Very helpful.
Little Haven is well named! It really is a haven. Everyone is so kid and helpful and cheerful, nothing is too much trouble. A lovely team.
I like being there. All the carers are very nice. Always helpful.
Home is very good.
Very good, makes you feel welcome.
Our Mum has been at Little Haven for 18 months now and is looked after well. The rooms are kept clean and she is able to be surrounded by her own things from home. The staff are very friendly and mostly seem to know Mum well and are very welcoming to us when we visit. The management team have worked very hard to create welcoming communal areas such as the coffee area, the pub and the movie and arts and crafts room. The activities team always put on a good variety of games and entertainment for the residents and we are made very welcome to join in if we are visiting at the time. The staff are very good at encouraging Mum to join in! Overall Mum is treated with kindness and understanding for which we are very grateful.
My mother is looked after well. The rooms are clean and the food is good. The outside facilities are not so good. Communication is variable. Not all staff seem to know the residents very well. On the whole, my mother's needs are met and I would no want to move her elsewhere.
My wife was in Little Haven for about a month for end-of-life care. It would be difficult to criticize any aspect of her care. The nursing and caring staff had a real empathy with my wife and also for me at a very difficult time. I couldn't have asked for anything more.
The staff are kind and treat my mother with respect. She enjoys the activities provided. There are plenty of communal spaces to enjoy company and make friends. The home is clean and my mother is well provided for. We are happy with Little Haven.
My grandmother has been at Little Haven since last year and her moving into a care home has not been an easy decision for her, but Little Haven has made her and us as a family feel comfortable and feel at home, visiting my gran at Little Haven is like visiting her at home. I can go and make us a cup of tea and an offer of a piece of cake is always there. If my gran is involved in an activity when we come to visit we are very much welcome to take part in the activities so my gran does not miss out. The staff are always so friendly from management to care staff and domestic staff, care homes don't always get good press but Little Haven deserves to be highly recommended and spoken highly of.
My late sister was in your care for too short a stay. Sadly my sister was never ever able to enjoy the facilities, not even the new bar! I just wanted to thank you all for the attention, care and above all kindness that was shown to her at all times. Well done to all at Little Haven.
I’d like to praise one of the carers last Thursday evening. She went above and beyond and even used her own break to sit with another resident during tea time. I can clarify that she spent in excess of 45 minutes trying to get food and fluids into her patient. It was such a lovely way she had about her that I reported it the next day to another member of staff. It actually brought tears to my eyes. There has to be a bond to be able to do this job, to be able to give the care, and on the whole, I have witnessed many carers similar to this, who treat these residents as if they were their own family, but this particular evening stood out for me. I was blown away. Thanks.
Further to your request for feedback on any suggestions for how to improve at Little Haven Residential home. Unfortunately, I have no suggestions for what you can do better. All I would say is that my mother is extremely happy at Little Haven. She consistently tells me that she has her own space but there are always people around who are friendly and helpful. Mother never thought she would find herself in such a residential home, which she often calls home to me. Also, she thinks it’s one of the best decisions in her life that she chose Little Haven to spend her final years. Keep up the good work.
Mum is very well looked after. She is offered many activities, and enjoys the ones she takes part in. The food is cooked to a high standard and she can always access snacks if necessary. We are welcome to make hot drinks so feels as if she is at home.
My mother recently moved into full-time care at Little haven (3 months ago). The majority of staff are kind and caring. I believe my mother's experience has been less ideal, this, in my opinion, has been caused by staff shortage that continues (across the care sector) together with problems with the facilities (shower, telephone and bath).
Little Haven cared for my friend until she passed away. Amazing care, lovely home and I know she was very happy staying there as she talked about how lovely the staff are, and the young man who looked after her personal care. She was very comfortable and enjoyed the food. It's a home and I would recommend it to everyone.
The staff at Little Haven are so caring kind and friendly that it is difficult to find the words to describe them. They care for my lovely wife in a way that I never could. Their 'love' is practical in ways that mine could never be. Not only are they kind to my wife but to me too. My tears frequently bear witness to their kindness.
I would say all the staff are very excellent and the manager in the jobs they do everything for the residents in this home, however, the staff are wonderful too.
My mum is partially sighted, deaf, and a wheelchair user. She needs assistance with all aspects of daily life. Most of the time, she is happy being at Little Haven, however, it very much depends on who is on duty. There are times when she is not given enough time and is left feeling anxious. It has proved difficult to find the right person to speak to at times, although the reception staff are always excellent.
