View Full Details of Greenbanks Care HomeSince the staff and management underwent changes this year, the care is noticeably more engaged with the residents. Staff are friendly towards visitors. My mother-in-law had a birthday and much effort was put in by staff to give her a good time. Also, a very successful BBQ was held on another occasion for everyone.
The atmosphere is cheerful when we visit and the staff are always welcoming and, more importantly, are attentive and caring with the residents. They have good activities - last week they had a couple of outings - our mother was taken with a group of the residents for a river trip on a barge. They all had a good time. The residents and their families and the staff are getting ready for a summer party with entertainment that will be held next weekend.
An excellent caring home with staff that really care. Lovely rooms, nicely decorated with a wonderfully calm atmosphere. Stepdad has only been staying for a few months but was constantly reassured by staff to help him settle in. Staff communication throughout his settling-in period was first class - thank you.
Following an outbreak of sickness and diarrhoea, my mother was quite unwell and continues to be, although slowly improving, the care and compassion of the staff have been wonderful, attentive and caring, Thank you. The food for lunch is a little hit and miss for Mum, she preferred the other female chef prior to the new chef, and issues like meat cut to thick ham, beef etc, (she can’t cut with the knife supplied, too blunt) too much mash potato, not enough variation, appreciate there is a wide variety of different needs however my mum will go without rather than ask for help. She cannot afford to lose any weight.
Amazing staff, always so helpful in every way. Residents always smiling and happy. The house is always clean and tidy. Smells nice throughout. Such a lovely atmosphere to be in. Lovely garden area to sit out in. Just an amazing place to be, home from home.
From the moment we walked in it felt right, very much at home. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is good. The carers are very friendly and helpful. My wife is always dressed well and kept clean.
My wife is, unfortunately, suffering from dementia, Alzheimer's with delusions. Prior to coming to Greenbanks she had endured an appalling time for some 9 months, But since she has been here she has received the most amazing care from, the manager and all the people who work there, they go beyond the norm. Nothing seems to be too much trouble when she becomes anxious or depressed, they find the things she has lost and reassure her that my sons and I are coming to see her, they also put up with us when we need to make or change an appointment. All in all they are a truly caring operation and I strongly recommend Greenbanks to anyone who is looking for a home from home.
My mum receives the best possible care at Greenbanks. She is treated and respected as an individual, with all her quirks, likes and dislikes taken into consideration. I feel comforted to know that Mum is where she needs to be, with 24-hour support from a warm, friendly and professional team.
My mother is very happy at Greenbanks and gets on extremely well with most of the staff. I find the staff approachable, happy, and friendly and I have developed a good relationship with most of them. Some staff members are particularly skilled, knowledgeable, and are very very caring. The Manager and the Deputy Manager are very approachable and available to discuss any concerns. Overall we are very happy with the care my mother receives. During the Covid pandemic, I cannot praise the Manager enough for her proactive approach to keeping my mother and other residents safe throughout. The Manager kept me fully informed as to the plans during this time, although difficult and not being able to see my mother for very long periods of time, it was worth the sacrifice to keep her safe. I was able to speak to my mother on the phone every day and to visit using the pod. Now things have opened up I am more than happy to have a lateral flow test before visiting and the team has this system working very well.
My Mum was transferred from home to Greenbanks about 12 months ago. She was really struggling to look after herself and we all made the decision that it would be best for her to stay. Since then she has loved her time there and doesn't want to leave. It is so homely and the staff there are magnificent. Highly recommended.
My Mum moved into Greenbanks last July, quite a worrying thing as Care Homes during Covid had been hit so hard. Also a very big step for Mum and me as Mum had lived independently all her life although more recently having care visitors to her home. It was with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's, and also Sun Downing plus loneliness that made us decide to move her to Greenbanks. From me being scared to now being so happy is massive. My Mum's life is so much better now she has full-time care. The people at Greenbanks are so lovely, I mean I truly love them for the care and consideration they give Mum. Mum has made lovely friends with both the residents and staff and I love the fact whenever I phone or visit she seems happy. Since I've only known Greenbanks during Covid I can't praise them highly enough for keeping residents safe but also looking after their wellbeing by allowing safe visiting within guidelines. They are amazing at keeping me informed and no request ever seems too much trouble.
Staff are always happy and very helpful. I'm pleased my mother has settled in so well thanks to the care she is receiving. The place always looks clean and fresh and the staff always call me to let me know what's happening.
My mother entered Greenbanks in June 2020. She was made very welcome and soon settled with all staff appearing to be considerate to her needs. The communication with the care home causes me no concerns as I realise they have my mother's interests at heart. During the pandemic, the care has been well thought through with residents always being the top of Greenbanks' priorities. The manager and staff are always accommodating of any requests I make and concerns are quickly attended to or discussed for the best resolution. My mother appears to feel safe and secure, which is my priority. It is a small care home with a friendly approach.
My father has been in Greenbanks for approximately 2 years. The standard of care there is first class, the room is clean, the food is plentiful and to a high standard. Since the building work the whole place looks very smart, bright and clean. The staff are very helpful and caring and nothing is too much trouble even throughout these difficult times. I have the confidence to know my father is in a very good and caring place and being well looked after, so much so that I have a friend who is also in there now and despite medical problems is happy and also very well looked after.
All the staff are very kind, caring and considerate.
The staff and management at Greenbanks are all passionate about the care and wellbeing of each and every resident. The decor and building work still needs attention but can see slow progress. The residents and particularly my mum are central to everything the staff do. With personal, sensitive care, often thinking outside the box to give the best care.
I was worried about having to go into a care home. Well no more, the staff were amazing, I was so well looked after and made to feel so welcome. The food was lovely and staff always smiling, nothing was to much trouble. Greenbanks changed my view of a care home.
I have been so worried in finding a care home for my husband who had been in hospital with a bad chest infection. When he got better, they advised to find him a care home. One of the social workers suggested Greenbanks and I could not have found a better one. The care they give to my husband has been wonderful. I cannot ask for more.
Moving into care was extremely daunting but the staff at Greenbanks made the transition so much more pleasant and easy than I had anticipated. The care is truly individual and the staff are genuinely concerned for the welfare of residents and their families. I feel welcome to visit anytime and have been overwhelmed by the commitment of all the staff. Sympathy and empathy are evident all the time and staff go out of their way to ensure the health and welfare and happiness of residents. Response to any concerns is immediate.
Our mother, dying with terminal cancer and at the very old age of 96 years, was extremely let down by Hampshire County Council services. We found our mother a lovely home where we hoped she could spend her last few months in peace and relaxation, Greenbanks in Liphook. After meeting the manager and staff at Greenbanks our minds and hearts were set on this being our mother’s last home from home, the atmosphere is relaxed and geared at being a family home, the staff are caring, friendly, and helpful. I recommend Greenbanks without any reservations at all.
