smiley. Nurses and health care assistants who are kind and professional. Kitchen staff and waiting staff who provide wholesome food with encouragement and a friendly cuppa and a treat in my mum's room. My mum's room is always immaculate and the laundry beautifully washed and ironed. The grounds are well kept and residents encouraged to plant and water small areas and walk. The entertainment staff are great, always enthusiastic. Good communication from management which is vital.
